Abstract

Alumni are an important asset for universities that must be embraced and developed. Alumni can provide a various constructive inputs to universities and are expected to be able to develop networks outside the agency and improve the good image of the almamater to the community. A college should provide a forum that can provide data of alumni for evaluating educational outcomes and improving quality to prepare accreditation assessment. An alumni application system that is able to recap all of alumni data and other data needed will certainly improve the accreditation assessment results. Based on these problems, we need an alumni application that can solve the problems effectively and efficiently. In this study a web-based alumni application was designed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method based on the points of the diploma study program accreditation assessment points by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). The final product of this research is the design application of information technology’s alumni at Politeknik Negeri Padang. Based on the results of the testing design, this application is effectively used to manage alumni data and match with the alumni data management standards contained in the evaluation standard of the diploma accreditation chapter evaluation of graduates.

Abstract

LPG cylinder leakage is one of the causes of fires in the community. To prevent fires, a fire and gas leak detection and monitoring device were made using a fire detector sensor and an Android-based MQ-6 to trigger it. Data collection techniques in the manufacture of gas and fire leak detection using a flame detector and the MQ-6 sensor can be obtained from datasheets, journals, books and articles, and several internet sites that support the manufacture of this device. In the manufacture of gas leak detection devices or tools, there are also two parts, namely the first to make hardware (hardware), then software (software). The result of this tool detection is that users can find out the level of LPG due to leaking of LPG cylinders and detect fire using Android notifications in real-time and the data is displayed in detail on the browser page. The conclusion of this study is that users are safer because there is a gas leak, the tool will detect LPG gas, then a message will be displayed on the LCD screen and a notification on Android and the buzzer will automatically turn on. If there is a fire from detecting the gas leak, the fire detector will detect the fire, which will result in a notification sent to Android that there is a fire and the buzzer will turn on

Abstract

Pencatatan keuangan di Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSP) Astek masih menggunakan buku. Ada beberapa buku yang digunakan, pertama buku yang langsung di tulis ketika pertemuan bulanan dan buku yang di tulis rapi sebagai catatan ulang keuangan. Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini untuk memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan microsoft excel dalam pencatatan keuangan koperasi yang ada di kota Padang. Koperasi yang dimaksud adalah KSP Astek. Bentuk metoda pelatihan yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu: 1. Pelatihan penggunaan Microsoft Excel, 2. Pelatihan pencatatan keuangan koperasi, 3. Pelatihan administrasi dan 4. Pendampingan. Semua metode ini merupakan satu kesatuan dari program ini. Target yang dicapai pada kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan yang cukup bagi pengurus dan anggota koperasi tentang manajemen keuangan koperasi.

Abstract

There are several Social Assistance (BANSOS) distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to each village, one of which is the Family Hope Program (PKH) social assistance which is a program of providing conditional social assistance to poor families (KM) designated as PKH recipient households. So far, for checkingthe data of proposing aid, the social service staff still uses the manual method so it takes a long time, but in this study the author created a system that will later assist the process of managing data for PKH beneficiaries so that results will be faster and more accurate. which makes the provision of PKH assistance more targeted.The methodthat will be used in the decision support system for receiving social assistance this time is the Multi Attribute Utility Theory method, and the data collection technique is literature study and observation.The results to be obtained are in the form of recommendations for decision making regarding the determination of PKH assistance.

Abstract

Nagari is a region that has a very important role to encourage its people to innovate both in the economic and technological fields. Technology is available to facilitate various activities in daily life. Nagari is expected to be able to use technology to assist the community in managing information and data in the Nagari. Management and processing of data related to public services in a Nagari are very important. The data is valid information that must be updated regularly. Nagari Pakandangan is located in the Nagari Pakandangan, Enam Linkuang sub-district, Padang Pariaman district, West Sumatra province. In order to improve the quality of human resources in Nagari Pakandangan, a website-based information system was built that can accommodate data or information from the community in Nagari Pakandangan. This activity is carried out in three stages: a) identification of the problem which is carried out as a first step to determine the formulation of the problem that will be useful as a material for the design of the Nagari information system, b) the design of the Nagari information system, c) the development of the Nagari information system.

