Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the influence of antecedent factors onto Esia Customer Loyalty in Solo. Data was obtained from 123 people via questionnaire by convenience sampling. The analysis results show that: perceived service quality affects customer loyalty positively, perceived service quality affects trust in the provider positively, perceived service quality affects corporate image positively, trust in the provider affects customer loyalty positively, corporate image affects customer loyalty positively, the effect of perceived service quality is greater by indirect effect through corporate image and or trust in the provider. Its direct effect is marked by  0.172 while its indirect effect through corporate image is marked by  0.184 and through trust in the provider is marked by  0.175.

Abstract

Babak Agni Pariksha (percobaan api atas Sita) di dalam kisah Ramayana telah menginspirasi banyak sastrawan Indonesia di dalam menghasilkan karya-karya sastra. Selama ini kajian mengenai karya yang terinspirasi oleh Agni Pariksha sudah banyak dilakukan, tetapi belum ada yang menggunakan pendekatan sastra bandingan feminis. Di samping itu, masih terdapat keraguan mengenai keterlibatan laki-laki di dalam feminisme dan/atau kritik terhadap sistem patriarki. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sastra bandingan feminis terhadap tiga sajak: ?Asmaradana? karya Subagio Sastrowardoyo, ?Sita Sihir? karya Sapardi Djoko Damono, dan ?Sepucuk Surat Sita Sebelum Labuh Pati? karya Soni Farid Maulana. Pembacaan cermat dan analisis isi dilakukan atas ketiga sajak untuk menyibak makna laten bernuansa feminisme sembari dibandingkan dengan kisah asli Ramayana. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa ketiga sajak mengkritik representasi ideal dari konstruksi relasi gender heteroseksual di dalam sistem patriarki yang terbangun dari kisah Ramayana. Temuan ini memberikan bukti bahwa laki-laki pun dapat mengajukan kritik terhadap sistem patriarki dari posisi mereka sebagai laki-laki dan sekaligus mengartikulasikan pandangan mereka yang koheren dengan gerakan feminisme[A Comparative Feminist Approach on the Variety of Re-writing Sita?s Agni Pariksha in Three Indonesian Poems] Agni Pariksha (Sita?s Fire Ordeal) in Ramayana has inspired many Indonesian writers. Previous studies on the writings inspired by Agni Pariksha in Indonesian literature have never used feminist comparative literature approach. Moreover, there have been doubts on the involvement of men in feminism and/or in criticizing patriarchy. This study used feminist comparative literature approach on three Indonesian poems: ?Asmaradana? by Subagio Sastrowardoyo, ?Sita Sihir? by Sapardi Djoko Damono, and ?Sepucuk Surat Sita Sebelum Labuh Pati? by Soni Farid Maulana. These poems were close read and analyzed using content analysis to reveal their potential profeminism messages whilst also compared to the story of Ramayana. This study found that the three poems criticize the ideal representation of heterosexual gender relation construction in the patriarchal system based on the story of Ramayana. The findings suggest that men are able to give criticism towards the patriarchal system from their subject position as men while at the same time also articulate their pro-feminism stance.Keywords: Agni Pariksha; feminist comparative literature; existentialist feminism; subject question;subject in situation

Abstract

Abstract: This study is to describe discourse on literacy in Indonesia. This study used an extensive survey of related literature on literacy which was accessed on Google Cendekia in December 2019 using “literasi abad 21” as its keyword. The analysis is descriptive qualitative. This study concludes that: First, discourse on literacy in Indonesia started with the government’s National Literacy Movement in 2015. The discourse on literacy in Indonesia is based on New Vision for Education: Unlocking the Potential of Technology a framework for 21st century education from World Economic Forum and Boston Consulting Group, PISA 2015 Assessment and Analytical Framework from OECD, and 21st Century Skills Map from The Partnership for 21st Century Learning. Second, there are nineteen literacies discussed and developed within the discourse. However, environmental literacy and ecological literacy are absent, or at least lacking compared to the other nineteen literacies in the conversation. Considering environmental literacy and ecological literacy are both important for the future of Indonesia, it is suggested that Indonesian scholars in education should start talking more about these literacies in the conversation on literacy and their importance in Indonesian education. Keywords: literacy, 21st century literacy, Indonesian literacy. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan diskursus mengenai literasi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan survei daring dengan menggunakan Google Cendekia dengan kata kunci “literasi abad 21” yang dilakukan di bulan Desember 2019. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini ada dua. Pertama, diskursus mengenai literasi di Indonesia dimulai dengan Gerakan Literasi Nasional di tahun 2015. Diskursus mengenai literasi di Indonesia didasarkan atas tiga rujukan kerangka kerja pendidikan yaitu New Vision for Education: Unlocking the Potential of Technology dari World Economic Forum and Boston Consulting Group, PISA 2015 Assessment and Analytical Framework dari OECD, dan 21st Century Skills Map dari The Partnership for 21st Century Learning. Kedua, terdapat sembilan belas literasi yang dibicarakan dan berkembang di dalam diskursus mengenai literasi di Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, literasi lingkungan dan ekologi tidak muncul atau kurang dibicarakan. Menimbang bahwa literasi lingkungan dan ekologi penting bagi masa depan Indonesia, penelitian ini memberikan saran perlunya pembelajaran literasi ini tidak hanya mulai kencang dibicarakan tetapi juga urgensi implementasinya di dunia pendidikan di Indonesia  Kata kunci: literasi, literasi abad 21, literasi Indonesia

