Abstract

Background - Strategy formulation is often a complicated process that requires adopting a systematic approach to diagnosing external factors and to match these external factors with internal capabilities, therefore strategy formulation is an important measure of a company's success in winning the competition at the national level or maybe even at the international level. Purpose – This study aims to provide an academic paper on freight Forwarder company management which is the object of research in determining future company strategies by identifying SWOT and TOWS in order to uncover strategies to exploit strengths and opportunities as well as to improve weaknesses and overcome these threats. Design / Methodology / Approach – This study uses a qualitative approach in answering the formulation of research problems. The data collection method consists of a comprehensive review of the literature and a part of interviews with management executives at freight forwarders. Data analysis uses the IFE approach and the EFE Matrix, to map the scores and weightings of internal strengths and external changes. Result and Discussion – Combining the IFE and EFE analysis, we get a company positioning plot at the medium or hold and maintain level, which means that the company's current focus is on market penetration and product / service development. Conclusion – The TOWS matrix produces a series of proposed strategies, namely SO, WO, ST, and WT that echo internal and external conditions, so it is hoped that the four proposed strategies will be able to increase the competitiveness of companies in the national arena. Research Limitation - This research is limited to companies within the scope of freight forwarders in the city of Surabaya. Research in different years with the same variables is suggested to be carried out in the future, considering that internal changes and external changes will follow changes in time. Research Implications - This research can be used as a reference for other companies in the freight forwarder sector to determine the direction of the company's future strategy, however, these results are only valid for companies that are the object of research, all variables must be changed and adjusted to the conditions of each company. the proposed strategy becomes valid. Acknowledgment - This research was carried out in collaboration with companies in the field of freigt forwarders in the city of Surabaya, along with their leaders who took the time and willingness to complete this research study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between employee ability and leadership through commitment and motivation towards the employees’ performance at PT. X that are engaged in logistics. The results showed that the model placing organizational com- mitment as a construct proved to be better than the one measuring organizational com- mitment as a multi-construct affective commitment, continuous commitment, and nor- mative commitment. It also showed that between commitment dimensions are highly correlated with each other and therefore it leads to residues correlate with each other’s. Based on the path coefficient test on the modification model, namely placing commitment as a construct, it indicated as follows: Transformational leadership has a significant positive influence on organizational commitment. Transformational leadership has a significant effect on employee work motivation, organizational commitment proved to have a significant positive effect on employee work motivation, work motivation proved to have a significant positive effect on employee performance. The employees’ ability proved to have a significant positive effect on employee performance. The research implication of this study is a form of human resources development in the company, especially in terms of performance by manipulating its internal leadership and commitment. In the future this can be one way to develop its internal HR.

Abstract

Layanan di tempat makan (Pujasera) memiliki keunikan sendiri. Keunikan disini maksudnya adalah ada banyak elemen yang perlu dilibatkan agar menyampaikan layanan tersampaikan kepada pelanggan. Penekanannya tidak hanya menyediakan menu yang original dan memiliki kekhasan cita rasa dan sajian masakan, namun juga aspek seperti permainan harga, diskon, dan promo, tata letak ruang (interior), layanan penunjang seperti WIFI, hiburan musik dan lainnya. Sajian makanan menjadi salah satu kunci berhasilnya penjual ini dalam meningkatkan penjualan. Salama era pandemic masih berlangsung, kunjungan di Kuliner Wisma sangat minim, sehingga penjual pada tiap stan memerlukan strategi bagaimana meningkatkan animo kembali masyarakat dalam menikmati sajian di kuliner di tempat ini. Kegiatan menekankan pada pemberian pemahaman dan pendekatan personal aplikatif pada tiap stan dengan menekankan pada pemahaman sajian makanan (platting, garnish, utensil used, dan lainnya). Sebanyak 28 stan makanan tergabung dalam kuliner wisma dilibatkan dalam proses selama kurang lebih 3 bulan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan signifikan dalam tampilann sajian makanan dan minuman yang mengedepankan konsep pujasera modern yang memperhatikan tidak hanya cita rasa namun estetik makanan tersebut. survei kepuasan pelanggan dilakukan sebangai bentuk evaluasi pengunjunh terhadap hsil kegiatan, dimana hasil survei ini menunjukkan respon positif dari masyarakat.

Abstract

The implementation of service activities is purely using a remote service model (online social media) which in this case uses Whatsapp Group media and Zoom meetings. This is because at the time of the implementation of the Gresik Regency service activity, the Covid-19 red zone was declared an emergency, so in order to support the reduction in the spread of the virus and the number of ODP in the Gresik Regency area, the service activity was decided to use social media online media. This service aims to provide a form of effort that can be made at the village community level in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic at the economic level by utilizing electronic commerce media. The service partners are representatives of the Kedanyang village apparatus which in this case is represented by the village youth organization and the association of PKK women. service activities were decided to use online social media (Whatsapp), Whatsapp groups were used to facilitate communication between the management study program service team and representatives of the Kedanyang village apparatus, in this case represented by the village youth organization and the association of PKK women. Evaluation is to recap the responses, comments, and suggestions from the Kedanyang Village community who are members of the Whatsapp Group. The results of the online questionnaire that have been collected will be recapitulated, grouped, and economic analysis carried out in order to see the economic vulnerability of the community in Kedanyang Village. Furthermore, at the evaluation stage, they will also recap the results of the discussion in the Whatsapp Group. Based on the results of group discussions on Whatsapp and media zoom meetings, facts and information were obtained that the use of electronic commerce media as a form of increasing economic resilience in the Kedanyang Region is possible. However, it should be noted that the number of activities involving economic improvement on a micro scale such as handicrafts, food processing, beverage processing, and others is still very minimal in Kedanyang village.

