Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan strategi interpretasi makna jukugo yang tidak diketahui, serta faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi. Analisis penggunaan strategi dikaji menggunakan tiga teori yaitu teori kontekstual, mnemonic dengan rikusho, dan pembentukan jukugo. Faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi dikaji berdasarkan teori faktor pengaruh pemilihan strategi pembelajaran bahasa kedua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara melakukan wawancara dan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2018. Dari 47 responden didapatkan hasil bahwa kecenderungan strategi yang sering digunakan adalah strategi kontekstual, kemudian mnemonic dan metode pembentukan jukugo jarang digunakan. Diketahui faktor pemilihan strategi kontekstual yaitu pengetahuan kosakata, motivasi, gaya belajar kinestetik, kemampuan aptitude, dan kecerdasan linguistik. Faktor penyebab pemilihan strategi mnemonic yaitu kecerdasan spasial visual, gaya belajar visual, pengetahuan kosakata dan motivasi. Sementara Pengetahuan kosakata dan motivasi merupakan faktor penyebab pemilihan penggunaan strategi metode pembentukan jukugo.

Abstract

(Application of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Method in Japanese Language Learning in Senior High School This study aims to find out how the application and inhibiting factors of the HOTS method in learning Japanese at the high school level. The scope of this research is the planning and learning process in one of the KD (Basic Competency) Japanese XI grade at SMAN 6 Malang. The process of making an evaluation, and the evaluation process itself does not belong to the scope of this study. The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method using Classroom Research design. Data collection techniques used non-participant observation, documentation, and interviews. The data in this study were dialogues, monologues, and activities related to the application of the HOTS method in learning Japanese. The results of this study indicated that the learning used by teachers for the application of HOTS was following the Problem Based Learning model in which there were learning processes in analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). Inhibiting factors that arose in the process of applying the HOTS method consisted of teacher doubt in planning the learning tools, differences in the understanding of each teacher in interpreting HOTS-based teaching materials, limitations of instructional media that are compatible with learning materials, inadequate school facilities, and students who tend to be passive.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the effect, the learning process carried out by the teacher, and students' perceptions in the application of the drill method using quizizz to improve students' ability in memorizing hiragana letters. The researcher used the theory of drill method and discuss the steps while observing the learning process of hiragana. This research is pre-experimental research uses a quantitative approach method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected through tests, observations, closed-ended questionnaires, and documentation. In processing and analyzing the data, the researcher used the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 program to drawing a conclusion using descriptive statistics. The results show that the average score for the pretest was 58.8 and 83.6 for the posttest score. From the test results using Paired Sample t-test, t count is greater than t table (t count = 7,698 > t table = 2,026) with a significance value of 0.000. The conclusion is the drill method using Quizziz could significantly improve students' ability to memorize hiragana letters. How well the teacher applied the method also affects the results. In addition, based on the results of the questionnaire, the students show a good perception toward the use of drill method through Quizizz to improve their ability in memorizing hiragana letters. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the types of Japanese vocabulary learning strategies that are most often used by high school students. The analysis of the use of Japanese vocabulary learning strategies is studied using the theory of language learning strategies from Rebecca L. Oxford. The methods used in this research are qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are used to describe and analyze Japanese vocabulary learning strategies for high school students. The quantitative method is used to present data on the frequency of types of Japanese vocabulary learning strategies for high school students. The data sources in this study are batch 2020 of 11th-grade students BSBU SMA Negeri 6 Malang, while the data is obtained from the results of questionnaires filled out by students. The results of the analysis show that the Affective strategy is the type of strategy most often used by students to learn Japanese vocabulary with a percentage of 69.1%. Then the Cognitive strategy is the second most frequently used strategy by students with a percentage of 66.7%. The third strategy most often used by students is the Social strategy with a percentage of 63.6%. Then the Memory strategy is the fourth strategy, and the Metacognitive strategy is the fifth. While the compensation strategy is the strategy that is rarely used by students in learning Japanese vocabulary with a percentage of 47%.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan zaman, bermunculan teknologi yang memudahkan manusia di berbagai bidang. Salah satunya adalah di bidang penerjemahan, dengan munculnya mesin penerjemah otomatis. Kemunculan mesin penerjemah otomatis tersebut membuat kegiatan menerjemahkan menjadi semakin mudah dan praktis. Bing Translator sebagai salah satu mesin penerjemah otomatis memiliki kemampuan menerjemahkan teks bahasa Jepang ke bahasa Indonesia. Namun, kualitas mesin penerjemah ini masih diragukan. Karena itu dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut terkait kualitas terjemahan mesin penerjemah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk megidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan kualitas mesin penerjemah Bing Translator dengan menggunakan metode penilaian terjemahan Nababan yang meliputi: keakuratan, keberterimaan, dan keterbacaan. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis dokumen digunakan pada penelitian ini. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil analisis peneliti dan hasil validasi dari validator data. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan metode perbandingan tetap yang digagas oleh Glaser. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berita ekonomi memiliki tingkat keakuratan sedang, kurang berterima, dan keterbacaan sedang. Berita politik memiliki tingkat keakuratan sedang, tidak berterima dan keterbacaan rendah. Berita kesehatan memiliki tingkat keakuratan sedang, kurang berterima, dan keterbacaan rendah.

