Abstract

Adolescence is closely related to body image because at this stage adolescents are looking for their identity and identity. Knowledge of balanced nutrition can give adolescents the ability to apply balanced nutrition information to their diet. Abnormal nutritional status in adolescents is generally caused by incorrect nutritional behavior, which is not balanced consumption with nutritional needs. This study aims to analyze the relationship between body image and knowledge of balanced nutrition with the nutritional status of adolescent girls at MA Muhammadiyah Lingadan Tolitoli. This study is a correlational quantitative study with a cross sectional design. Respondents used were all adolescent girls aged 10-18 years at MA Muhammadiyah Lingadan Tolitoli totaling 44 people. Data collection in this study used the MBSRQ-AS Questionnaire (Multidemensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scale), Balanced Nutrition Knowledge Test and measurement of body weight and height to obtain nutritional status data. Data analysis was performed using the Rank Spearman statistical test. The statistical test results showed that there was no significant relationship between body image and nutritional status of adolescent girls at MA Muhammadiyah Lingadan Tolitoli (p=0.384>0.05) and there was a significant relationship between balanced nutrition knowledge and nutritional status of adolescent girls at MA Muhammadiyah Lingadan Tolitoli (p=0.004<0.05).

Abstract

Hypertension as silent disease or silent killer i.e. escalation of systolic blood pressure is higher or equal to 140mmHg, and escalation of diastolic pressure is higher or equal to 90 mmHg. High prevalence of hypertension need to get the right treatment. The situation analyst at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Hospital, obtained two from five patient have not complied with instructions by local doctor. This Study intend : (1) acknowledge relationship level of knowledge toward diet obedience in outpatient hypertension at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Hospital, (2) acknowledge relationship family support toward diet obedience in outpatient hypertension at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Hospital. This Study uses correlation, using a cross sectional approach. This study held in Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Hospital and several respondent houses. Sample of this study come to 22 respondent using total sampling technique. Data retrieval by test and questionnaires. Then, the data were analyzed by frequency distribution and Chi-square Test. Based on the results of this research were obtained respondents have good knowledge (27,3%) Family support with a good values (50%). Result of bivarate analysis knowledge p value>0,05, so then there is uncorelattion between knowledge with diet obedience. Whereas, result of family support p value <0,05, so then there is a relationship between family support with diet obedience. Conclusion from the data show, that the variable level of knowledge has no relationship diet obedience in outpatients at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban, while family support be found relationship, toward diet obedience outpatient at Dr. R. Koesma Tuban Hospital.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where a person's blood pressure increases above normal which can inhibit the work of the heart. Strategies that can be used to reduce the incidence of hypertension is to utilize products favored by the public that have the potential to lower blood pressure. Food ingredients such as milkfish, white radish, and broccoli. All three have the opportunity to be processed into food products that are well known among the public, efficient, practical, and acceptable to all circles where the product is Nugget. This study aims to determine the effect of adding white radish and broccoli to the preference level of milkfish nuggets as an alternative snack for hypertensive patients. This study used an experimental design, namely RAL with 6 treatments. The treatment was factor L as the addition of white radish with 3 levels and factor B as the addition of broccoli with 2 levels. The results showed that the milkfish nuggets with the addition of 70% white radish and 30% broccoli were preferred by the panelists with a protein nutrient content of 9.48% using the Kjeldahl test, 16.4% fat using the Weibull test, 0.18% potassium using the ASS, 2.24% sodium using the ASS test, and 248.98 kcal energy using calculations.

Abstract

Personal hygiene in food handlers is the key to success in safe and healthy food processing. One of the factors that affect the personal hygiene practices of food handlers is the level of knowledge and attitude. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes and the practice of personal hygiene of food handlers in cafes Proof.co Mojokerto. This study is a quantitative research using a cross-sectional approach. The respondents in this study were 9 people. Data were collected using knowledge instruments, attitude questionnaires and observation sheets. The data analysis used was a spearman rank correlation test to determine the relationship between knowledge level and attitude with the personal hygiene practices of food handlers. The results of this study showed that there was a relationship between knowledge level (p-value 0,005) and personal hygiene practices and no relationship between attitude (p-value 0,075) and personal hygiene practices. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of personal hygiene and there is no relationship between attitude and the practice of personal hygiene of food handlers at Cafe Proof.co Mojokerto.

Abstract

Breastfeeding (ASI) and complementary feeding (MP-ASI) are determinants of a baby's growth and development starting from the period 0 days or the day after birth until the age of 2 years. Providing nutritional intake that is less than required can cause long-term growth and development in children, which is permanent and difficult to repair. This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and MP-ASI with the growth and development of babies aged 6–12 months in the Harapan Baru Community Health Center Working Area, Samarinda City. Type of quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The location of this research was carried out at the Posyandu in the Working Area of the Harapan Baru Community Health Center, Samarinda City. The sample in this study was mothers of babies 6-12 months with 84 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman correlation non-parametric statistical test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between giving exclusive breastfeeding and the growth of babies aged 6-12 months (p=0.00), there was a relationship between giving breast milk and the development of babies aged 6-12 months (p=0.021), there was a relationship between giving MP-ASI and growth babies 6-12 months (p=0.022), and there is a relationship between giving MP-ASI and the development of babies 6-12 months (p=0.042). Increasing the provision of appropriate breast milk and MP-ASI is very important to achieve optimal growth and development of babies.

