Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of the direct instruction (DI) learning model in improving the competence of classroom teachers in SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Palangka Raya by applying language teaching method in the design of Integrated Thematic Lesson Plan for Indonesian Language Learning Focus. Eleven class teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut were selected as the sample of this research using a purposive sampling technique which was taken from the total population. This research used a quantitative method using an experimental design named one group pretest-posttest design. From the results of the analysis of two related sample statistical test, it can be concluded that the result of this study showed the DI learning model is effective to improve the competence of elementary school teachers in applying the language teaching method. Keywords: direct instruction models, teacher, primary school, language teaching methods Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keefektifan penggunaan model pembelajaran direct instruction (DI) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut dengan mengaplikasikan metode pengajaran bahasa pada rancangan RPP Tematik Terpadu Fokus Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Sebelas orang guru kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Palangkaraya sebagai sampelnya yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dari jumlah populasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan model desain eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Dari hasil analisis uji statistik dua sampel berkorelasi (two related sample), dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran DI efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam mengaplikasikan metode pengajaran bahasa.Kata kunci: model direct instruction, guru, sekolah dasar, metode pengajaran bahasa

Abstract

Rumah betang atau huma betang adalah rumah adat suku Dayak khas Kalimantan Tengah yang terdapat di berbagai daerah Kalimantan Tengah. Rumah Betang di bangun dalam bentuk panggung dengan ketinggian tiga sampai lima meter dari tanah dengan panjang bangunan mencapai 150meter dan lebar hingga 30 meter. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Huma Betang sangat dijunjung tinggi oleh masyarakat dan menjadi pedoman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah. Selain berfungsi sebagai rumah adat, Huma Betang memiliki filosofi kehidupan yang sangat dalam dan mendasar bagi masyarakat seperti nilai gotong royong, kebersamaan, toleransi, rukun, dan hidup berdampingan. Gotong royong dan kerukunan sebagai nilai yang mapan dan terpelihara hingga saat ini. Manfaat dari eksistensi dan implementasi falsafah Huma Betang terhadap kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara, beberapa diantaranya adalah Huma Betang sebagai refleksi kehidupan masyarakat yang toleran (togetherness in diversity). Rekontruksi nilai-nilai huma betang dalam kehidupaan saat ini sangat diperlukan khususnya dalam rangka menyambut wacana pemindahan ibu kota negara Indonesia. Revitalisasi budaya dapat dimulai dari pengangkatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal, salah satunya dari filosofi rumah adat Huma Betang. Revitalisasi dan implementasi falsafah huma betang dapat dilakukan dengan secara formal dilakukan melalui pembelajaran berbasis etnopedagogik pada mata pelajaran muatan lokal, secara informal dilakukan melalui pola perilaku keteladanan guru. Untuk membentuk karakter siswa yang berasazkan falsafah rumah betang yang baik harus terdapat tiga komponen yaitu moral knowing, (pengetahuan tentang moral), moral feeling (perasaan tentang moral) dan moral action (perbuatan moral).

Abstract

Munculnya wabah covid-19 (corona virus disease  2019) membuat warga kasongan kebingungan karena negara melakukan lock down bahkan PSBB ( Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar). Warga harus bekerja dan beraktivitas di rumah saja dan perjalanan pun dibatasi. Dengan kondisi ini, beberapa warga baru mulai memperdayakan lahan sendiri di rumah dengan bertanam atau berkebun dan juga berternak akan tetapi masih banyak juga warga yang belum mengetahui budidaya sayur maupun ternak yang bisa dilakukan di lahan sempit terutama di perumahan-perumahan. Hal ini juga dialami ibu-ibu muda anggota Nasyiatul Aisyiah Katingan. Dengan kondisi tersebut, tim pengabdian melakukan pengabdian dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada mitra yaitu anggota NA Katingan dalam budikdamber dan sayuran. Pelatihan meliputi pelatihan sistem budikdamber, pemeliharaan budikdamber, usaha ikan lele dan pengolahan produk ikan lele. Sedangkan pembinaan dilakukan saat pembuatan media untuk budikdamber, saat pemeliharaan ikan dan sayuran dan saat panen ikan dan sayuran.            Hasil capaian pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah terlaksananya pelatihan tentang budikdamber dan sayuran. Pelatihan dilaksanakan via zoom yang dihadiri oleh dua puluh anggota NA Katingan. pedampingan dilakukan kepada lima orang yang berdomisili di Kasongan,Katingan Hilir Kalimantan Tengah. Kelima orang yang didampingi dalam budikdamber semuanya memiliki rumah yang lahannya terbatas. Kelima orang tersebut mampu membuat budikdamber dengan memadukan dengan sayuran kangkung. Budikdamber yang dilakukan oleh subyek sasaran masih dalam tahap memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi sendiri karena dari kelima subyek yang didampingi hanya satu orang saja yang menjual ikan lelenya, itupun masih dalam skala kecil, hanya 1 ember untuk budikdamber yang berisi 60 ekor ikan lele.Kata Kunci : budikdamber, ikan lele, sayuran

