Abstract

The alternative energy such as battery as power source is required as energy source failures. The other need is outdoor lighting. The electrical power source is expected to be a power saving, optimum and has long life operating. The Joule-Thief circuit is one of solution method for energy saving by using raised electromagnetic force on cored coil when there is back-current. This circuit has a transistor operated as a switch to cut voltage and current flowing along the coils. The present of current causing magnetic induction and generates energy. Experimental prototype was designed by using battery 1.5V to activate Light Emitting Diode or LED as load. The LED was connected in parallel or serial circuit configuration. The result show that the joule-thief circuit able to supply LED circuits up to 40 LEDs.

Abstract

Motor has an important role in everyday life. Both are used on a home scale and in the industrial world. To regulate a motor, a good control system is needed. Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench abbreviated as LabVIEW is defined as a system engineering software that is used for the needs of testing, measuring, and controlling quickly on accessing hardware in which there is data needed. LabVIEW uses a graphics-based programming language or block diagram while other programming languages use a text base. This study aims to obtain a value of DC motor control. The method used in this research is to assemble the DC motor hardware with the driver followed by connecting it to a myRIO 1900 board controller. By providing variations in frequency and duty cycle, the results of current and voltage and rotation are obtained to determine its effect. The results of this study indicate that by giving a duty cycle of more than 50%, current and voltage are obtained and the motor rotation is linear and forms a horizontal line. The 100 Hz frequency is the best frequency that can produce the highest motor rotation.

Abstract

The need for information through a monitoring system on BTS tower equipment is very necessary, including monitoring lightning strike protection. To find out whether there is a strike on the BTS, usually, technicians have to come to the BTS location to see the impact of the strike in the form of damage to the arrester, or other damage and even seek information from residents around the BTS location. The location of the BTS location is far from the head office, of course this is not effective.This research is the development of a counter lighting system designed to monitor and detect lightning strikes from a distance. By using Arduino Uno, ethernet shield, current sensor and android smart phone. The information displayed on the android smart phone is the location of the BTS tower, the time and magnitude of the strike current. The lighting protection monitoring tool based on android operation using the PZEM-004T module is a system designed and utilized to read the presence of lightning strikes which include the current flowing in the BTS tower grounding system.The test results show that the lighting protection monitoring tool using the PZEM-004T module can measure and display the current value and when a strike occurs, in real time and stored in the database. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the results of the design of the lighting protection monitoring tool have a deviation (error) of 9,64% and a current of 12,5%.

Abstract

This study aims to find the best artificial neural network weight values to be applied to the autonomous vehicle system with ultrasonic multisensor. The implementation of neural network in the system required long time process due to its training process. Therefore, this research is using offline training before implementing to online training by embedding the best network weight values to obtain the outputs faster according to desired targets. Simulink were used to train the system offline. Eight ultrasonic sensors are used on all sides of the vehicle and arranged in a serial multisensory configuration as inputs of neural network. With eight inputs, one sixteen-depth hidden layer, and five outputs, it was trained using the back-propagation algorithm of artificial neural network. By 100000 iterations, the output values and the target values are almost the same, indicating its convergency with minimum of errors. The result of this training is the best weights of the networks. These weight values can be implemented as fixed-weight in online training.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Manggihan yang rata-rata bermatapencaharian sebagai peternak sapi dan petani kebun/sayuran, telah memiliki tingkat pengetahuan teknologi yang cukup lumayan, meskipun belum banyak yang mengenyam pendidikan hingga jenjang perguruan tinggi. Ini dibuktikan telah banyak masyarakat yang memanfaatkan ponsel atau smartphone sebagai alat komunikasi sehari-hari, meskipun sebatas untuk telepon, sms, bermain games maupun berkomunikasi melalui media sosial. Terutama generasi mudanya yang sudah mulai terbiasa dengan berbagi fitur yang ada di smartphone mereka. Meskipun begitu masih banyak fitur smartphone yang belum termanfaatkan secara optimal. Terlebih fitur dan aplikasi smartphone yang dapat mengendalikan perangkat lain yang berupa non-ponsel, masyarakat masih sangat minim mengetahui tentang itu. Peningkatan literasi digital melalui pelatihan penggunaan perangkat jam digital masjid berbasis Android yang berlokasi di Masjid Al-Huda Dusun Pendem dan Masjid Al-Ikhlas Dusun Seturun Desa Manggihan Kecamatan Getasan Kabupaten Semarang ini, masyarakat dapat memperoleh informasi teknologi tentang: fitur-fitur smartphone Android berikut pemanfatannya dan cara pengoperasian prangkat jam digital masjid berbasis Android. Pengenalan dan pelatihan dapat berjalan secara sangat baik karena didukung oleh berbagai faktor, antara lain: peserta pelatihan yang sudah dapat mengoperasikan Android, sinyal operator yang memadai, metode pelatihan langsung, kelengkapan modul dan video tutorial, kerjasama dan kolaborasi tim tutor dengan peserta pelatihan, serta penyerahan perangkat jam digital masjid sehingga dapat langsung dimanfaatkaan.The people of Manggihan Village, whose average livelihood is as cattle breeders and garden/vegetable farmers, already have a fairly decent level of technological knowledge, although not many have received education up to university level. It has been proven by many people who use cellphones or smartphones as a means of daily communication, even though it is limited to calling, texting, playing games or communicating through social media. Especially the younger generation who are getting used to sharing the features on their smartphones. Even so, there are still many smartphone features that have not been utilized optimally. Moreover, smartphone features and applications that can control other non-mobile devices, people still have very little knowledge about it. Increasing digital literacy through training in the use of Android-based digital clock devices of mosque located at the Al-Huda Mosque in Pendem Hamlet and Al-Ikhlas Mosque in Seturun Hamlet, Manggihan Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency, the public can obtain technological information about Android smartphone features and their utilities, and how to operate an android-based mosque digital clock device. The introduction and training were done very well because it is supported by various factors, including trainees who can already operate Android, adequate operator signals, direct training methods, completeness of modules and video tutorials, collaboration of tutor teams with training participants, and submission of the mosque's digital clock so that it can be used immediately.

