Abstract

In the amid of the educational institutions growth, there is strict competition with the various advantages offered, schools that still want to exist in the fields should have an effective marketing strategy to recrut learners as a key component in the education system. Many marketing strategies are avaiable, part of it is promotion. In the promotion there is a Word of mouth Marketing model. Researchers assumed that this promotion model was more effective and efficient when it gained the support of alumni roles as a school product that had strong ties with his almamater. The quality of the alumni is a reflection of the quality of the institution hence to influence the community in choosing a quality school. What differs from other research is the author elevating the important role of alumni in school marketing. The purpose of this research is to describe the important role of alumni for schools and the role of alumni in improving school marketing. Data was taken from literature, alumni interviews related to alumni and observation roles. The results of the study showed the strategic and potential of the alumni role should be recognized and utilized for school development. The role of alumni include: Develop extracurricular activities, build opinions on the quality of the school in the community, build networks outside of the school, become motivators and Inspirators for the sister of her class, become a companion of learning, supporting activities organized by the school, and the evaluation media for the school curriculum. The role of alumni in improving school marketing is very high. This is because the perception of schools developing in the community as consumers are influenced by the quality of alumni as a school product, the quality of alumni supports the promotion of schools in the community as well as information about schools obtained directly through alumni.

Abstract

The most fundamental problem in education in Indonesia is the quality that has not exceeded the desired standards, including education staff, facilities, funding, management, processes and student achievement. Referring to the citation of the problem of financing which comes from the diversity of the current state of educational institutions, it raises the idea that it is very easy to build an organization that is based on profit or non-profit, but in the process, an organization should have to survive in the face of its environmental conditions. If you are able to adapt to the environment, so that the organization will survive, otherwise if not, ultimately only a name. Of course it's very easy to solve this problem. Another problem is the lack of funds, this problem is a fundamental reason that impedes the goals of an organization. The need for preventive measures in the procurement of funds is to build business units that generate profits for the establishment of an independent institution. The research in this article was conducted at Islamic education institutions, especially at Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo High School, which aims to have educational institutions that have the right management in managing their business units, so that they receive income that can support the independence of educational institutions. The Business Unit to be investigated is specialized in leasing several business units owned by the Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo High School. In this article, research conducted using a qualitative approach, the culminative approach is an approach that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people and observed behavior. The results of this study indicate that of the total business unit revenue only 17% is used for operational purposes, and 83% is left to the Sidoarjo SMAMDA educational institution. Thus it can be concluded that the entrepreneurship owned by Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo High School in the form of several business units, with good management so as to provide income to the institution, this has helped Muhammadiyah High Schools to become independent educational institutions.

Abstract

In order to create high quality educational institutions that be able to compete with other educational institutions and increase consumer interest in choosing these institutions, the proper marketing strategy is needed, for example marketing mix. The purpose of this study is to describe how marketing mix strategy increase consumer interest in choosing educational institutions. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study research approach. The results of this study are the marketing mix strategy in Sidoarjo SMAMDA consisting of 7P, namely (1) Product, the products offered to consumers are adjusted in the school's vision, namely Islamic, Excellent, and Synergy with boarding school and regular programs; (2) Price (cost), the amount of costs adjusted to the operational costs of the school. The school also provides scholarships for tuition fees and achievements; (3) Place (location), the location of the school is very strategic because it is easy to reach and access both private vehicles and public transportation; (4) Promotion, school promotion activities through social media, online news, magazines, banners, brochures, socialization in junior high schools, and developing a network of partnerships with several schools and universities in Thailand; (5) Human Resources, educational activities are supported by teachers and education staff that corrsponding with their competencies and qualifications; (6) Pshycal evidence, schools have complete, good, and well-maintained facilities and satisfied all of their students' needs; (7) Process, the learning process applies a holistic education model and satisfied the National Education Standards.

Abstract

Islamic boarding school is the oldest educational institution by the nation that participated in creating literate society. In the midst of this globalization era, Islamic boarding schools maintain both classical and modern education and teaching systems. In educational institutions need to pay attention to the quality management of education in order to improve and develop educational institutions for the future. The reality that we get in guaranteeing the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools is that there are many obstacles that must be resolved. With this the author intends to examine several management systems or quality management based on Islamic boarding schools. This study used qualitative research methods. This research is specifically directed towards descriptive qualitative research design. Trying to solve the problem based on the data concerned with the concept of quality management based on Islamic boarding school. The concept that has been prepared in the management of education quality in Islamic boarding schools is oriented to improving the quality of education by referring to the values ​​of Islamic boarding schools / Islamic society that have been entrenched among Indonesian people, by using tools, techniques and philosophies to create quality education in order to achieve educational goals.