Abstract

Adolescent development sooner or later will experience changes, especially in their lifestyle. Especially people's lifestyles on fast food consumption patterns (fast food). The purpose of this research is to determine teenagers' interests, opinions and activities regarding purchasing fast food in Lamongan District, Lamongan Regency. The sample used was a total of teenagers aged 16-18 years in Lamongan District, Lamongan Regency. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling until 125 respondents were obtained. This research uses quantitative descriptive research with a survey and design research approach cross sectional. This research instrument uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses descriptive percentage analysis. The results of this research show that teenagers' interest tends to lead to information seeking and repeat purchases fast food. Teenagers' opinions tend to focus on the safety of long-term consumption and the impact of consumption fast food. Teenagers' activities tend to lead to purchases fast food ≥ 3 times a week and time of purchase. And purchasing decisions tend to be driven by teenagers' opinions and activities. Adolescents' opinions that are in line with their beliefs will rarely involve consuming activities fast food, while opinions that do not match beliefs will influence excessive consumption fast food.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Fase remaja merupakan fase kehidupan antara masa kanak-kanak dan dewasa, dari usia 10 hingga 19 tahun. Fase ini memasuki tahap perkembangan manusia yang unik dan waktu yang penting untuk meletakkan dasar kesehatan yang baik. Remaja juga bisa dikategorikan masuk dalam masa prakonsepsi. Usia remaja termasuk dalam kategori rentan gizi. Masalah nutrisi yang sering terjadi selama periode prakonsepsi termasuk kekurangan energi kronis dan anemia. Kecukupan gizi selama periode prakonsepsi penting untuk menjaga kondisi gizi tubuh sehingga dapat menunjang fungsi alat reproduksi secara optimal dan berperan penting dalam penyediaan cadangan gizi untuk tumbuh kembang janin. Fondasi gizi yang kuat bagi remaja sangat diperlukan sehingga tim memiliki inovasi perbaikan gizi remaja diciptakan melalui program NutriTeen. Tujuan: untuk memberdayakan remaja dan meningkatkan pengetahuan melalui pendidikan kesehatan. Metode: Program NutriTeen menggunakan penyuluhan dalam 2 tahap yang diikuti oleh remaja putri berjumlah 39 orang. Program ini menggunakan instrumen berupa pretest, video, buku EduTeen, postest, dan kuesioner evaluasi. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan siswi kelas XII SMA Labschool UNESA mengalami kenaikan, rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 65,1% menjadi rata-rata nilai postest sebesar 68,5%. Presentase total yang mengalami peningkatan skor sebesar 60%. Kesimpulan: Program NutriTeen yang telah dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja putri.

Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia is a common condition that occurs in female students, influenced by many factors such as knowledge, attitudes and eating habits. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about anemia, eating habits with the incidence of anemia in female students at the Faculty of Engineering, Unesa. This study used a cross-sectional design. Sample from this study were 105 female students from 10 study programs. The data measured were knowledge and attitudes of anemia, eating habits containing intake of iron, vitamin C, calcium, and hemoglobin (Hb) levels. Bivariate analysis using the Spearman's Rank Test. The data showed that the majority of respondents had moderate knowledge (55.2%), positive level for attitude (49.5%), iron intake was severe deficit level (70.5%), excessive of vitamin C intake (40.9%) and calcium intake at a severe deficit level (99%). The results of the bivariate test showed a relationship between several variables with the incidence of anemia , such us knowledge about anemia (p = 0.000 <0.05), attitude of anemia (p = 0.007 <0.05), and eating habits of vitamin C (p = 0.007 <0.05). While the habit of iron and calcium intake showed no relationship with the incidence of anemia (p = 0.083> 0.05) and (p = 0.107> 0.05). It concluded that knowledge and attitude about anemia also intake of vitamin C have relation with the incidence of anemia in female students at faculty of engineerig, Unesa while the intake of iron and calcium does not.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common menstrual disorders, but it often receives little attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status, fat intake, and iron intake with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in female Nutrition students at Surabaya State University. The method in this study was quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. The sample consisted of 92 female Nutrition students at Surabaya State University using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were the NRS questionnaire to measure the level of dysmenorrhea pain and the SQ-FFQ form to measure fat and iron intake. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank correlation test which showed that there was a significant relationship between excess nutritional status of 33.7% with the incidence of dysmenorrhea (p = 0.000, r = 0.832), there was a significant relationship between excess fat intake of 58.7% with the incidence of dysmenorrhea (p = 0.000, r = 0.793), and there was a significant relationship between insufficient iron intake of 94.6% with the incidence of dysmenorrhea (p = 0.000, r = 0.610).

Abstract

Snack bars are snacks that are suitable to be consumed after exercise. This research aims to determine the effect of substitution of mung bean flour and addition of soybean flour on the acceptability of a snack bar, as well as the nutritional content of carbohydrates, proteins, and BCAA of the best formula. This research is a pure experiment, with 3x2 factorial research design. The panelists consist of 35 untrained panelists, namely 35 inkai karate athletes at ADLI KBD. The research data were obtained by filling out organoleptic acceptability test questionnaires, then analyzed with Friedman and Wilcoxon test. While the nutritional content is obtained through laboratory tests. The substitution of mung bean flour and the addition of soybean flour significantly affect the aroma (p=0.02), texture (p=0.00), and taste (p=0.00); But it does not significantly affect the color (p=0.40). The best formula were the substitution of 10% mung bean flour and the addition of 5% soybean flour. A piece of snack bar (50g) contains 28.05g carbohydrates; 7.03g protein; and 28.47mg BCAA (10.52mg leucine; 12.05mg isoleucine; 5.9mg valine). One snack bar can fulfill 77,2% of carbohydrates and 72,8% protein needs. Athletes need to consume two pcs after exercise to reach 10% of their daily nutrition needs.