Abstract

This article aims to review some discussions on literature learning in Indonesian schools before the pandemic, highlight the real problems, and propose a new model of learning during and after the pandemic. This is a qualitative narrative article. This article interconnects between the references and the writer’s personal experience in tackling the problems and proposing solutions. Based on the findings, literature learning in Indonesian schools needs to be made more challenging and fun for students by refreshing the benefit of literature learning within Indonesian literature teachers’ minds which is expected to change the teachers’ perspective on literature learning into something positive and beneficial in literature learning as well as the use of the internet and digital information technology which serves as students’ new learning environment in developing Higher-Order Thinking Skills and 4C skills (critical thinking & problem solving, communication, collaboration, dan creativity & innovation). Meanwhile, the introduction of basic knowledge on the sociology of literature, reader-response criticism, and intertextuality to students will give them a certain framework and direction needed in a critical and challenging reading of literary work. This can be applied in literature learning during and after the pandemic.

Abstract

Pendekatan sosiologi sastra adalah salah satu pendekatan yang sering dipakai di dalam kajian sastra di Indonesia sejak Sapardi Djoko Damono memperkenalkannya di dunia kritik sastra Indonesia pada tahun 1978. Akan tetapi, di dalam praktik penerapan pendekatan sosiologi sastra di Indonesia terkini ada anggapan bahwa sosiologi sastra tidak cocok dengan kritik sastra feminis meski sudah jamak diketahui bahwa feminisme tidak bisa lepas dari konstruk sosial dan praktik patriarki di dalam masyarakat. Artikel ini hendak menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan sosiologi sastra dalam bentuk sosiologi feminis dengan kritik sastra feminis tidak saling kontradiktif. Artikel ini adalah artikel ulasan pustaka sistematik. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pembacaan cermat ekstensif terhadap literatur yang bertautan dengan sosiologi sastra, sosiologi feminis, dan kritik sastra feminis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dinyatakan bahwa pendekatan sosiologi feminis dalam kajian sastra setidaknya dapat diterapkan melalui agenda pembacaan, dengan pembacaan anakronistik, atas kerja pemasaran dan pengusungan, atas situasi aktivitas pembaca, dan berdasarkan situasi dan kesadaran pengarang. Praktik-praktik ini sejatinya praktik yang dilakukan di dalam kritik sastra feminis. Artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan sosiologi dalam rupa sosiologi feminis dengan kritik sastra feminis pada dasarnya tidak saling bertentangan sebab keduanya berasal dari feminisme.Sociology of literature is widely used in Indonesian literary criticism since its introduction in 1978 by Sapardi Djoko Damono. However, there is a doubt in recent Indonesian literary criticism to accept feminist literary criticism in some way as part of sociology of literature whilst it is already that feminism deals with social construct and patriarchy practice in society. This article aims to show that sociology of literature in the form of feminist sociology and feminist literary criticism are not contradictory as one claims. This is a systematic literature review. The method of collecting data is extensive close reading on sociology of literature, feminist sociology, and feminist literary criticism. Based on the extensive close reading, there are at least five models can be used in feminist sociologal approach: through reading agenda, using anachronistic reading, on the marketing strategy and endorsement, on the situation of the readers’ activity, and based on writer’s situation and consciousness. This article shows that feminist sociological approach in literature and feminist literary criticism are not in conflict as the two come from feminism.