Abstract

KSP Astek is a conventional-based savings and loan cooperative founded by a community association in Astek housing, Padang City, West Sumatra in 1991. Sharia Cooperative Training as community service, providing new enlightenment and trust for KSP Astek members in developing their business through Sharia-based cooperatives. With an adult or participatory training approach, participants gain further understanding and enthusiasm about Sharia Cooperatives. Sharia Cooperatives are cooperatives whose principal activities, objectives, and business activities are based on Islamic sharia, namely the Qur'an and Sunnah. Sharia Financial Services Cooperative is a cooperative whose business activities are in the fields of financing, investment, and savings according to the pattern of profit sharing (sharia). This community service activity provides knowledge about sharia cooperatives to members of KSP Astek. The sharia cooperative was chosen by KSP Astek because it is more in line with belief and in principle, it is more suitable during the pandemic because of the profit-sharing system that is applied. This community service activity was carried out in May 2022. The material provided included the introduction of sharia cooperatives, the basis of sharia cooperatives, the objectives of sharia cooperatives, the principles of sharia cooperatives, sharia cooperative businesses, the history of sharia cooperatives, the sharia financial system, and the underlying principles. Islamic financial system, and characteristics of Islamic transactions.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan terhadap seseorang muslim yang meninggal dunia, merupakan problema tersendiri di kalangan masyarakat. Permasalahannya terletak pada penyelenggara jenazah tersebut. Sebagian besar masyarakat menyerahkan tugas menyelenggarakan jenazah kepada orang-orang tertentu, dan biasanya orang-orang yang dianggap “pintar” atau ustadz / kiayi. Bagi masyarakat umum pekerjaan menyelenggarakan jenazah merupakan pekerjaan yang menakutkan, dan pekerjaan yang paling menakutkan terutama memandikan jenazah. Pengabdian ini memberikan solusi yaitu dengan mengadakan pelatihan penyelenggaraan jenazah sesuai dengan syariat Islam pada Ibu-ibu Majelis Taklim Astek. Adapun target luaran yang ingin dicapai adalah Ibu-ibu Majelis Taklim memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penyelenggaraan jenazah sesuai dengan syariat Islam. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melaksanakan seluruh rangkain proses penyelenggaraan jenazah, dan juga menyesuaikan dengan kearifan lokal (adat). Dimana kita ketahui bahwa Minangkabau dikenal dengan adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah. Oleh itu, kegiatan ini perlu didanai karena merupakan kegiatan pelatihan ilmu agama yang sangat bermanfaat bagi kemaslahatan masyarakat.

Abstract

The cosmetics industry necessitates efficient inventory management to balance customer demand with stock control. This case study explores how Liza Cosmetics Shop optimized inventory for Lip Cream Implora 01, a popular product, using data-driven forecasting techniques. Traditional trend-based methods often resulted in inaccurate forecasts. This study proposed implementing the SDLC Waterfall Model to apply two forecasting techniques: Least Squares and Double Moving Average. Historical sales data (April 2021 - June 2022) was analyzed to identify demand patterns, seasonality, and trends. The Least Squares method was chosen for its suitability in capturing stable, linear relationships between sales and time, while the Double Moving Average method catered to data exhibiting both long-term trends and short-term fluctuations. Rigorous testing using white-box and black-box methods ensured the accurate functionality and system behavior of the implemented models. The Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) determined the method best suited for predicting July 2022 demand. This case study contributes insights into data-driven inventory management in cosmetics, highlighting benefits such as optimized stock levels, reduced costs, and enhanced customer satisfaction through improved demand fulfillment. This studys’ limitations including unforeseen marketing campaigns and economic fluctuations impacting forecasts were acknowledged. Despite these challenges, the study emphasizes the potential of data-driven techniques to optimize inventory management and meet customer demands effectively.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, smartphones have become a means of learning for all students in Indonesia, including high school students. Students use smartphones to send assignments, learn via video calls, and conduct online exams. The prolonged use of smartphones, from the beginning of learning hours in the morning to study hours in the evening, has a terrible impact on the ear health of high school students in Padang. Excessive smartphone use caused a decrease in the student's hearing function. Therefore, this study aims to group the audiometry results of high school students in Padang who have a hearing loss function. The audiogram result is only performed as the result of a frequency test of the subject's hearing in both the left and right ear. Conventionally, an otolaryngologist concluded the final decision of hearing loss ability. This research proposed an automatic classification of audiometry results using machine learning methods. The K-Medoids clustering was selected to classify the audiometry data in this research. Of 210 audiometry data, 91 data is confirmed by an otolaryngologist as valid data. By using the K-Medoids clustering, 93 data is classified into Normal hearing, Mild Hearing loss, and Moderate Hearing loss. The proposed model successfully grouped the audiometry data into three categories. The confusion matrix is applied to measure the model performance, which has 28,3% accuracy, 64,3% precision, and 21,4% recall.

Abstract

Students of the Software Engineering Technology Study Program, Department of Information Technology, Politeknik Negeri Padang, is required to compile a final project to complete their study period. In the implementation of the final project, several parties have involved such as the KBK team whose job is to check whether the proposed title is appropriate or not. The main issue undertaken by KBK is whether the title submitted has been used or not. The method used by KBK in checking the availability of titles was by looking at the titles of the final projects that have been submitted by previous students. The examination process carried out by the KBK, it took a long time. By utilizing the Cosine Similarity algorithm and TF-IDF, it is expected that it will make it easier for KBK to check the availability of final project titles. Cosine similarity is a method used to calculate the degree of similarity between 2 or more documents. While the TF-IDF Algorithm is a method used to weight a word in a document. The object of testing in this study was the title of the student’s final project. The process of calculating the level of similarity of documents started from the preprocessing stage, then proceeds with weighting using TF-IDF and calculating the level of similarity used the Cosine Similarity algorithm. The final result found that system could calculate the degree of similarity of the title of the student’s final project. From the results of testing the process of calculating the degree of similarity of titles using the cosine similarity algorithm can be undertaken quickly.
