Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menggali salah satu tradisi dan kearifan lokal masyarakat Manggarai yaitu roko molas poco. Tradisi ini terbilang unik karena hanya terjadi pada saat pendirian rumah adat (mbaru gendang). Tradisi ini coba dihubungkan oleh peneliti dengan konteks penghargaan terhadap martabat kaum perempuan. Tentu, substansinya adalah penamaan (roko molas poco) tidak serta merta dilakukan. Pasti memilikipendasaran dengan landasan filosofis dan kultural yang sangat kuat. pembongkaran pemahaman ini tidak terlepas dari bagaimana mempersepsikan kaum perempuan Manggarai di tengah kebudayaan kontemporer. Bahwa perempuan merupakan sosok yang mesti dihargai. Kaum perempuan adalah subyek yang mesti mendapat perlakukan setaraharkat dan martabatnya. Oleh karena itu, memaknai kearifan lokal merupakan sebuah imperasi bagi pemahaman baru terhadap kaum perempuan. Salah satunya melalui tradisi roko molas poco dalam kebudayaan Manggarai.

The research is motivated by the use of gadgets, especially smartphones, which are increasingly popular among teenagers, especially high school students in Ruteng city. Using qualitative-descriptive research is considered suitable for smartphone use problems and their impact on social interaction. The Conclusion is (1) the use of smartphones has a positive impact, the presence of smartphones helps facilitating students to interact, the presence of smartphones makes the spectrum of communication or social interaction of students expanded; (2) the negative impact of smartphone use, declining quality of communication and direct face-to-face interaction; (3) in relation to school, smartphones make it easier for students to interact with their peers such as discussing certain assignments or subject matter. Space and time barriers can be overcome by interaction through social media such as WhatsApp and Facebook. (4) Excessive use of smartphones also negatively affects students learning. As admitted by students themselves that the functions offered by smartphones often make students complacent and ignore their responsibilities in learning and completing school assignments.

This paper was conducted to examine the role and strategy of NGOs in the socio-economic empowerment of communities in Manggarai Regency. This study was motivated by concerns about poverty which have become an acute problem in this area. Although various types of government social assistance programs continue to be rolled out and the development paradigm has shifted from a centralized to a decentralized system, the poverty rate remains relatively high. In the midst of this condition, the presence of NGOs is an alternative option and hope. The research used qualitative approaches and case study methods. Data collection was done through interviews and document studies. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman models which consist of data display, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that NGOs in Manggarai Regency has carried out the role of community empowerment in the socio-economic field. The strategies developed by NGOs generally include (1) group-based approaches, (2) changing ways of thinking, (3) participation and capacity building, (4) institutional strengthening for long-term independency. While the challenges encountered by NGOs in carrying out their roles were: (1) minimal capacity of NGO personnel, (2) the lack of institutional capacity in analyzing situations and needs, (3) wrong mindset of society and (4) partnerships with governments that are too bureaucratic..Â

Peralihan penggunaan insektisida berbahan kimia ke penggunaan bahan-bahan organik yang berasal dari tumbuhan dan secara alamiah dapat berfungsi sebagai penolak nyamuk dan sekaligus juga lebih ramah terhadap lingkungan sedang marak dilakukan beberapa tahun belakangan ini. Salah satu contoh tanaman alami yang dapat digunakan sebagai penolak serangga alami adalah bunga sukun jantan (Artocarpus altilis). Mengandung tiga senyawa asam capric, undecanoic dan lauri yang lebih efektif mengusir nyamuk jika dibandingkan Diethyl-meta-tuloamide (DEET), sayangnya bunga sukun jarang diketahui manfaatnya oleh masyarakat dan hanya dianggap sebagai limbah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan bagi masyarakat tentang manfaat bunga sukun dan pengolahannya menjadi penolak nyamuk alami. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini dibuau dalam dua tahapan yaitu sosialisasi manfaat bunga sukun dan pelatihan masyarakat sasaran tentang pengolahan limbah bunga sukun menjadi dupa penolak nyamuk alami. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penolak nyamuk alami yang dibuat dari bunga sukun efektif menghindarkan manusia dari gigitan nyamuk.

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan kreativitas siswa tentang sampah melalui pelatihan daur ulang sampah menjadi benda bernilai. Secara ekologis, manfaat kegiatan ini adalah mengurangi sampah yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan dan merusak lingkungan. Secara ekonomis, kegiatan ini berkontribusi positif untuk mengurangi pengeluaran keluarga dan masyarakat untuk membeli barang yang bisa didaur ulang dari sampah rumah tangga. Dari sisi personal dan sosial, kegiatan ini berfaedah dalam pembentukan karakter peduli sampah dan lingkungan sejak dini pada anak-anak dan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini berlokasi di Desa Golo Ropong dengan peserta 15 orang pelajar. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu sosialisasi program, peningkatan pemahaman siswa, dan pelatihan mengolah kembali sampah menjadi barang bernilai. Sosialisasi program dilakukan dengan memberikan materi di kelompok-kelompok peserta secara interaktif. Pemahaman siswa ditingkatkan melalui pelatihan praktis dan sederhana daur ulang sampah, yaitu mengubah sampah menjadi benda berguna. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lokasi didapatkan bahwa pemahaman siswa untuk mendaur ulang sampah dan mengembangkan ide kreatif mengubah sampah menjadi benda yang bermanfaat semakin meningkat.

