Abstract

Budaya adalah suatu cara hidup yang berkembang dan dimiliki Bersama olehsebuah kelompok orang yang diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Budayaterbentuk dari unsur yang rumit, termasuk system agama dan politik, adat istiadat, Bahasa,perkakas, pakaian, bangunan dan karya seni. Bahasa sebagaimana juga budaya merupakanbagian yang tak terpisahkan dari diri manusia sehingga banyak orang yang menganggapnyadiwariskan secara genetis. Hal ini juga dapat diperlihatkan oleh anak-anak Kei dimanadalam permainan tradisional yang dimainkan setiap hari di lingkungan mereka masingmasingmenunjukan rasa persatuan dan kesatuan seperti dalam permainan tradisional tevtevkomin. Untuk mengetahu permainan tev-tev komin dalam masyarakat Kei sebagaipermainan tradisional. Tipe dalam penelitian ini adalah tipe kualitatif deskriptif denganpendekatan antropologi, karena yang dikaji dan diamati adalah perilaku manusia baik itutulisan maupun lisan yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah kebudayaan (Leksi Maleong 2003:3)Tev-tev komin merupakan sebuah permainan tradisional yang dimainkan oleh anaklaki-laki maupun perempuan untuk mengisi waktu luang, sekaligus untuk melestarikantradisi masyarakat Kei itu sendiri. Permainan tradisional tev-tev komin adalah wadah untukmenunjukan sebuah kebersamaan tanpa membedakan stratifikasi yang berlaku padamasyarakat adat Kei itu sendiri. Manusia tidak akan hidup tanpa manusia yang lain, dantidak ada satupun manusia yang hebat di dunia ini, semua manusia memiliki kelebihan dankekuranganya masing-masing, inilah pesan yang disampaikan dalam permainan ini.

Abstract

It is expected that teachers can manage the use of learning media to support the learning process following the goal of education. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of using maps as a learning media to solve the teachers’ difficulties in presenting the topics/materials in history subject. This research was conducted at SMA PGRI 2 Seram-Kairatu. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The description in this study was focused on describing the learning plan, media types, media selection, and the application of maps as learning media. The data obtained in this study included the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research results, firstly, the teacher prepared a Lesson Plan (RPP) and Syllabus. Secondly, the teacher used maps as a medium of learning, especially in history subjects. Thirdly, the use of maps as learning media was following the topics/materials being taught. Thus, the conclusion of this study was that using maps as a learning media provided convenience for history teachers in explaining the material to students. In addition, the use of maps as learning media was adjusted to the material taught by the teacher.

Abstract

Value clarification technique (VCT) and teaching and contextual learning (CTL) are learning models that are rarely compared in history learning. Hence, the purpose of this study was to find: i) The differences in student learning outcomes using the VCT model and the CTL learning model; ii) Differences in student learning outcomes between the use of the VCT learning model and CTL learning model for students who have high learning motivation; iii) Differences in learning outcomes between the use of VCT and CTL learning models for students who have low learning motivation; and iv) The interaction effect between the use of learning models and students' learning motivation on learning outcomes. This study employed a quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a 2×2 factorial design. The data analysis technique used a two-way analysis of variance at a significance level (α) of 0.05. The population in this study was all students of class X of social science (IPS). The study's research showed that: i) There were significant differences in learning outcomes between students who used the VCT and CTL learning models; ii) There were differences in learning outcomes between the used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students who have high learning motivation; iii) There were differences in learning outcomes between the used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students who have low learning motivation; and iv) The used of the VCT and CTL learning models for students with high learning motivation was associated with better learning outcomes.