Abstract

Penggunaan cerita pendek di dalam pembelajaran nilai-nilai antikorupsi di Indonesia masih sangat kurang. Selama ini pembelajaran nilai-nilai antikorupsi lebih banyak menggunakan buku berseri atau buku cerita dalam proses pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan menyingkap potensi cerita pendek “The Pinocchio Disease” karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra yang terkait dengan pendidikan nilai-nilai antikorupsi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis hermeneutika. Prosedur yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data dan analisis meliputi (1) pembacaan teks di dalam mencari bagian tertentu yang relevan dengan fokus kajian; (2) penautan bagian tertentu di dalam teks dengan konteksnya serta relevansinya sebagai cara komunikasi dialogis antara teks dengan konteks; (3) pemberian makna atas interaksi teks dengan konteks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, cerpen “The Pinocchio Disease” mengandung sarkasme terhadap nilai-nilai antikorupsi seperti (1) kejujuran, (2) kepedulian, (3) kedisiplinan, (4) tanggung-jawab, (5) kerja keras, (6) sederhana, dan (7) keadilan. Ini berarti bahwa cerita pendek ini cocok untuk dipergunakan di dalam pembelajaran nilai-nilai antikorupsi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa cerpen “The Pinocchio Disease” dapat dipergunakan untuk mengembangkan Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dan sebagai materi bacaan sastra dalam pendidikan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The Indonesian literary tradition during the reform period was marked by the rise of female writers who raised the issue of feminism. Within the framework of locality and contextuality, the feminism movement echoed by female writers comes in diverse expressions. This study aims to describe the reference figures and issues of Islamic feminism that are represented in novels by Abidah El Khalieqy. This research uses a feminist literary criticism approach. The data sources of the research are three novels by Abidah El Khalieqiy, namely Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, Geni Jora, and Mataraisa. The technique used to gather feminist voices in the three novels is a close reading. The analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study are as follows. First, Islamic feminist figures who were referred to by the feminism movement were Fatima Mernisi and Riffat Hassan. Fatima Mernisi is known as a misogonic hadith critic, while Riffat Hassan uses the hermeneutic principle in the interpretation of the Quran. Second, the issues of feminism represented are: the lives of women in the pesantren tradition, the position of women in the family, the view of normal sexual relations and relationships, and the interpretation of the hadiths and verses of the Qur'an relating to women. Islamic feminism voiced by Abidah El Khalieqy brings its own color compared to the Western feminism movement which refers to the concept of ecriture feminine. Keywords: Islamic Feminism, ecriture feminine, Indonesian literary history, politics of difference, intersectionality REPRESENTASI FEMINISME ISLAM DALAM NOVEL-NOVEL KARYA ABIDAH EL KHALIEQY AbstrakTradisi sastra Indonesia masa reformasi ditandai maraknya penulis perempuan yang mengangkat permasalahan feminisme. Dalam bingkai lokalitas dan kontekstualitas, gerakan feminisme yang digaungkan para penulis perempuan hadir dalam ekspresi yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tokoh rujukan dan persoalan feminisme Islam yang direpresentasikan dalam novel-novel karya Abidah El Khalieqy. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kritik sastra feminis. Sumber data penelitian adalah tiga novel karya Abidah El Khalieqiy, yaitu Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, Geni Jora, dan Mataraisa. Teknik yang dipakai untuk mengumpulkan suara-suara feminisme di dalam ketiga novel adalah pembacaan cermat (close reading). Analisis dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, tokoh feminis Islam yang menjadi rujukan gerakan feminisme adalah Fatima Mernisi dan Riffat Hassan. Fatima Mernisi dikenal dengan kritik hadist misogonis, sedangkan Riffat Hassan dengan prinsip hermeneutika dalam tafsir Alquran. Kedua, persoalan feminisme yang direpresentasikan adalah: kehidupan perempuan dalam tradisi pesantren, kedudukan perempuan dalam keluarga, pandangan terhadap relasi dan hubungan seksual yang normal, dan tafsir terhadap hadist dan ayat Al-quran berkaitan dengan perempuan. Feminisme Islam yang disuarakan Abidah El Khalieqy membawa warna tersendiri dibandingkan dengan gerakan feminisme Barat yang merujuk pada konsep ecriture feminine. Kata kunci: feminisme Islam, ecriture feminine, sejarah sastra Indonesia, politik perbedaan, interseksionalitas.