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world including Indonesia has had a serious impact on all sectors of human life including the education sector. Everyone is forced to stay at home to break the transmission of Covid-19. Public facilities such as schools were closed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The closure of schools resulted in learning activities moving to a distance learning system by utilizing internet (online) facilities on an untested and unprecedented scale. The aims of this community service activity is to train teachers to be able to make learning videos to support and meet the learning needs of students during the Covid-19 pandemic by utilizing android applications on the teacher's mobile device. The implementation of this PkM activity is carried out in three stages, namely 1) the socialization stage, 2) the simulation stage, and 3) the training and mentoring stage. The results of the activity showed that after training and mentoring, the teacher was able to make learning videos. With instructional videos, teachers and students are helped in implementing learning activities during this pandemic.

Abstrak:Pengaruh Penggunaan Gadget Terhadap Pola Interaksi Sosial Siswa SMA di Kecamatan Langke Rembong. Penelitian di latar belakangi oleh penggunaan gadget khususnya smartphone yang semakin populer di kalangan remaja khususnya pelajar SMA di kota Ruteng.Menggunakanpenelitian kualitatif-deskriptif dianggap cocok untuk masalah penggunaan smartphone dan dampaknya pada interaksi sosial.Diperolehkesimpulan (1) penggunaan smartphoneberdampak positif, kehadiran smartphone membantu mempermudah siswa berinteraksi, kehadiran smartphone membuat spektrum komunikasi atau interaksi sosial siswa diperluas; (2) dampak negatif pengunaan smartphone, menurunnya kualitas komunikasi dan interaksi tatap muka langsung;(3) dalam kaitannya dengan sekolah, smartphone memudahkan siswa dalam berinteraksi dengan teman-temannya seperti berdiskusi tentang tugas atau materi pelajaran tertentu. Hambatan ruang dan waktu bisa diatasi dengan interaksi melaui media sosial seperti whatsApp dan facebook; (4)penggunaan smartphone secara berlebihan juga berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap proses belajar siswa. Sebagaimana diakui oleh siswa sendiri bahwa fungsi-fungsi yang ditawarkan smartphone sering kali membuat siswa terlena dan mengabaikan tanggung jawabnya dalam belajar dan menyelesaikan tugas sekolah.

The 4.0 industrial revolution era requires teachers to have a number of characteristics to arrange an appropriate learning administration, be able to design learning media by utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices wisely, effectively, competently and professionally. However there are still many problems that hamper the implementation of teacher professional competence in the field of ICT. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive or significant effect between the use of ICT devices on improving teacher professional competence. This type of research is correlational with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were35 elementary school teachers. Data were collected through questionnaire technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between the use of ICT devices on increasing the professional competence of group of Elementary School Teachers, with 0.60correlation coefficient. T test results show that tcount>ttable which is 4.31> 2.235. The contribution of ICT tools use to the improvement ofprofessional competence of group of elementary school teachers at Ruteng is 36.05% and 63.95% is influenced by other variables which were not examined by researchers.

Application of Scientific Approach in Primary Schools. The rationale for this research is the discovery of problems related to the low ability of students to present report texts based on observations. based on these problems offered a solution that is the use of a scientific approach, which approach has a characteristic that is a series of processes or stages in learning that must be passed by students. the use of this approach is considered effective to provide solutions to the problems encountered. This approach was chosen because of the recommendations of previous studies. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the use of scientific approaches in elementary schools. this type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The results showed that the use of a scientific approach in learning can be said to be effective. This can be seen in students' progress in preparing reports based on observations. in addition, students follow well the stages of the scientific approach in learning.

The problem in this research was the low social studies learning outcomes of elementary school students. This because the teacher emphasizes more on teacher centered strategies in the learning process, The students only as listeners. The methods and models used by the teacher are not pleasant such as the use of the lecture method, and the text book learning. The purpose of this study was to explain the urgency of the discovery learning model in social studies learning in elementary schools. This type of research was library research. The data sources used in this study were secondary data such as textbooks and the results of previous studies in the form of articles and theses. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by tracing and reviewing various literatures related to this research. The results of this study indicated that the discovery learning model be is very urgent to be applied in the elementary social studies learning process. This was because the discovery learning model can greatly improve the results of learning science social for both teachers and students for, is able to provide ideal guarantees for student maturity so that it can strengthen studentes’ insight and can motivate students to be actively involved in learning
