Abstract

Public service advertisements are a form of commercial communication aimed at providing information or changing people's attitudes towards certain social issues. Public service advertisements have many relevant themes, one of which is being wise on social media. Social media is a digital platform that facilitates users to interact with each other without being limited by space and time. The use of social media provides positive impacts such as a place for creativity, a source of information and education, promotion and branding. Meanwhile, the negative impacts experienced include the spread of misinformation, cyberbullying, privacy and data security issues, psychological impacts. After understanding the background of the importance of wise use of social media in everyday life and the negative impacts it causes, several main questions emerge which are the focus of this research, namely: What is the concept of producing public service advertisements about Wisely Using Social Media and What is the production process for public service advertisements about Wisely? Social Media. To answer the questions that have been formulated, this research uses several methods, namely the creation method, the idea creation method and the production method. By applying this method, this research was successful in obtaining results which show that the concept and implementation of the production of public service advertisements "Social Media Wise" can educate the public to be more careful in using social media, including filtering information before following or sharing, respecting other people's privacy, and interact positively in the digital space. It is hoped that this advertisement will be able to encourage better behavioral changes, create a healthy social media environment in utilizing technology, support the development of an intelligent, critical and responsible society in this information era.

Abstract

Film dokumenter adalah suatu bentuk karya audio visual yang menggambarkan dan mendokumentasikan realitas. Istilah "dokumenter" pertama kali diperkenalkan dalam ulasan film Moana (1926) karya Robert Flaherty, yang ditulis oleh seorang kritik bernama The Moviegoer alias John Grierson, di New York Sun pada 8 Februari 1926. Di Prancis, istilah "dokumenter" digunakan untuk merujuk pada segala jenis film non-fiksi, termasuk film perjalanan dan film edukatif. Dalam produksi film, peran seorang sutradara sangat sentral. Secara umum, sutradara bertanggung jawab atas pengarahan artistik dan teknis, memberikan instruksi kepada kru produksi, memberikan petunjuk kepada para pemain, mengelola aspek kreatif dari segi naratif dan sinematik, serta menentukan visi keseluruhan film. Film dokumenter yang diproduksi di PT. Nusa Dewata Kreatif Studio fokus pada eksplorasi Ritual Jamasan Api. Secara umum, istilah "Jamasan" atau "siraman" berasal dari bahasa Jawa yang merujuk pada tindakan membersihkan atau memandikan. Salah satu bentuk jamasan adalah dengan menggunakan api, yang dikenal sebagai "TAPA GENI". Film dokumenter ini berfokus pada Ni Putu Ira Karisma Santi, seorang wanita muda dari Bali, yang menjalani Ritual Jamasan Api untuk mengatasi penyakit yang dideritanya. Ritual jamasan api ini memiliki aturan khusus, di mana hanya boleh dilakukan pada malam hari, Prosesi ritual yang dilakukan pada malam hari ini tidak dilakukan secara sembarangan, melainkan memiliki makna dan tujuan yang mendalam. Film dokumenter ini menggunakan konsep dokumenter realisme yaitu suatu genre film dokumenter yang menekankan keaslian atau kejadian nyata. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk menggambarkan keadaan sebagaimana adanya tanpa banyak campur tangan atau manipulasi dari pembuat film. Film dokumenter ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan kepada penonton mengenai ritual ini, yang mungkin belum banyak diketahui oleh banyak orang. Karya film dokumenter ini merupakan bagian dari tugas akhir penulis, dan dapat diverifikasi keasliannya melalui surat pernyataan resmi.

Abstract

This final project explores the application of storytelling techniques in the production of three music videos (MVs) by the band The Muncheis, namely “It Is What It Is,” “Freedom,” and “Friends.” The primary goal is to communicate the messages of the songs through a narrative and emotional visual approach. The creative process was carried out in three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. Pre-production involved lyric analysis, visual concept development, scriptwriting, and assembling the production team. Filming techniques such as handheld shots and warm color composition were used to enhance the emotional connection between the audience and the characters. Post-production processes, including rough cut, fine cut, picture lock, and color grading, were conducted to refine the final output. The results demonstrate that storytelling can enrich the emotional dimension of MVs and help audiences better grasp the intended messages, turning MVs into compelling narrative media beyond music promotion.

Abstract

Documentary films are a development according to non-fiction films where documentary films contain information & contain the subjectivity of the makers. This means that what is recorded is based on existing facts (Nugroho, 2007). According to Chandra Tansil (2010:5), the stages of making a documentary film are divided into six parts, namely Building ideas, Research, Composing a storyline, Composing production design, Filming, Editing images and sound on the editing table. Expository Documentary Films or Documentaries that focus on presenting facts and information with clear and objective narratives. Expository documentaries are one type of documentary film that aims to convey information, facts, or knowledge to the audience objectively and informatively. The production of the documentary film "Cosmic Energy I Ketut Budiana" raises the story of artist I Ketut Budiana which shows how the creative process of artist I Ketut Budiana in creating his work where the artist explores the basic concepts of cosmos life, namely concepts that are actually universal, born from the appreciation of Balinese spiritual values. This documentary aims to show the results of cultural art works created by a maestro who is very creative and innovative in his work. The process of creating the documentary film “Cosmic Energy I Ketut Budiana” involved partners and supervising lecturers who have helped to create a work that has continued benefits until the work is quickly completed.

Abstract

Rupa Jiwa Mask Singapadu is a documentary film exploring the beauty of mask art of Singapadu as one of Bali's cultural heritages rich in aesthetic value, philosophy, and spirituality. The film uses an exposure approach to describe the process of making masks, ranging from material selection to completion, and features in-depth interviews with local artists such as Cokorda Alit Artawan. This documentary also highlights the role of mask art in the traditional and spiritual traditions of Balinese people, while uncovering the challenges of preserving this art in the midst of modernization.