Abstract

There is a missing subject in the conversations on Indonesian cyberliterature. This case study research identifies academic conversations on cyberliterature in Indonesia. Literature review using articles written by Indonesian academia is used to build an assumption on the discursive development of cyberliterature in Indonesia which misses electronic literature. The assumption is then verified with the data collected from one-shot method survey. The survey using two simple questions targeted Indonesian lecturers from several universities in Java, Sumatera, and Kalimantan. Qualitative content analysis is used to describe our findings. The analysis reveals that Indonesian academia conversations on cyberliterature only focus on digital publishing and the freedom of expression offers by the presence of the internet. The conversations on cyberliterature by Indonesian academia have not really covered electronic literature and how it may develop in the Indonesian literary context.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the historical development of comparative literature and its current issues. Comparative literature is a mandatory course in the Indonesian language and literature study program in most Indonesian universities. There are at least six books used as common references in teaching comparative literature in Indonesia. However, these books have not covered recent development in comparative literature, especially the emergence of Chinese school and some new directions within comparative literature. This literature review article collects references from selective authoritative sources on the internet to describe the historical development of comparative literature and its current issues. This article shows that the expansions in comparative literature are intricate with deconstruction and reconstruction of world literature, dialogue and the meeting between West and East, and the presence of the digital age. From the dialogue on world literature and West meeting East vice versa, the Chinese school has its foundation, whilst the presence of the digital age makes comparative literature have new things to explore and work on the usage of the different medium in an umbrella term, intermediality.

Abstract

Pendekatan ekofeminisme di dunia akademia Indonesia sudah mulai marak digunakan oleh beberapa akademisi, tetapi masih terdapat sedikit kerancuan di dalam penggunaannya di dalam kajian sastra. Artikel ini menyuguhkan pembacaan berperspektif ekofeminisme yang menekankan pada kebergantungan konteks dan menolak adanya narasi tunggal ala Warren dan Cheney. Karya sastra yang dipilih adalah sajak “Isteri” karya Darmanto Jatman. Data dikumpulkan dengan pembacaan cermat dan analisis dilakukan menggunakan analisis tekstual. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah pandangan hidup Jawa yang menempatkan istri sebagai sakti, sumber berkah, sumber rezeki, dan sumber hidup. Di dalam kerangka berpikir patriarkis Jawa, perempuan (istri) dan alam menjadi bagian penting dari eksistensi laki-laki. Konteks sosial dan budaya Jawa yang terdapati di dalam sajak menunjukkan deskripsi relasi gender dalam kehidupan domestik yang berbeda dengan apa yang berlaku di Barat. Temuan penelitian ini memberi pijakan arah bagaimana gerakan ekofeminisme bisa lebih tepat menyesuaikan konteks sistem patriarki Jawa yang berbeda dengan Barat dan kemungkinan bagaimana wacana bangun ulang relasi gender antara laki-laki dan perempuan Jawa dapat digugah jika diinginkan. Temuan penelitian ini menjadi pembuka jalan bagi penelitian lanjutan atas karya-karya sastra pengarang Jawa lainnya.Despite the growing number of Indonesian academia using ecofeminism approach in their literary criticism, some misunderstandings on ecofeminism still exist. This article provides a reference on ecofeminism perspective and gives an example how ecofeminism perspective from Warren and Cheney is applied in literary criticism. A well-known poem entitled “Isteri” (Wife) written by a Javanese poet, Darmanto Jatman, is chosen. Close reading is used to gather data which is relevant to ecofeminism issues. Textual analysis is then used in the analysis. The Javanese men see their wives as their source of power, blessing, wealth, and life. Nature and women, for Javanese men, are parts of men’s existence and cosmic balance. It shows evidence of how ecofeminism criticism, which emphasises diversities on the relation and issues between humans, their environment, and their social contexts, in Javanese context should be applied differently to Western context. The poem displays a gender relation between husband and wife in Javanese household life which is different to the West. The implication of this finding may give a reference and direction towards the possibilities of Javanese ecofeminism further discussions and renegotiation of gender relation between men and women in Javanese society. To have a more comprehensive view of how Javanese patriarchy works, further research on other Javanese literary works is needed.
