Abstract

UMKM adalah ujung tanduk dari perekonomian masyarakat. Masa pandemi Covid-19 yang sudah berlangsung lebih dari 1,5 tahun berdampak terhadap pelaku UMKM. Salah satu UMKM yang terdampak Covid-19 adalah Keripik Usus Mas Wied. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut maka Tim pengabdian masyarakat Progran Studi Teknik Industri melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di UKM Keripik Usus Mas Wied yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Bulu, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk (1) memberikan pendampingan penyusunan company profile mitra yang merupakanĀ  persyaratan wajib dalamĀ  pengajuan bantuan insentif Kemenparekraf (2) memberikan pendampingan dalam menyusun proposal bantuan insentif Kemenparekraf. Dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut telah dilakukan beberapa tahapan kegiatan sejak bulan Juni sampai dengan Juli 2021, yaitu dengan diselenggarakannya serangkaian kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan company profile serta penyusunan proposal bantuan Kemenparekraf. Dokumen- dokumen yang diperlukan dalam menyusun company profile dan dalam menyusun proposal semuanya dirinci dan dikumpulkan.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is very important. There are various types and levels of employment sectors in Indonesia, one of which is in the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector which is engaged in the welding service sector. Based on observations made at UMKM "Bintang Jaya Steel", there are many conditions that are quite dangerous to the K3 of workers, because workers carry out welding processes and other work, without using PPE. Some workers also show a lack of understanding regarding the use of PPE in the welding process. This is certainly contrary to the importance of implementing K3 in this type of work. This Community Service activity is carried out with the aim of solving existing problems with partners. So far the partners do not fully know the legal basis for OSH and all the PPE needed for welding work, especially in construction work. The service is carried out by providing socialization and procuring PPE for construction welding work at these MSMEs. The results of this activity can be in accordance with the plan. This is shown from the evaluation and discussion results, where supervisors as well as MSME owners and operators can apply the use of PPE in construction welding work.

Abstract

Digital technology, especially SolidWorks software and 3D printing, has brought significant changes to the modern manufacturing industry, increasing efficiency, productivity, and product quality. The problems faced by vocational school graduates are related to their lack of skills in operating the software. Community service activities aim to provide solutions, with direct training, to overcome the skills gap that arises due to the lack of facilities and competent teachers in the vocational school environment. Training methods include delivering material with practical exercises and using evaluations to measure participants' understanding. The main goal is to improve product design skills using SolidWorks and operating 3D printing machines. Based on the training carried out, it shows an increase in participants' knowledge regarding the operation of SolidWorks software and 3D printing. This can be seen from the increase in post-test scores of 6.34% compared to the pre-test. In addition, the participants' 3D printed parts showed better quality in terms of dimensional accuracy, visual surface roughness, and fewer defective parts compared to before the training.
