Abstract

The increasing population in Indonesia has also had an impact on the increase in the number of workers. Increasing the number of workers without being followed by the availability of labor will cause unemployment problems, and increasing unemployment will have an impact on reducing economic growth and inhibiting development. This study aims to determine what factors can affect employment in the Pati Residency. This observation uses a panel data regression analysis using data obtained through the official BPS website. The results of the analysis of this study explain that the Gross Regional Domestic Product has a negative and significant effect on employment in the Pati Residency in 2017-2021.

Abstract

The Environmental Quality Index serves as an indicator for assessing the efficacy of environmental management and protection. It functions as a reference point for various stakeholders involved in evaluating the performance of environmental preservation efforts. The index's measurement is based on three key indicators: the Water Quality Index, Air Quality Index, and Land Cover Quality Index. This study is conducted with the primary goal of investigating the influence of Population, Human Development Index, Industrial Sector GRDP, and Poverty Level on the Provincial Environmental Quality Index across Java Island during the period of 2017 to 2021. Secondary data is employed for this research, utilizing panel data analysis techniques. The outcomes of this study reveal that the Human Development Index and Poverty Rate significantly impact the Environmental Quality Index. Conversely, the Total Population and Industrial Sector GRDP exhibit no significant influence on the Provincial Environmental Quality Index within Java Island for the years 2017 to 2021.

Abstract

Purpose – The abundance of human resources becomes a burden on a country. On the other hand, the abundance of natural resources is an advantage if the government can use it well. The efforts made by the government are to improve the quality of human resources, including three indicators, namely healthy living, education, and decent living standards. However, it is accompanied by problems regarding gender discrimination that often occurs in various countries; this discrimination is often experienced by women, ranging from being objects of exploitation, subordination, violence and discrimination in all sectors. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Human Development Index and Gender Development Index on economic growth and the distribution of economic growth in ten provinces on the island of Sumatra in 2018-2021.Methodology – This research uses Static Panel Data Regression analysis tool and economic growth mapping using ArcGISFindings – The results of this study show that life expectancy and Income per capita have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the Mean Year of School variables and gender development index do not affect economic growth. Based on the results of mapping the distribution of economic growth, the area with the highest economic growth is North Sumatra Province. Then the area that has the lowest economic growth is Bengkulu Province.Originality/Novelty – The novelty in this study is mapping the distribution of economic growth for ten provinces on Sumatera Island with the results of the constant effect of panel data regression output.Implications – This research is still limited to the role of human resource development on economic growth and has not examined other variables that can affect economic growth. So that future research can use a different point of view on human resource development on economic growth.

Abstract

This article examines the role of gathering activities as an interactive platform for exchanging ideas, knowledge, and skills between students and local entrepreneurs. Through the Independent Entrepreneurship program, students bring academic expertise and offer new perspectives to address challenges faced by MSMEs. Conversely, local entrepreneurs provide valuable practical experience and industry insights, enriching students' learning with real-world contexts. The interaction between these parties strengthens professional networks and fosters mutually beneficial experiential learning. Students have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real case studies, while MSMEs can adopt more effective and innovative business strategies, such as enhancing digital marketing and operational efficiency. This entrepreneurship gathering program is expected to increase students' job readiness and establish a collaborative model that can be replicated in various regions to support local economic development. Therefore, this article recommends the strengthening and expansion of this program to achieve broader and more sustainable impacts.
