Abstract

Pembangunan Bendungan Jlantah di Kabupaten Karanganyar selain sebagai sumber air irigasi juga menjadi ikon atau landmark kawasan yang diharapkan mampu membangkitkan destinasi wisata baru dan memicu pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Dengan selesainya pembangunan bendungan tersebut, masyarakat Desa Tlobo dan Desa Karangsari Kecamatan Jatiyoso Kabupaten Karanganyar yang tinggal di kawasan bendungan tersebut memiliki permasalahan baru, yakni kekurangsiapan mereka untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam menerima kunjungan wisatawan yang mulai berdatangan ke objek wisata tersebut meskipun pengoperasiannya belum diresmikan oleh Pemerintah. Dari hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Desa Tlobo dan Kepala Desa Karangsari diperoleh informasi bahwa masyarakat di kedua desa tersebut belum pernah mendapatkan penyuluhan tentang sadar wisata dan sapta pesona yang merupakan hal mendasar yang harus dipahami oleh setiap lapisan masyarakat yang dapat mendorong mereka untuk berperan aktif dalam melayani wisatawan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat di kedua desa tersebut agar memiliki kesadaran wisata dan pengetahuan sapta pesona sehingga siap untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam melayani wisatawan. Peserta penyuluhan sadar wisata dan sapta pesona adalah perwakilan masyarakat Desa Tlobo dan Desa Karangsari, yang meliputi perangkat desa, Karang Taruna, pemandu wisata, pelaku UMKM, petugas kebersihan, petugas keamanan, dan petugas parkir. Dengan metode ceramah dan pendekatan partisipatif serta pemberian pre-test dan post-test, hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta penyuluhan memiliki sikap sadar wisata dan mampu menerapkan sapta pesana sehingga lebih siap untuk terlibat aktif dalam melayani wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Bendungan Jlantah Kabupaten Karanganyar.        Kata kunci: sadar wisata, sapta pesona, masyarakat di kawasan Bendungan Jlantah   Abstract The construction of Jlantah Dam in Karanganyar Regency, apart from being a source of irrigation water, is also an icon or regional landmark which is expected to be able to generate new tourist destinations and trigger local economic growth. With the construction completion of the dam, the people of Tlobo and Karangsari Villages, Jatiyoso District, Karanganyar Regency who live in the dam area have a new problem, namely their lack of readiness to participate actively in receiving tourist visits who are starting to come to this tourist attraction even though its operation has not been opened by the Government. From the results of interviews with the Head of Tlobo Village and the Head of Karangsari Village, information was obtained that in these two villages they had never received counseling about Tourism Awareness and Seven Charms, which are basic things that must be understood by every level of society which can encourage them to play an active role in serving tourists. This community service activity was carried out to provide education to the community in the two villages so that they have Tourism Awareness and knowledge of Seven Charms so that they are ready to participate actively in serving tourists. Participants of Tourism Awareness outreach and Seven Charms are representatives of the Tlobo Village and Karangsari Village communities, including village officials, Youth Association, tourist guides, MSMEs, cleaners, security officers and parking attendants. By using lecture methods and a participatory approach as well as giving pre-test and post-test, the results of community service show that the majority of counseling participants have a Tourism Awareness attitude and are able to apply Seven Charms so that they are better prepared to be involved actively in serving tourists visiting the Jlantah Dam of Karanganyar Regency.          Keywords: tourism awareness, seven charms, people live in the Jlantah Dam area

Abstract

The traditional wedding practices of the Ngaju Dayak still hold a strong position in the social life of the people of Antang Kalang District, including among the Muslim community. This condition presents normative issues related to the relationship between customary law and Islamic law, particularly in the context of the conformity of customary practices with sharia principles. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the forms of harmonization carried out by the Antang Kalang Muslim community in carrying out the traditional wedding customs of the Ngaju Dayak. This study uses a qualitative method with a sociological and legal anthropological approach. Data collection techniques include direct observation of traditional wedding practices and documentation studies of traditional documents used in their implementation. Data processing is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data analysis is conducted thematically and normative-contextually. The results of the study indicate that the Muslim community of Antang Kalang has not abandoned the traditional wedding customs of the Ngaju Dayak, but rather has made adjustments through a process of selection, adaptation, and reinterpretation of traditional elements. The marriage contract is placed as the core and determinant of the validity of the marriage according to Islamic law, while the traditional wedding is carried out as a complement to social and cultural matters. This harmonization is also reflected in the use of customary marriage agreements which function as instruments of social regulation without taking over the normative authority of Islamic law.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of technical personnel management in handling main engine failures during extreme weather conditions at sea. The main focus of this study is to assess the extent to which technical competence, communication, coordination, and preparedness of technical personnel contribute to the effectiveness of damage management. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection through a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale. A total of 100 respondents who are ship engineering officers currently studying at a maritime campus were sampled. The results of the analysis show that the four independent variables (technical competence, communication, coordination, and preparedness) simultaneously have a significant effect on the effectiveness of handling main engine failures. From the results of the multiple linear regression test, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.897 indicates that 89.7% of the variation in damage management effectiveness can be explained by these four variables. This finding indicates that good technical personnel management plays a significant role in reducing the risk of engine system failure during extreme weather.
