Abstract

Abstract

The aims of the research are to correlational analysis on aerobic gymnastics the students’ physical fitness and their learning motivation at STIKES Hang Tuah Surabaya. Method: the research design is correlational analysis with cross sectional approach. The number of population are 58 with a sample of 50 was taken by simple random sampling. Univariate data were analyzed usingg the frequency distribution. Bivariate data were tested by using spearman rank with alpha <0.05. Results: The statistical test with spearman ranks showed a significant relationship between the aerobic gymnastic and the students’s physical fitness with p value of 0.022. There is a significant relationship between the aerobic gymnastic and their learning motivation with a p value of 0.027 which is smaller than alpha 0.05. Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARSCOV-2) or more familiarly known as Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a worldwide epidemic that causes chaos in various aspects of life. The impact of COVID-19 is not only felt physically and biologically, but can also have a psycho, social, cultural, economic, political and spiritual impact. In general, the perspective of the Madurese community is divided into two groups, namely people who believe and accept the existence of COVID-19 and people who refuse, do not believe and are ignorant. In the first group, the public really understands well the Covid-19 phenomenon and adheres to prevention protocols and everything related to government programs in preventive efforts. However, in the second group, people have a tendency to distrust the existence of COVID-19 and have low adherence to health protocols. Meanwhile, the special character of the Madurese community is very high obedience, one of which is applied through a philosophy with the term "ngabuleh" especially to the kyai or teacher of the Koran. This is a potential space that can be empowered so that in the future all forms of information that support the welfare of the health sector can be accepted and applied by the Madurese community. One of the strategies is through training on mental health and psychosocial support (DKJPS). The method used in the implementation of community service starts from the DKJPS training, the application by the participants and their families for 8 weeks, then evaluation of the implementation in a formative and summative manner. The result is that the DKJPS training and application during the Covid-19 pandemic tends to be able to change people's behavior in a more constructive direction in the health sector. Several applications have been implemented well and are expected to continue to run, while some DKJPS applications still require internalization and collaboration with many parties so that healthy messages are conveyed in a persuasive and easy manner by the Madurese community who are thick with culture and spirituality.

Abstract

Background: From the beginning of its initial appearance until mid-2021, Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19) is a feared outbreak around the world, including in Indonesia and particularly in Madura. The negative perception of stress will further weaken self-strength both physically and mentally so that resilience and coping mechanisms tend to be maladaptive. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the spiritual culture of Madurese communities in resilience and physical health. Methods: This analysis will later become the basis in the formulation of a model of spiritual cultural towards resilience, and physical health. In the design of explanatory observational research, the first stage is to explain the construct and its contributing indicators. The second stage is to conduct FGD with respondents as well as to consult with experts. The population is a community on the island of Madura with a sample consisting of 400 respondents using probability sampling, namely cluster random sampling based on a predetermined population area. The exogenous variable is the culture of spirituality. Endogenous variables are resilience and physical health. Data were collected using questionnaire research and analyzed using structural models with SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) software. Results: The results showed that spirituality culture factors had a positive effect on resilience with a coefficient of 0.449. Spirituality culture factors had a positive effect on physical health with a coefficient of 0.161, and resilience factors had a positive effect on physical health with a coefficient of 0.172. Conclusion: This indicates that the higher the spiritual culture of the Madurese community, the higher the resilience, psychological well-being, and physical health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