Abstract

Dunia industri saat ini tidak dapat lagi dipisahkan dengan masalah otomasi untuk berbagai sarana produksi. Salah satu industri yang sangat membantu dan dapat dikembangkan adalah industri  pengisi dan penutup botol otomatis. Dimana untuk pengendalian pada prosesnya menggunakan PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Penggunaan peralatan kontrol seperti ini akan menjadikan suatu otomasi produksi menjadi mudah dengan waktu yang cepat dan dapat mengurangi penggunaan tenaga manusia sehingga human error pun tidak akan terjadi. Dalam tugas akhir ini  dibuat suatu sistem pengisian dan penutup botol otomatis berdasarkan tinggi botol berbasis PLC dengan memanfaatkan sistem pneumatik sebagai alat pemberi tutup botol, sensor photoelektrik sebagai sensor ketinggian botol yang berbeda dan sensor proximity sebagai sensor transfer untuk proses pengepakan serta menggunakan sebuah konveyor sebagai sarana transfortasi botol. Pemograman dilakukan dengan software CX-Programmer.  Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa sistem pengisian dan penutup botol dapat membedakan tinggi botol yang berbeda dalam satu konveyor. Dalam proses pengisian botol 600ml memerlukan waktu  selama 250 detik dan proses pengisian botol 330ml memerlukan waktu selama 150 detik. Pengujian sistem untuk botol 600ml menghasilkan peresentase keberhasilan 100% dan pengujian sistem untuk botol 330ml menghasilkan peresentase keberhasilan 80%.

Abstract

In general, blood glucose level test is conducted using urine and glucometer test by pricking the fingertips of the patients using needle. TGS 822 and MQ 138 gas sensor systems can be used to detect Acetone and Alcohol compounds from the oral cavities of a person which are correlated with blood glucose levels in the body. This study used MQ 138 and TGS 822 gas sensors to detect acetone levels, which were classified using backpropagation artificial neural network. The training with 60 samples and testing on 7 respondents indicates that TGS 822 and MQ 138 gas sensor could detect the blood glucose level with average detection accuracy of 96,53% by considering the temperature and humidity.  The average deviation is 3,47 % compared to glucometer. Keywords: Gas sensor, respiratory gas, blood glucose level, Backpropagation Tes kadar gula darah pada umumnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes urin dan glukometer dengan menusuk ujung jari pasien menggunakan jarum. Sistem sensor gas TGS 822 dan MQ 138 dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi senyawa Aseton dan Alkohol dari rongga mulut seseorang yang berkorelasi dengan kadar gula darah dalam tubuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan sensor gas MQ 138 dan TGS 822 untuk mendeteksi kadar aseton, yang diklasifikasikan menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan backpropagation. Pelatihan dengan menggunakan 60 sampel dan pengujian pada 7 responden menunjukkan bahwa sensor gas TGS 822 dan MQ 138 mampu mendeteksi kadar gula darah dengan akurasi deteksi rata-rata 96,53% dengan memperhatikan suhu dan kelembaban. Deviasi rata-rata 3,47 % dibandingkan dengan glukometer.Kata kunci: Sensor gas, gas pernafasan, kadar glukosa darah, Backpropagation.

