Abstract

Human Rights (HAM) has achieved a lot of progress as well as a stalemate. The human rights condition at these two points also shows human rights dynamics concerning various dimensional contexts. This article explicitly discusses the significant dimensions of the dynamics of human rights. Based on a critical literature review and practical reflection, this study proposes two three-dimensional analysis models of human rights dynamics at both global and national levels. The first model deals with the historical, theoretical, and practical dimensions of human rights dynamics. The second model explains the normative-philosophical, political, and sociological dimensions of the dynamics of human rights. This article consists of several sections, including an introduction, an analytical framework, the two-dimensional model of human rights dynamics, and a conclusion. Keywords: Human rights, Human rights dynamics, State, R2P, Citizen

Abstract In the construction of a discourse, there is always an element of language that the author erases or removes. The language elements that are applied can be words, phrases, or clauses that occupy certain syntactic functions. The study of the immersion of elements of the Indonesian language is considered urgent considering that until now the pattern of immersion in Indonesian has not been much discussed in linguistic studies, nor has it been standardized in the standard grammar of the Indonesian language. This study aims to describe the pattern of impregnation of Indonesian elements, a case study in the Kompas opinion column. The data collection of this research utilizes the observation method which is applied through reading and note-taking techniques. In data analysis, the content analysis method is used which is applied through several steps, namely inventory, identification, classification, and data description. The results of this study are described as follows. First, in the Kompas opinion column found a pattern of infiltration in the form of categories. At the category level, there is a pattern of penetration in the form of nouns and verbs which are applied cataphorically and anaphorically. Second, in the opinion column of Kompas, there are also patterns of infiltration in coordinative sentences in the form of (1) subject infiltration, (2) subject as well as predicate infiltration, and (3) object penetration. Third, in the opinion column of Kompas, it is revealed that the pattern of embracing language elements in subordinative sentences is in the form of (1) immersion of the subject in the child clause and (2) penetrating the subject in the parent clause. In certain cases, the impingement of subordinate sentences is more complex, namely the occurrence of the subject and the predicate to the subordinate sentences.

Abstract

Since a little over a decade ago, Mining Corp. had come to maintain a challenging role in the presence of the host government and local indigenous community, particularly landowners. The reflection of tensions and social complexities have become apparent in Manggarai, Flores, NTT (an exception to many advanced countries with indigenous communities). Mining Corp. did not cultivated a favourable relationship with the indigenous local communities. In other words, they tend to have expansive destruction in local communities. In recent years, global corporations have been speaking the language of development. While corporations are increasingly being imputed a major development role by multilateral organizations, this remains a controversial topic. Even more controversial is the question of whether corporations make a meaningful contribution to development in conflict situations or the absence of democratic government. Some Corp, such as PT Sumber Jaya Asia, do try to justify their operating in Manggarai with some legal basis from local government. This paper contends local resistance through ecocide phenomenon.

Abstract

Multiculturalism is among the best solutions to social groups' clashes, tensions, and conflicts. It provides an open, fair, and equal political and social policy to all elements in one society. However, multiculturalism strengthens radicalism and terrorism when the attention and respect for social identity are unequal. This article examines multiculturalism's situation, trends, and challenges in the European and Southeast Asian regions. Additionally, the paper elaborates on the challenges of building inclusive spaces in multicultural societies. Data were analyzed using a systematic-critical qualitative review method. Information was sourced from previous studies, reports from international websites, news, and analyses on the condition of multiculturalism in these two regions.

Abstract

This research describes the implementation of the Workshop on Strengthening the Capacity of Innovative and Dedicative Principals in the Forum of Senior High School/Vocational High School Principals in West Manggarai using the Problem-Solving Simulation Model (PSSM). This activity was designed to address the gap in education quality in West Manggarai. The objectives of the workshop were to improve principals' leadership skills, develop contextual solutions to educational problems and build collaborative networks among principals. The workshop was conducted through four systematic stages: Problem Identification, Reflection, Evaluation, and Follow-up. Through the PSSM approach, the principals analyzed problems, developed contextual solutions, and simulated their implementation. The workshop successfully increased the capacity of 42 principals with a 68% increase in understanding of transformational leadership. Participants produced 10 innovative action plans based on the local context and formed five peer mentoring groups for program sustainability. The level of participant satisfaction reached 87% based on the end-of-program evaluation. The collaboration with Universitas Katolik Indonesia Santu Paulus Ruteng plays a strategic role in providing academic assistance and creating a sustainable learning ecosystem to improve the quality of education in West Manggarai.
