Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis powtoon.com yang dapat memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan dan lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian survey, dengan teknik wawancara dan penyebaran angket dalam bentuk google form kepada siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) di kecamatan yaitu Tempe. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa SMA UPT SMA Negeri 1 Wajo. Penentuan jumlah sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 25 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 100% siswa menyatakan bahwa multimedia interaktif berbasis powtoon.com penting untuk dikembangkan dan diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, 80,6% guru masih belum pernah menggunakan multimedia interaktif dimana masih menggunakan media sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai perlunya pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis powtoon.com.

Abstract

The focus of learning design and learning innovations for the twenty-first century is preparing students with communication skills. Students must have communication skills to effectively transfer scientific knowledge, processes, knowledge, insights, and other important data. This study aimed to determine the profile of communication skills possessed by pre-service biology teachers at IAIN Ternate. This is a quantitative descriptive study involving 65 students from the Tadris Biology Department at IAIN Ternate. The research was conducted during the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Observation sheets of verbal and nonverbal communication were used to collect data. The technique for collecting data is direct observation (experience) of the learning process and interactive class discussion in the target classroom. The results indicated that pre-service biology teachers' verbal and nonverbal communication abilities were extremely deficient. These findings provide educators with an overview of effective learning approaches for training students to be independent and proficient in 21st-century skills

Abstract

Tujuan dari program pengabdian ini adalah mengajarkan kepada masyarakat yaitu pengolahan produk rumput laut menjadi rupiah. Dusun Masiae,Desa Paojepe,Kecamatan Keera,Kabupaten Wajo,Sulawesi Selatan adalah salah satu desa yang memiliki potensi pertanian, perikanan dan lautan. Secara geografis, berjarak kurang lebih 258 Km dari Kota Makassar,kurang lebih 60 Km dari Ibukota Kabupaten Wajo dan sekitar 1,6 Km dari Kantor Kecamatan Keera, Dengan luas wilayah Desa Paojepe ini memiliki luas ± 32,2 Km2 dengan jumlah penduduk 1.799 Jiwa. Jumlah KK yang bekerja di sektor pertanian adalah 200 KK. Jadi kami berinisiatif untuk membuat program ini bertujuan untuk kebangkitan perekonomian desa. Karena biasanya dia hanya mengeringkan lalu menjualnya saja, Kemudian Masyarakat membutuhkan suatu diversifikasi produk olahan rumput laut yang mempunyai daya tahan lama tanpa bahan pengawet tambahan serta mudah diproduksi pada skala rumah tangga. Produk tersebut diantaranya adalah kerupuk rumput laut. Target luaran yang nantinya dapat memberikan manfaat dan merupakan suatu metode untuk memproduksi kerupuk rumput laut sebagai salah satu bentuk diversifikasi produk. Disamping itu dari desain proses akan diperoleh alat perajang kerupuk. Kegiatan program dibagi menjadi beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama adalah melakukan percobaan terlebih dahulu yang akan diterapkan di posko, tahap kedua mendesain peralatan produksi, tahap ketiga memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan produksi serta pengemasan. Diharapkan mampu membantu masyarakat bertahan dalam masa pandemi ini maupun untuk periode yang berkelanjutan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan mengembangkan inovasi pembuatan kerupuk rumput laut yang bervariasi, pengemasan yang baik, serta penjualan yang efektif dengan memanfaatkan digital marketing pada E- commerce maupun media sosial sebagai sarana strategi penjualan