Abstract

This Learning is essentially a process of interaction between students and their environment, resulting in changes in behavior for the better. The results of observations that have been made at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon in history subjects, it is known that cognitive learning outcomes in students are still low, ie almost 80% of students get scores below 60. One of the learning models that is able to train students in overcoming problems This is done by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of the PBL learning model on the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon and to analyze the effectiveness of the use of the PBL learning model in improving the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon. This type of research is a pure experiment using a pretest-posttest group design. The samples in this study were students in class X-B as the experimental class and class X-C as the comparison class. The results of data analysis in this study concluded that: (1) the PBL learning model affected the learning outcomes of history at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon; and (2) the PBL learning model is effective in improving history learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 10 Ambon.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the history of the Wapauwe Old Mosque including the architectural aspects and the objects in it. The study employed archaeological approach using a systematic procedure based on four main steps, namely: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiog­raphy. His­to­rical approach was taken to describe the historical background of the mosque. At the same time, the archaeological process was used to describe the physical structure of the mosque building. This study found that the Wapauwe Mosque is one of the oldest historical mosques in Maluku, located in Kaitetu State, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. It was built in 1414 by an Islamic preacher, namely Perdana Jamilu. Wapauwe Mosque’s ancient characteristics can be seen from thatched leaves as the roof and gaba-gaba (sago fronds) as walls. The mosque was built without using nails in each connection segment. The function of pins was substi­tuted by ties from ropes or gamuttu. At the four corners of the mosque's tributary, there was wood carved with calligraphy written: Muhammad (north-south corner) and Allah Muhammad (east-west junction). This study contributes to the literature of Islamic heritage in Nusantara by adding data about historic old mosques in Indonesia. This study promoted localized Islamic history to the people of Maluku as material for consideration and to the government to maintain maintain the Islamic heritage. Keywords: Ambon, Indonesia, Islam, Old Mosque, Wapauwe   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan sejarah perkem­bangan Masjid Tua Wapauwe yang meliputi waktu, pendiri, serta kondisi masyarakat di sekitar saat itu dan aspek arsitekturnya serta benda-benda yang ada di dalamnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah dengan menggunakan prosedur sistematis yang bertumpu pada empat langkah utama yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi dengan menggunakan pendekatan arkeologi. Pendekatan historis dilaku­kan untuk mendeskripsikan latar belakang sejarah masjid yang dianalisis secara kritis. Sedangkan pendekatan arkeologis dilakukan untuk mendes­krip­sikan struktur fisik bangunan Masjid. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa Masjid Wapauwe merupakan salah satu masjid tertua bersejarah di Maluku yang terletak di Negeri Kaitetu, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah, Pro­vinsi Maluku. Dibangun pada tahun 1414 oleh seorang penyebar agama Islam yakni Perdana Jamilu. Berdasarkan penelusuran, Masjid Wapauwe memperlihatkan ciri-ciri kekunoannya pada bentuknya yang bercorak tradisional dengan menyisipkan model piramida terpancung pada atapnya yang terbuat dari daun rumbia dan penggunaan gaba gaba (pelepah sagu) sebagai dinding. Kontruksi bangunan dibangun tanpa menggunakan paku pada setiap ruas sambungan, fungsi paku pada bangunan disubtitusi dengan menggunakan ikatan dari tali atau dalam istilah lokal disebut gamuttu. Selain itu pada keempat sudut tritisan masjid terdapat kayu yang diukir dengan motif kaligrafi. Dalam kaligrafi bertuliskan Muhammad (sudut utara-selatan) dan Allah Muhammad (sudut timur-barat). Kajian ini bermanfaat bagi pengembangan khazanah keislaman di Nusantara serta dapat menambah data infromasi tentang masjid tua bersejarah di Indonesia dan secara praktis, penlitian ini sebagai wahana untuk memper­kenalkan sejarah Islam yang bersifat lokalitas kepada masyarakat Maluku, sebagai bahan pertimbangan kepada pemerintah agar tetap melestarikan serta menjaga cagar keagamaan dan kebudayaan.  Kata kunci: Ambon, Indonesia, Islam, Masjid tua, Wapauwe