Abstract

AbstractIn the world of translation, translators can use a variety of strategies. One is the structural and semantic strategy. This research discusses the method of translation by using the structural and semantic strategy of Japanese folk literature translated by Antonius Pudjo. There are three basic strategies related to structural issues, namely addition, subtraction, and transposition. As for the semantic strategy there are 9 strategies: levy, cultural equivalent, descriptive equivalent and component analysis, synonym, official translation, depreciation and expansion, addition, deletion, and modulation. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Research data is the translation of the story "Donguri and Kucing Hitam" in which using the structural and semantic strategy in the process of translation. Technique of collecting data is using documentation technique of read-record. While the technique of data analysis is done by analyzing one by one each translation from source language, then analyzed whether using structural or semantic strategy, and classified by type. From the 14 sentences taken as data, it is known that on the structural strategy found transposition strategy 6 sentences, semantic strategy found semantic strategy of adding and synonyming each 5 sentences, deletion 4 sentences, modulation 2 sentence, and levy 1 sentences. Of the 7 sentences used as data in uncovering the implicit meaning contained in the folklore, it is known that there is 1 referential meaning, 2 meanings of linguistic context, and 4 situational meanings. Not too much data is obtained, because besides the source language has made the sentences clearly, chances are also the translator wants the reader to enjoy the literary works as the original form. Antonius translation is good and the language is accepted by target language. In terms of grammatical, there are not many changes made by the translator, and can be categorized as loyal to resource language but idiomatic and communicativeKey Words: structural strategies, semantic strategies, translating, Japanese children story

Abstract

This research aims to provide educational materials for Shokyu Hyoki 1 by utilizing augmented reality filters on Instagram. Utilizing the Sadiman paradigm for media creation. A structured questionnaire was utilized to gather data from 64 students in the class of 2023 enrolled in the Japanese Language Education program at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya. The utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) learning tools through Instagram filters was determined to be effective and beneficial for teaching Shokyu Hyoki 1 content. The student response questionnaire shows a high level of approval for the creation of educational materials utilizing augmented reality Instagram filters, scoring 79.5%. This indicates that the media is successful in improving student comprehension and enthusiasm.

Abstract

Netflix adalah layanan streaming film serta serial yang telah menjadi salah satu sarana belajar bahasa asing melalui fitur language reactor yang dapat memunculkan subtitle bahasa sumber serta bahasa sasaran secara bersamaan. Sebagai media belajar bahasa asing, Netflix perlu memiliki terjemahan subtitle yang akurat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat keakuratan serta tingkat keberterimaan subtitle serial Netflix Alice in Borderland dengan menggunakan teori penilaian kualitas terjemahan menurut Nababan (2012). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian analitis, serta metode simak dan catat untuk pengambilan data. Hasil penelitian mengenai tingkat keakuratan subtitle serial Netflix Alice in Borderland menunjukkan bahwa dari 159 data, terdapat 135 data yang diterjemahkan secara akurat dengan persentase 86%, 17 data yang diterjemahkan dengan kurang akurat dengan persentase 10%, dan 7 data yang diterjemahkan dengan tidak akurat dengan persentase 4%. Untuk tingkat keberterimaan subtitle serial Netflix Alice in Borderland, dari 159 data, terdapat 154 data yang diterjemahkan secara berterima dengan persentase 97%, 3 data yang diterjemahkan secara kurang berterima dengan persentase 2%, dan 2 data yang diterjemahkan secara tidak berterima dengan persentase 1%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa subtitle serial Netflix Alice in Borderland dinyatakan akurat dan berterima.