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the efficacy of the QASEE learning model in increasing critical thinking abilities of students in class XI at UPT SMA Negeri 6 Wajo. This study was carried out at SMA Negeri 6 Wajo during the academic year 2021/2022. The sample strategy employed is a basic random sampling method with a quasi-experimental design pattern with nonequivalent control groups. Essay exams were used to collect data on critical thinking abilities. The acquired data was then examined using the ANOVA test. Data study using the SPSS 26 for Windows tool reveals that the QASEE learning model has an impact on developing students' critical thinking abilities. The experimental class's N-Gain value for critical thinking abilities is 0.71, whereas the control class's N-Gain value is 0.42. Based on the ANOVA test findings, the significant value of critical thinking skills is less than 0.05, indicating that the QASEE learning model has an impact on increasing students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Metacognitive awareness has a significant and complex correlation with cognitive learning outcomes. So far, there have not been many studies investigating the correlation between metacognitive awareness and cognitive learning outcomes based on gender. This research aimed at determining the correlation between metacognitive awareness and cognitive learning outcomes based on the gender of biology education students. The samples of this research were biology education students in the third semester of 2020/2021 academic year. The research samples comprised 104 students consisting of 47 male students and 57 female students. The research instruments were used to collect the data of students’ metacognitive awareness and cognitive learning outcomes. The results of this research showed that metacognitive awareness had a significant correlation with cognitive learning outcomes both in male students and female students. Metacognitive awareness contributed 66.5% towards the cognitive learning outcomes of male students. This number was greater than that in female students, which was only 39.40%. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the correlation between metacognitive awareness and cognitive learning outcomes in male students and in female students was not parallel and not coincide. The results of this research are expected to have effective contributions for educators to continually improve the achievement of learning objectives that emphasize on the development of metacognition and cognition in order to produce competent and quality graduates

Abstract

This research is a case study research using qualitative descriptive research methods. The purpose of this study is to describe the phenomenon of the Bat population in Watansoppeng City and describe the benefits of research results from the Bat population phenomenon in Watansoppeng City to be used as a source for learning Ecosystem Biology. This research was conducted at the Environmental Service of Soppeng Regency and in Botto Village, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency. The informants of this research were 7 people, namely the Head of the Soppeng Regency Environmental Service, the Secretary of the Soppeng Regency Environmental Service and 5 people from the community. Determination of informants in this study using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation by using two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data comes from interviews and direct observations at the research site, while secondary data comes from literature review. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. Test the validity of the data used is triangulation. The results obtained are the phenomenon of the Bat population in Soppeng Regency which has existed for a long time due to several factors such as habitat suitability, adequate food sources, protected and preserved so that bats can live and be well preserved. Thus, the phenomenon of the Bat population as a characteristic of the city of Watansoppeng can be used as a source of learning ecosystem material biology.

Abstract

This research is motivated by teaching and learning activities which are mostly teacher-centered due to the selection of models and methods that are not appropriate with the material presented by the subject teacher, so that student learning outcomes are low, especially in biology subjects in class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang, Wajo Regency. This study aims to determine the improvement of biology learning outcomes through photographic media with a combination of the Sole learning model (Self Organized Learning Environments) for class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) involving repeated self-reflection, namely planning, implementing actions, observing/observing, and reflecting. This research was carried out in two cycles, where between cycle I and cycle II were a series of interrelated activities. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in March for students of class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang with a total of 20 students. The data collected are quantitative and qualitative data. The instruments used in this study were student activity observation sheets and learning outcomes test questions in the form of essay questions. The results showed that the application of the Sole learning model (Self Organized Learning Environments) could improve student learning outcomes in biology class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang. This is evidenced by the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle, which is 76.50%, increasing in the second cycle to 89.00%. While the number of students who reached the KKM in the first cycle was 8 people and increased in the second cycle to 20 people.Keywords: learning outcomes, SOLE learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the applicability, efficacy, and validity of Macca Biology Learning Media, which is based on Andromo Android Software, for environmental pollution content in Class VII SMP Negeri 3 Sengkang. The research methodology employed is research and development, also known as define, design, and development (3D model research and development). This study involved 32 students in class VII and was conducted during the even semester of the 2022–2023 academic year, which began in February–March 2023. The teacher and student practicality questionnaire, student learning outcomes, and validator results provided the research data. A % quantitative descriptive method was used to process the study's results. Macca Biology Learning Media received 90.5% from the media and material validators, 91.6% from the teacher's practical responses and 90.5% from the students' practical responses, and 96.8% of the students received a perfect score from the learning outcomes, according to the study's findings. The study's findings indicate that the Macca Biology Learning Media, which utilizes the Andromo Android platform, is a reliable, useful, and efficient resource for biology education.
