Abstract

The revitalization program of historical and archaeological sites in Hulung Village, Taniwel District, aims to utilize historical sites as interactive learning tools. This program involved students, teachers, and local communities using an experiential learning approach to enhance historical understanding and cultural preservation awareness. Activities like scavenger hunts and storytelling engaged students directly on-site, increasing their learning interest and participation. Program evaluation showed significant improvement in students' historical knowledge and teachers’ motivation to adopt more interactive teaching methods. Additionally, the local community benefited economically from the revitalization, opening new opportunities in educational tourism. This program demonstrates that experience-based approaches can create sustainable impacts on education and cultural preservation

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Taniwel District, West Seram Regency, over four days involving 45 young participants from several villages. It aimed to address the challenges of low cultural and digital literacy that threaten the continuity of local cultural heritage. Using a Participatory Action Learning approach, the program strengthened youth capacity to integrate cultural values with digital competencies through a participatory and collaborative learning process. The community, traditional leaders, and educational institutions were actively engaged throughout the stages to ensure the integration of cultural values and technology. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ ability to document, edit, and publish cultural content digitally, alongside increased awareness of preserving their cultural identity. This program produced a culture-based empowerment model adaptive to technological advancement, empowering youth as active agents in cultural preservation through digital media. The implications highlight the necessity of policy support and digital infrastructure development to sustain community-based cultural preservation initiatives.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of mentoring for learning media development aim to enhance teachers' knowledge and skills in creating effective, computer-based instructional materials. This initiative targets teachers at SMA 4 Ambon City and is designed to improve teaching creativity and support effective learning management. The mentoring process involves a combination of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and interactive Q&A sessions. Lectures focus on the concepts of professional teaching and the role of creativity in education, while demonstrations present the stages of developing learning media. Participants then engage in practical sessions to design their own media tailored to the subjects they teach. The Q&A segment provides space for teachers to address challenges encountered during the development process. As a result, participants are expected to be able to design and produce relevant, engaging learning media that meets curricular needs and boosts classroom effectiveness, ultimately enhancing their overall teaching performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Pop-Up Book learning media in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of Events in Europe that Influenced Human Life in Grade XI at SMA Negeri 12 Ambon. The background of this research is based on the importance of mastering historical materials, which are often difficult for students to understand without the support of engaging, visual, and interactive learning media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed that the use of Pop-Up Book media significantly improved student learning outcomes. In the initial test, only a small portion of students reached the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). After the first cycle, classical completeness increased significantly, and by the second cycle, most students had met or exceeded the KKM. The cooperative learning approach applied during the lessons also encouraged active student interaction, enhanced understanding of historical material, critical thinking skills, and collaboration. Based on these findings, Pop-Up Book media can be recommended as an innovative alternative in history learning at the senior high school level

Abstract

Abstrak: Kajian ini, sesungguhnya mengungkapkan kekhawatiran tentang semakin rapuhnya semangat keberagaman kita sebagai suatu nation, konflik, kekerasan dan berbagai situasi sosial kemasyarakatan lainya yang terus merongrong identitas kebangsaan kita.Semua fenomena ini terjadi karena ketidakmampuan kita untuk mengapresiasi, mengartikulasikan keberagaman dalam semangat persatuan, secara konkrit dalam semua lini kehidupan kita.Berbagai gerakan dan upayadalam mempertahankan identitas kebangsaan dan mengkongkritkan keberagaman sebagai sebuah kekuatan bangsa terus digalahkan.Hal ini tentunya tidak semudah membalik telapak tangan namun paling tidak proses kearah penyadaran bahwa bangsa ini ada karena kepelbagaian dan keragaman mulai menunjukan kekuatannya.Mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural berbasil kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran disekolah-sekolah melalui mata pelajaran yang relevan harusnya sesegera mungkin dilakukan.Dengan demikian maka iklim kebersamaan, dalam tata pergaulan yang lebih demokratis, humanis, toleran dan etis demi Indonesian yang kita cintai dapat dijumpai dimana-mana. Sektor pendidikan merupakan wadah yang sangat strategis karena sesungguhnya masa depan bangsa dan keberagaman ini terletak pada para siswa generasi muda bangsa ini. Menyadarkan kaum muda untuk terus menjunjung tinggi toleransi, kerja sama, mengasihi, hormat menghormati, rasa kebangsaan dan sebagainya adalah cara kita untuk memperkuat kohesi sosial serta memperkokoh integrasi bangsa sehingga konflik sosial yang terus terjadi dalam kehidupan bersama sebagai suatu bangsa dapat dieliminir bahkan dihentikan. Dengan demikian Indonesia yang kita impikan adalah Indonesia yang rukun dan damai, maju, mandiri dan bersahaja dalam keberagaman sebagai identitas dapat terwujud