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the direct instruction (DI) approach to improve the knowledge and skill of classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya in implementing humanist literacy education in the integrated thematic learning at the two primary schools. Ten classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut taken as the sample by using purposive sampling technique from the total population. This study used a quantitative method with an experimental design model of one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study found the average grade of the Teachers ability only 61 in the pretest evaluation, then it increased to 78.5 in the posttest. Both values were statistically analyzed using t-test calculation, where the result showed t-count (2.800) is greater than t-table (1.833). Thus, it can be concluded that the DI approach is effective in increasing the knowledge and skill of classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya by implementing humanist literacy education within the integrated thematic learning at both primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the learning activity of fifth grade students by applying the talking stick learning method. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDN 6 Langkai Palangka Raya which consisted of 25 students. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out 3 times with data collection techniques using student activity observation sheets and field notes. The results showed that the application of the talking stick learning method can increase student learning activity, this is evidenced in the pre-cycle activities as a whole, the results of observations got an average score of 50.9, in the first cycle of meeting 1 it increased to 59.1, at the second meeting. increased to 65, at the 3rd meeting increased to 72.7. Furthermore, in the second cycle of meeting 1, student activity reached 79.8, the second meeting reached 84.7 and at the third meeting increased to 92.6 with a very good category. So that the increase from pre-cycle activities of 50.9 to the first cycle of 72.7 activities, there was an increase of 21.8 points. As for the activities of the first cycle of 72.7 to the activities of the second cycle of 92.6, there was an increase of 19.9 points. In addition, the success of the application of the talking stick learning method is influenced by the skills of the teacher in guiding students during learning, so that learning using the talking stick method feels fun. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the talking stick learning method is proven to increase the learning activity of fifth grade students at SDN 6 Langkai Palangka Raya.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the thematic learning outcomes of students in grade IV SDN Dahian Tunggal, most of whom have not reached the KKM, there are still students who find it difficult to understand thematic material. Many students are still less active in participating in learning activities, there is less variety of learning models that teachers apply so that student learning outcomes are less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of examples non examples learning model on student learning outcomes. The type of research used is True Experimental Design using a pre-test post-test control group design model. This research was conducted in class IV-A as an experimental class with a total of 28 students and IV-B as a control class with a total of 22 students. From the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that tcount was 2,509 and ttable was 1,677 with a significant level of 5% and dk (n1+n2-2). This shows that there is an influence of the learning model on the learning outcomes of the "uniqueness of the area where I live" sub-theme.

Abstract

The Community Empowerment Program (PPM) is one of the schemes in community service activities at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Palangka Raya (FKIP UPR). This PPM activity was carried out by the Lecturer Team from FKIP UPR by giving training and mentoring to six-classroom teachers of primary school at SDN-2 Panarung, Kota Palangka Raya to develop a language learning model based on text and CLIL genres containing artifact discourse in Indonesian language learning in the primary school level. From the result of the evaluation given to the knowledge and skill of teachers before being given training in the PPM activity, they only obtained an average score of 65. Furthermore, after being given training and assistance in the PPM activity, the teachers’ score increased to an average of 85.7. Thus, the results of this PPM activity can improve the knowledge and skill of classroom teachers at SDN-2 Panarung to develop the text genre- and CLIL-based language learning model containing artifact discourse in Indonesian language learning in the primary school level