Abstract

The target MSMEs are MSMEs engaged in culinary, which have eating outlets to sell their sales. Culinary dishes that are the mainstay menu are processed chicken and fish (catfish) which are then fried with crispy seasoning with green chili sauce. Recently MSME partners in this study launched Frozen food products which means that MSME partners think to reach the potential for purchasing food products not only in the form of fresh (eating in place or brought home). Considering the existence of packaging products sold to customers, so this needs attention, especially in the legalization and distribution permit of the product (PIRT). The focus of problem solving on mentoring activities is up to the issuance of NIB and IUMK by the One Door Integrated Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM - TSP) with an online system that uses the site www.oss.go.id, as the first administrative requirement of the UMKM business has a certificate of distribution. Product (PIRT). MSME partners in this study are worth referred to as micro businesses by showing the requirements and supporting evidence obtained during the mentoring period until the exit of the business ID number (NIB). Abstract

Viewing is currently very popular with many people to earn income or as a side job for some people, so many people start by creating new products or innovative products, these products are marketed in various ways and use various strategies. The aim of this service is to provide knowledge and understanding to the public so that when marketing their products they have a simple strategy so that their goods or products can be accepted by consumers. This activity is carried out using an outreach method to people who have goods or products who do not yet know the strategy for marketing their products. The marketing strategy has several ways or methods that can make sales easier. The definition of marketing is a comprehensive, integrated and planned activity carried out by an organization or institution in carrying out business in order to be able to accommodate market demand by creating products with selling value, determining prices, communicating, delivering and exchanging offers that are of value to consumers. clients, partners and the general public. And society is able to increase its competitiveness, if we use products that are already widely used by other people, the competitiveness of our products is higher and the selling power of the product is greater because many people are selling it and it is included in the needs that consumers want.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the delivery process in Modern Retail in tributary companies in Gresik using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method to identify the factors causing delays and propose improvement steps. The methods used include in-depth interviews and direct observation of the delivery process, as well as analysis of the 5 Why and Fishbone Diagram to explore the cause of the problem. The results of the study showed that delivery delays were caused by a lack of driver discipline, sudden permits, suboptimal fleet conditions, as well as external factors such as weather and traffic. This study was limited to the analysis of internal and external factors that influenced delivery in the last six-month period. Implications of the study include recommendations for improving driver discipline through training, the implementation of better fleet maintenance, and the use of technology to monitor traffic and weather conditions. With these measures, it is hoped that the distributor company can improve delivery efficiency, reduce delays, and increase customer satisfaction. This research also contributes to other companies facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Procurement involves numerous activities, consisting of many material and information flows, it is not as simple as to just convey a need from an internal customer to a supplier and then deliver the item to the internal customer. Based on initial observations the author observed several problems in the process of forecasting the demand for general consumables, particularly office stationery. The selection of these consumables is based on their vital role in supporting daily administrative activities within the hospital environment, making them a relevant subject for studying patterns of recurring and consistent demand. Currently, the process of forecasting the demand for general consumables is still carried out in a simple manner, namely by referring to the previous year's usage data and then adding 20% to the projection for the following year. This research is an implementative form of forecasting formulas, so the data required in this research is dominated by secondary data. This study uses the single exponential smoothing forecasting method as the basis for data analysis. Single exponential smoothing (SES) is a simple yet effective time series forecasting technique, in which historical data is treated by assigning exponentially decreasing weights to past observations. The forecasting results indicate that this method is quite effective in generating estimates of office stationery requirements, particularly for items with relatively stable demand patterns. This is evidenced by the low MAPE values for several items, such as F4 60g paper (5.31%), document keeper (5.70%), quarto 100 book (5.82%), folio 100 book (8.65%), and board marker (8.68%). A MAPE value below 10% indicates that the error rate is relatively small, so the forecasting results can be categorized as highly accurate. Conversely, there are several items that show a fairly high MAPE value, above 20%, including F4 70g paper (26.68%), permanent markers (24.21%), clear tape 5 cm (20.12%), and black ballpoint pens (20%). The high MAPE values for these items indicate that the forecasting model is unable to accurately capture demand patterns. This is due to high demand fluctuations and changes in consumption patterns.

Abstract

PT GARAM Segoromadu is a manufacturing company engaged in the salt sector located in Gresik, East Java. The company produces iodized fine salt and non-iodized fine salt. The problem that still occurs at PT GARAM Segoromadu is that there are still product defects in iodized fine salt. Defects that occur such as dirty, blackspot, and mamel. The method used is the Six Sigma method. The purpose of this research is to implement the Six Sigma method to reduce product defects in iodized fine salt. Six Sigma is a tool used to fix problems and improve quality through the DMAIC cycle (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). From the calculation results obtained a decrease in DPMO from 20,061 tons with a level of 3.57 sigma to 13,332 tons with a level of 3.72 sigma.
