Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Farmer Group Empowerment and Agribusiness Training Programs on the Productivity and Income of coffee farmers in West Java. The research utilizes a quantitative approach with a sample of 200 coffee farmers and significantly positively affect ploys Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze the relationships between the key variables. The results indicate that both Farmer Group Empowerment and Agribusiness Training Programs significantly positively affect Productivity and Income. However, Farmer Group Empowerment shows a stronger impact on productivity compared to training programs, emphasizing the importance of collective action in enhancing farming practices. These findings highlight the need for an integrated approach to agricultural development, combining empowerment with technical training to ensure sustainable improvements in farmers' livelihoods. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers and agricultural development practitioners seeking to promote rural development and increase smallholder farmers' productivity and income.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of green technology implementation, agricultural product innovation, and green technology infrastructure investment on local economic growth in West Java. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 respondents using a Likert scale and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that green technology implementation, agricultural product innovation, and green technology infrastructure investment all significantly and positively impact local economic growth. The results emphasize the importance of sustainable practices and innovation in fostering economic development. The study provides insights for policymakers and business leaders to promote green technology adoption, support agricultural innovation, and invest in infrastructure to drive sustainable economic growth. Future research should explore additional variables and broader geographical contexts to enhance the model's explanatory power.

Abstract

This research investigates the intricate dynamics within the creative industry of Bandung City by analyzing the influence of Innovative Leadership, Product Development Strategies, and Marketing Strategies on Business Growth. A sample of 150 creative enterprises was surveyed, and structural equation modeling with partial least squares (SEM-PLS) was employed for quantitative analysis. The measurement model assessment confirmed the reliability and validity of the measurement instruments, while the structural model revealed significant positive relationships between the independent variables and Business Growth. Hypotheses testing supported the influence of Innovative Leadership, Product Development Strategies, and Marketing Strategies on Business Growth. The model fit indices indicated an acceptable fit, and the R-Square values suggested that approximately 60.2% of the variance in Business Growth can be explained by the combined influence of the studied factors. The regression results further confirmed the positive associations between each independent variable and Business Growth. The study contributes valuable insights for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers within the creative industry and concludes with recommendations for future research.

Abstract

Abstract

Jakarta faces a severe Urban Heat Island (UHI) crisis and biodiversity loss, challenges compounded by current greening policies that prioritize aesthetics over functional ecological design. This study addresses the lack of a systematic Urban Forestry Design Methodology tailored for hyper-dense tropical megacities. The primary objective was the development and validation of the Dual-Benefit Urban Forestry (DBUF) Model, a prescriptive, GIS-based tool that simultaneously optimizes micro-climate mitigation and native biodiversity enhancement. The methodology employed a geospatial and computational modeling design, utilizing Landsat imagery to map UHI intensity and correlating it with existing UGI features for diagnostic analysis. The DBUF Model was then simulated and assessed in pilot urban zones. Results demonstrated the DBUF Model’s superior performance: optimized layouts achieved a predicted 3.5^{\circ}C reduction in Land Surface Temperature, significantly outperforming existing UGI’s 0.8^{\circ}C reduction, while concurrently predicting a 60\% increase in native bird species richness. The study concludes that the DBUF Model provides the necessary scientifically rigorous framework to shift policy from opportunistic landscaping to performance-based urban forestry, ensuring maximum functional ecological return from limited urban space.

Abstract

Tanjung Duren in West Jakarta is a dense urban area with a high level of development and activity, which has an impact on increasing waterproofing surfaces and decreasing drainage capacity. This research aims to identify the main causes of inundation, evaluate the performance of drainage systems, and formulate ap-plicable technical and non-technical solutions. A mixed-method approach was used, including field ob-servations at inundation points, technical measurements of channels, citizen perception surveys, and semi-structured interviews. The results showed that clogging by garbage, inappropriate channel cross-sections, and poor drainage connectivity were the main causes of inundation. The impact of in-undation includes mobility disruptions, economic losses, and health risks to residents. Hydrologi-cal-hydraulic analysis showed a mismatch between runoff discharge (Qin) and channel capacity (Qcap), with a ratio value of ρ ≥ 1 at some points. The proposed solutions consist of routine cleaning, increasing channel capacity, implementing infiltration wells, and strengthening community participation. Recom-mendations also include the establishment of a local taskforce and a waste management education pro-gram. This research emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach based on data and cross-sectoral collaboration in sustainable urban drainage management.