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Lecturer Program for Assisting Community Empowerment (PDPPM) is one of the schemes in the community service activity at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, the University of Palangka Raya (FKIP UPR). This activity program was carried out by the lecturer team from the faculty to provide training to ten class-teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut and SDN-5 Panarung Palangkaraya through the implementation of humanist literacy education in the integrated thematic learning at both elementary schools. The purpose of this PDPPM program is to help fulfill the pedagogical and professional competencies of those class-teachers in applying learning in the digital era of the 21st century and in the disruption era through humanist literacy knowledge into learning activities at the elementary school. From the results of the evaluation given at the end of the activity regarding teachers’ performance before being given the training, an average score of 61 was obtained. Then, there was an increase after being given the training, where an average score reached 78.1. Thus, the results of this training activity can improve teachers’ competence in mastering basic concepts and theories about humanist literacy education. Keywords: education, humanist literacy, integrated thematic, primary  school ABSTRAK Program Dosen Pendamping Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PDPPM) merupakan salah satu skim dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Palangka Raya (FKIP UPR). Kegiatan PDPPM ini dilaksanakan oleh Tim Dosen dari FKIP UPR guna memberikan pelatihan kepada sepuluh orang Guru Kelas di SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut dan SDN-5 Panarung Kota Palangkaraya tentang implementasi pendidikan literasi humanis dalam pembelajaran tematik terpadu di sekolah dasar. Tujuan kegiatan PDPPM ini untuk membantu memenuhi kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional para Guru Kelas dalam mengaplikasikan pembelajaran era digital abad-21 dan era disrupsi tentang pengetahuan literasi humanis ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Dari hasil evaluasi yang diberikan terhadap aktivitas dan kinerja guru sebelum diberikan pelatihan dalam kegiatan PDPPM hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 61, dan mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan pelatihan dalam kegiatan PDPMM, yakni rata-rata 78,1. Dengan demikian, hasil kegiatan PDPPM ini dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menguasai konsep dasar dan teori tentang pendidikan literasi humanis.  Kata kunci: pendidikan, literasi humanis, tematik terpadu, sekolah dasar

Abstract

The 21st century learning involving artificial intelligence indeed cannot replace one's humanist character. This is the importance of an educator in the primary school (SD) having a humanist educator soul to create a superior generation by realizing Pancasila character. Students in the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program as teacher candidates should be able to prepare their competencies in designing text-based integrated learning with humanist literacy education. This is done in order to build a humanist character based on Pancasila values to the students. The research was conducted to design an integrated learning of lecturing model that implements a text-based approach filled with humanist literacy education. This integrated learning of lecturing model was used to build Pancasila Student Profile for designing integrated learning tools in the PGSD Study Program of the University of Palangka Raya. The implementation of this research used a qualitative-quantitative method (mixed-method research design). The qualitative method is used to design the lecturing model and the quantitative method is used to test the effectiveness of the lecturing model using the Wilcoxon Test. The results show the average score of pre-test was 56 and that of post-test was 78. Furthermore, the results of the pre-test-post-test were analyzed for their level of effectiveness using the Wilcoxon test which showed p=0.000 where p<0.05 meaning Ho was rejected. Hence, the use of lecturing model by orienting the Integrated Learning Theory and Practice using a text-based approach with humanist literacy education is effectively used in increasing student learning outcomes (CPL). This result brought a positive outcome to students through the course taught to design integrated thematic learning device using the text-based approach containing humanist literacy education to build the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada masalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran menyimak dongeng. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan rendahnya nilai hasil belajar siswa pada keterampilan menyimak dongeng di sekolah dasar. Siswa merasa pembelajaran menyimak dongeng yang seharusnya menarik menjadi pembelajaran yang membosankan karena hanya dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah. Padahal pembelajaran menyimak cerita, seperti dongeng dapat dilakukan guru melalui penggunaan media audiovisual film dongeng anak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kemampuan menyimak dongeng di kelas III SDN-3 Menteng Palangkaraya melalui penggunaan media audiovisual film dongeng anak. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan pada subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 siswa kelas III di SDN-3 Menteng Palangkaraya tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Waktu penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap persiapan hingga pelaporan hasil penelitian dilakukan selama 6 bulan, yakni mulai bulan Maret s.d Agustus 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng di setiap siklus. Ketuntasan belajar di siklus I hanya 60% dengan rata-rata kelas mencapai 69, dan meningkat setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus II yaitu 93% tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata kelas mencapai 80. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media audiovisual film dongeng anak secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas III SDN-3 Menteng tahun pelajaran 2022/2023.