Abstract

Setting the speed of infusion drops in a manual manner is by adjusting the clamp on the infusion set, where the nurse must count the number of infusion drops in the chamber at the same time as looking at the time on the watch. This makes the setting is subjective and cannot be shown with numbers. In addition, nurses cannot monitor the infusion rate continuously. Therefore, it is necessary to enhancement the accuracy of giving infusion drops so that they can be objective and can be shown with numbers and monitor continuously. This enhancement in accuracy is done by making a instrument with an optocoupler to detect infusion drops. For processing uses an arduino microcontroller to be the speed and the volume of infusion and detects changes in the rate of infusion drops significantly. And for the display uses a OLED display and a buzzer as an indicator. The results of this instrument, it can be seen that the optocoupler can detect infusion drops in the infusion set properly. This good sensor reading has implications for accurate readings of the infusion drop rate and infusion drop volume. This enhancement in accuracy is not only for the macro drip (20 drops/cc) but also for the micro drip (60 drops/cc). The accuracy of volume readings ranges from 95-99% for the macro drip and 94.5-97% with the micro drip. And for speed accuracy ranges from 92.37-98.46%. Based from the results of this test, enhancement the accuracy of the infusion drip dose administration can be done by making a patient infusion drip dose calculator. This equipment uses an optocoupler sensor, arduino microcontroller, OLED display and buzzer. With the use of this instrument, nurses can be more accurate in regulating the rate of infusion drops given to patients and can monitor it continuously if there is a significant change in infusion rate.

Abstract

Instalasi sound system pada sebuah musala atau masjid sudah menjadi sarana yang sangat penting yang tidak bisa ditinggalkan dalam menunjang kegiatan ibadah. Kualitas tata suara yang baik pada sebuah masjid atau musala akan berpengaruh pada kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di musala atau masjid, baik yang rutin seperti panggilan sholat wajib berjama’ah ataupun kegiatan lain seperti ceramah, pengajian dan lain-lain. Musala Al-Jamil saat ini telah memiliki perangkat sound system, akan tetapi perangkat yang ada memiliki kualitas tata suara yang kurang baik yang menyebabkan banyak jamaah kurang jelas dalam mendengarkan suara adzan yang dikumandangkan melalui speaker yang terpasang di tiang bagian luar musala. Perangkat speaker yang ada belum dapat optimal menjangkau jama’ah yang berada di area sekitar musala karena faktor jarak dan banyaknya bangunan tingkat di sekitar musala. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa pendampingan dalam pengadaan dan pemasangan pearangkat sound system serta pengaturan kualitas tata suara di musala Al-Jamil yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Pedurungan Tengah kecamatan Pedurungan Kota Semarang dengan melakukan revitalisasi instalasi sound system musala. Langkah yang dilakukan adalah melakukan observasi awal untuk mendapatkan data kualitas tata suara serta inventarisasi perangkat audio yang ada untuk dikaji apakah masih bisa digunakan atau tida serta survei lokasi musala berkaitan dengan jarak musala dengan area pemukiman di wilayah RW XII yang mengeluhkan tidak dapat mendengarkan suara adzan dari speaker musala dengan jelas. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa perangkat amplifier, mixer dan perangkat mikrofon di bagian dalam musala dalam kondisi yang cukup baik. Kebutuhan revitalisasi instalasi sound system dibutuhkan pada perangkat sound system di bagian luar, sehingga dibutuhkan pengadaan dan pemasangan perangkat pengeras suara dengan melakukan penentuan spesifikasi dan penempatan speaker yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa peningkatan tata suara melalui revitalisasi instalasi sound system ini direalisasikan dengan memasang tiga  perangkat speaker dan dua set perangkat pengatur audio pada dua titik lokasi yang dapat memperbaiki kualitas suara dari sebelumnya yang kurang jelas menjadi lebih jelas. Luaran yang diharapkan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah adanya infrastruktur sound system dengan kualitas tata suara yang  lebih baik, sebagai impementasi teknologi tepat guna.

Abstract

Yayasan Pusat Kajian dan Pengembangan Islam (YPKPI) Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Central Java is a foundation that manages several units of school institutions and mosques. Foundation finance is the field with the most complex work. The principles of transparency and accountability in financial reporting are necessary, so a system is needed that can help manage the foundation's finances correctly and according to accounting rules. The Foundation's Financial System development cannot run properly if it is not followed up with mentoring and training activities on the operation of system applications. Therefore, the Training of Trainers (ToT) for the foundation's administrative staff becomes a realistic activity to do. ToT activities are carried out with two models: scheduled and unscheduled ToT. These two methods are carried out to deal with human resource constraints (SDI) for financial administration staff who do not have an educational background or expertise in accounting/financial administration. With this ToT activity, the administrative staff of YPKPI Baiturahman Grand Mosque can manage the financial administration of the foundation and provide financial reports under accounting rules in a transparent and accountable manner