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore the history of the arrival of the Chinese community in Saparua and identify the dynamics of the Chinese community's life in terms of social, economic, political, cultural and governance aspects in Saparua. Thus, it is hoped that this research can enrich the historiography of the relatively few Saparua Chinese in Maluku. The research method used is the historical method which consists of four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography using theories and other relevant social science concepts. From this research, it is known that the Chinese community in Saparua has existed for a long time. This is evidenced by the existence of relics in the form of old Chinese graves, Chinese churches, and Chinese schools in Saparua. The social life of the Chinese community and the local community there still has a very good relationship. This can be seen by the use of the original clan in Saparua and the use of the Malay language of Saparua by the Chinese community. In addition, the Chinese people live their lives side by side with one another regardless of ethnicity and skin color. The Chinese community does not play an important role in politics or their government is more inclined to the economic field. This can be seen from their livelihood as a wholesaler of grocery, building materials and basic necessities. They do this economic activity every day so that the ethnic Chinese in Saparua are referred to by the local community as "Saparua Chinese". Thus the Chinese people in Saparua have considered themselves as Saparua people.Keywords: History, Dynamics, Chinese Society, SaparuaAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sejarah kedatangan masyarakat Tionghoa di Saparua dan mengidentifikasi dinamika kehidupan masyarakat Tionghoa baik dari sisi sosial, ekonomi, politik, budaya dan pemerintahan di Saparua. Dengan demikian diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memperkaya historiografi tentang etnis Tionghoa Saparua di Maluku yang masih relatif sedikit.metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi dengan menggunakan teori dan konsep ilmu sosial lain yang relevan. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa masyarakat Tionghoa yang ada di Saparua telah ada sejak lama. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peninggalan-peninggalan berupa kuburan tua cina, gereja cina, dan sekolah cina di saparua. Kehidupan sosial masyarakat Tionghoa dengan masyarakat lokal di sana masih memiliki hubungan yang terjalin dengan sangat baik. Hal ini dapat diketahui dengan penggunaan marga asli yang berada di Saparua dan penggunaan bahasa melayu saparua oleh masyarakat Tionghoa. Selain itu, masyarakat Tionghoa menjalani kehidupan mereka dengan saling berdampingan satu dengan yang lain tanpa membedakan etnis dan warna kulit. Masyarakat Tionghoa tidak memainkan peran penting dalam bidang politik atau pemerintahan mereka lebih cenderung pada bidang ekonomi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari mata pencahrian mereka sebagai seorang pedagang kelontongan, bahan bangunan dan bahan sembako. Kegiatan ini ekonomi ini mereka lakukan setiap hari sehingga etnis Tionghoa di saparua disebut oleh masyarakat lokal dengan sebutan “Cina Saparua”. Dengan demikian masyrakat Tionghoa yang ada di Saparua telah menggangap diri mereka sebagai orang Saparua.

Abstract

Abstract: In the learning process at school, learning resources are supporting indicators for achieving learning objectives. Apart from other supporting factors such as learning media, teachers and students. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of learning resources in history learning, and challenges and solutions in overcoming problems related to the use of learning resources in SMA Negeri Kota Ternate. In this study, using a qualitative method with descriptive research type, the research subjects were teachers who are teaching history, students and school heads. With the aim in order to explore the factors that have a correlation with the use of learning resources in learning history. To obtain data to support this research, the data collection process was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Then to find out the validity of the data, it is carried out through qualitative analysis with an inductive logic approach, in which the syllogism is built based on specific things or data in the field and leads to general conclusions. Thus, this approach uses the logic of thinking to resemble a sitting pyramid. The results of the research obtained illustrate that, first, the use of learning resources in learning history at SMA Negeri 5 Ternate City is very good, messages, environment, tools, techniques and materials, although the use of textbooks is still a learning resource. Secondly, the obstacles that were found were the lack of learning resources such as textbooks, especially for class XI, and the availability of time.   Keyword: Resources for Learning, Learning, History   Abstrak : Dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, sumber belajar merupakan indikator pendukung untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Selain dari faktor pendukung lainnya seperti media pembelajaran, guru dan siswa. Tujuan pada penelitian ini agar mengetahui penggunaan sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran sejarah, dan tantangan-maupun solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan sumber belajar di SMA Negeri Kota Ternate. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif maka subyek penelitian adalah guru mata pelajaran sejarah, siswa dan kepalah sekolah. Dengan tujuan agar untuk menggali faktor-faktor yang memiliki korelasi dengan penggunaan sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Untuk memperoleh data guna mendukung penelitian ini, maka proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian untuk mengetahui keabsahan data, maka dilakukan melalui analisis-analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan logika induktif, di mana silogisme dibangun berdasarkan pada hal-hal khusus atau data di lapangan dan bermuara pada kesimpulan-kesimpulan umum. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini menggunakan logika berpikir menyerupai piramida duduk. Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menggambarkan bahwa, pertama, penggunaan sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate sudah sangat baik, penggunaan dengan cara penggunaan pada manusia, pesan, lingkungan, alat, teknik dan bahan. Walaupun penggunaan buku teks masih sebagai sumber belajar. Kedua, kendala yang ditemukan yakni, minimnya sumber belajar seperti buku teks khususnya bagi kelas XI, serta ketersediaan waktu. Ketiga, solusi untuk menjawab kendala yang ada dengan cara guru dan siswa dapat memanfaatkan ketersediaan internet untuk bisa mengakses buku-buku berkaitan dengan materi yang diajarkan.   Kata Kunci : Sumber Belajar, Pembelajaran, Sejarah