Abstract

This study has a background problem where teacher performance is declining, this is characterized by Distrust and teacher disloyality, many empty hours and teacher enthusiasm in teaching is decreasing. School leaders try to provide teacher welfare in the hope that teacher performance will increase. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between teacher welfare with teacher performance. This research uses a quantitative approach using a questionnaire as the primary data. The population in this study were 55 teachers in SMA Muhamadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression test, the hypothesis test uses the t test which was previously tested with the validity and reliability test and is evaluated with the assumption test. The results of this study produce that welfare affects the performance of teachers so that the better the welfare of teachers in schools, the enthusiasm of teachers in teaching and activities at school increases. Of course this also needs to be done monitoring of teaching teachers so that the welfare provided by schools can take place effectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the important role of finance in optimizing laboratory facilities. The research is using a qualitative-descriptive study with interview methods and triangulation techniques. Interviews were conducted with the Principal, Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Deputy Principal for Facilities and Infrastructure, and Treasurer of educational institutions. The results of this activity illustrate that the development of funding for educational institutions is expected to increase the ability of students in learning. One of them is the development of laboratory facilities.

Abstract

The development of educational institutions especially Muhammadiyah has increased quite rapidly. The increase in educational institutions must be balanced by the high loyalty of educators in the institution. So to become educators who are loyal to the institution required subjective welfare for educators who are in the institution. This study aims to understand teacher quality improvement through subjective well-being to maintain loyalty to educational institutions. In this study using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach with four subjects. Data collection is done by interviews and field notes. This research shows that all four subjects have good gratitude with their profession and enjoy their profession as an educator. Work motivation has an effect on individual job satisfaction. The subjective well-being of the four subjects is influenced by the way he views his profession. The subject sees the teacher as a noble, proud, pleasing, and blessing service. Patience, high gratitude, and social support also help the four subjects in reducing negative emotions so that it is easier to achieve satisfaction in their daily lives and work. So that when the subject has subjective well-being or good or high subjective well-being, the level of loyalty to the educational institution will be good and high.

Abstract

In Islamic education, the granting of punishment and reward is permitted based on the Quran and Sunnah by maintaining aspects of tarbiyah. This study aims to discuss how effective the application of reward and punishment systems in motivating someone's performance in general, be it students, employees. And as a religious individual, especially for those who are Muslim, how does the effect of implementing this reward and punishment system increase faith and good deeds or avoid evil. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include library research, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, and data verification. The results showed that the forms of rewards given included rewarding someone who excelled in an action, were able to improve the person's performance motivation in the future and could motivate others to do the same good.On the other hand, punishment is also important to apply including giving advice and guidance, showing a sour face, giving a hard rebuke, and giving additional tasks, such as memorizing the surah or short verses from the Quran or hadith, is also able to prevent someone from doing negative things and try not to repeat negative things in the future.

Abstract

The Wafa method is the development of the al-Qur'an education system to instill a love for the al-Qur'an to be more comprehensive. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Wafa Method planning in learning the Koran; to analyze the superiority of the Wafa Method in learning the Koran; and to analyze the impact of the Wafa Method on the ability to read and write the Qur'an. In this study using a qualitative approach, this type of research uses a multi-case study design. Data collection techniques by interview, participation observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data, it is carried out by means of continuous observation, data triangulation methods, checking the results of peer discussions, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the design of learning methods using Wafa method is based on the complexity of learning objectives; the value of effectiveness and efficiency and conformity to the conditions and characteristics of students; 2) the application of the Wafa Method uses the strategies and management of students in a variety of classes so that the teaching of the Qur'an is not monotonous; 3) this method has an impact in making it easier for students to memorize the letters and the reading of the Koran each student is good, but there are some things that have a difficulty such as speaking of buzzing, pressure and Jahr letters. The ability to write single hijaiyah letters and continued is good in the correct writing environment.

Abstract
