Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the history of the forest and its potential as a learning material for disaster mitigation education. The research method uses a qualitative approach. The research time was in June–September 2021 on the grounds that it coincided with the cycle of people cultivating agricultural land. Sources of research data consisted of key informants, namely elders and community leaders of the Dayak Gado and documents in the form of letters, archives both regional and national, as well as documentation (photos) and recordings. Researchers made observations in several forests and conducted Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with traditional leaders, school principals and several Dayak community assistance institutions. The validation technique uses triangulation techniques from traditional institutions, community leaders (elders), and the Village Government. While the analysis technique uses the flow developed by Miles Huberman, namely the interactive flow which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification/getting conclusions. The results show that the existence of forests in West Kalimantan is a former village or field of the Dayak community which has one of the functions of plant and animal conservation. Forests, in this case tembawang in the Dayak community, can prevent hydrological disasters such as floods. Environmental history of forests can be used as learning materials for disaster mitigation education. Implementation in history subjects in schools requires 3 pillars, namely teachers, learning strategies and supporting aspects. Teachers are very important in an effort to give students understanding about the knowledge of forest history as disaster mitigation education. The success of disaster mitigation education lies in the ability of teachers to master environmental history and provide students with an understanding of the importance of awareness of tradition and history, awareness of position and awareness of action in students.

Abstract

The people of West Kalimantan make nature a buffer for the economy. The Gado Dayak community is one of the people who make nature be it forests, rivers, and fields as the fulfillment of life. Friendly nature management needs to be passed on to the younger generation through environmental-based history learning. This study aims to determine (1) the history of the Daya Gado Community in Landak Regency (2) Culture of the Gado Dayak Community (3) The historical potential of the Gado Dayak as a source of environmental-based history learning. The research method used is historical research which includes heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the study explain that the history of the Dayak Gado community cannot be separated from the process of community migration due to natural disasters which finally made the Dayak Gado community separated into 3 Ketemenggungan. The shift of the Gado people from their initial place of refuge due to natural disasters made them separated but they still maintain the traditions of their ancestral heritage in the form of farming, hunting and finally the arrival of missionaries. The Capuchins who teach rubber plantations and the Chinese who teach the clearing of rice fields have changed the culture of cultivators to farmers to meet the rice needs of gold miners in the Monterado and Mandor areas. The history of the Gado Dayak community can be used as environmental-based history learning. The life of the Gado Dayak community can be used as a learning resource that is developed in junior high school through social studies subjects and high school through history subjects. The application of integrated learning models, such as in social studies subjects, can increase students' knowledge of environmental conditions so that they can be ready if something unexpected happens, such as a natural disaster.

Quantitative descriptive method is used when it aims to describe or explain events or an incident that is happening at the present time in the form of meaningful numbers. With a number of subjects of 26 students. Interlationsship studies. Testing for normality uses the Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis technique and for calculations using the SPSS 16.0 for Windows program. The data is said to be normally distributed if the significance value is greater than 0.05 at the significance level α = 0.05. The linearity results above indicate that the significance level is 0.588> 0.05; so that the two variables can be said to be linear. Based on the results of the hypothesis is the hypothesis in this study is "There is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and the making of audio-visual media by students in the subject of educational psychology. 4.243> 0.555) and a significance value of 0.000, which means less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). Based on these results, the first hypothesis in this study was not rejected. The results of the product moment correlation analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and the making of audio-visual media by students in educational psychology subjects. there is a relationship between the making of Audio Visual media in the educational psychology course with student learning motivation in the educational psychology course.

Abstract

Semitau in 1936 was a part of Afdeling Sintang. This research aims to find out and explore the history of Semitau, which was originally a forest until finally it became an onder afdeling under the Afdeling Sintang area. The method used in this research is historical which consists of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the research explain that Semitau before Abang Umar Juned's arrival was a forest. Semitau became even busier after the Dutch from Majang Island moved offices, barracks (dormitories) and warehouses and placed a Gouvernement representative, namely a Controleur, in Semitau until 1936 making it an under afdeling.