Abstract

This research examines the role of the Ambonsche Studiefonds and Sarekat Ambon organizations in fostering nationalism among Maluku natives and in the struggle for Indonesian independence. Using the historical method, this research explores how the Ethical Policy introduced by the Dutch East Indies government influenced the emergence of pro-independence organizations and how they played a role in mobilizing resistance to colonialism. The Ethical Policy, motivated by the Dutch' debt of honor' towards its colonies, opened up access to education for natives and indirectly encouraged national consciousness. The results show that the Ambonsche Studiefonds played a role in expanding access to education for Maluku natives, thus increasing nationalist awareness among them. In addition, Sarekat Ambon became an essential forum for resistance after the transfer of its headquarters to Surabaya, which contributed to the struggle for Indonesian independence. This research also highlights the existence of the Malukan nationalist movement despite many of its members being victims of torture by the Japanese occupation army. Their loyalty and fighting spirit ultimately contributed to Indonesia's independence in 1945. Based on the findings in the heuristic process, this research emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating the role of Malukan nationalists in the history of Indonesia's independence struggle. It is hoped that the results of this research can inspire the younger generation to uphold the spirit of nationalism and national unity in facing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This research is entitled Ethnic Chinese in the Dynamics of the Kei Islands Community. The problems that will be studied in this study are as follows: 1) How is the process of entering the Chinese community in the Kei Islands? 2) How is the interaction between the Chinese community and the local community in the Kei Islands? To get answers to these problems, the research method used is history, which consists of our stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography, using theories and other relevant social science concepts. The objectives of this study are To explain the process of the arrival of the Chinese community in the Kei Islands, their interaction with the local community, and their role in the governmental, economic and socio-cultural aspects of the Kei Islands. Thus, it is hoped that this research can enrich the historiography of the Kei ethnic Chinese in Maluku, which is still relatively small. From this research, it is known that the Chinese people in the KeiIslands have existed for a long time and can interact with local communities well. It can be seen from the Chinese community's use of the indigenous Kei clan and the application of local culture in their lives, even though these practices go hand in hand with the original Chinese traditions. Until now, the Chinese community has played a vital role in various sectors of life in Kei, both in the economy and politics. It can be seen from the Chinese title Kei, and some politicians of Chinese descent, even the former regent of the Kei Islands, are of Chinese descent. Thus, the Chinese people in Kei considered themselves as Kei people.

Abstract

The people who inhabit the island of Buru come from various places; among them, some groupings differentiate from one another and are known as Rana people, Wakahallo people, Orangakang, Earth lale people and traders. Of the five designations, this study focuses on "Trading People". In this case, the Chinese community. They also play an essential role in various community life sectors on Buru Island. Their existence is identified through names such as "Chinese Namlea, Chinese Namrole, Chinese Waplau and Chinese Buru". The purpose of this research is to explore the history of the arrival of the Chinese community on Buru Island and to identify the dynamics of Chinese life in terms of social, economic, political, and cultural aspects of Buru Island. To achieve this goal, the historical method was used in four stages: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The number of Chinese communities on Buru Island is large and spread over several locations in several sub-districts. They live side by side with the local population without a barrier in the form of a high wall to separate them from the surrounding community. Their livelihoods generally are trading groceries and necessities and building materials for houses. In addition, they can also take advantage of the availability of natural resources on the island of Buru, namely eucalyptus oil and make it an important trading commodity with high economic value. Even though they have adhered to Christianity and Islam, they still maintain the Chinese tradition from their ancestors. Besides the trade sector, Chinese people in Buru have played an essential role in politics.
