Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes of students through a learning model of problem-based learning on the sub-theme energy and change. This research was conducted in class III SD Muhammadiyah 4 Bandung and against the background circumstances of students are lacking in learning outcomes in the learning because teachers still use the learning that is conventional, that is, by using the lecture method, so that the involvement of learners in the learning was minimal. By using the model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning outcomes of students, because, in this model, the students become the center in the process of learning, stimulating learners to think critically, and to deepen their knowledge about what they know and what they need to know to solve the problem. In addition to its model of problem-based learning can also increase the activity and learning outcomes of students, help, develop skills to solve problems, and develop the skills to communicate orally. The conclusions obtained from this study is that the use of the model of problem-based learning can improve learning outcomes of students. Thus, the application of learning model problem based learning in sub-theme energy and amendments can be used as an alternative method of learning to be applied in Elementary School.

Abstract

The background in this study is the low achievement and enthusiasm for mathematics in elementary school. The study uses classroom action research methods by comparing the improvement in student learning outcomes before and after the drill method was applied. The study was conducted at SDN Cibeber 1 in the area of South Cimahi District, Cimahi City. The results of this study are student learning outcomes increased to 52.2% after the drill method was applied. Thus, it can be said that mathematics learning outcomes can improve due to the application of the Drill method to the multiplication material of students in grade II elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student motivation, activity, and learning achievement in learning changes in the appearance of the earth's surface and celestial bodies using the Demonstration method. The use of the Demonstration method is expected to increase student activity in the teaching and learning process so that in the teaching and learning process there is no saturation in teaching and learning activities. Thus, students will be involved physically, emotionally, and intellectually which in turn is expected to change the concept of objects taught by the teacher to be understood by students. This study uses action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four actions, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The target of this research is students in grade IV SDN 024 Coblong, Coblong Subdistrict, Bandung City with 38 students. Data obtained in the form of formative test results and observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of research and analysis found that student achievement has increased from the first cycle of action 1, namely 78.4%, action 2: 88.2%, action 3: 95.35%, action 4: 98.25%. The behavior is 1, which is 95%, action 2: 97.20%, action 3: 98.08%, and action 4: 99.50%.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep macam-macam gaya dalam pelajaran IPA sangatlah penting, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep macam-macam gaya dalam pelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Children Learning in science (CLIS) pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Kesulitan siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsepnya, dan kesulitan guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep macam-macam gaya dalam pelajaran IPA siswa kelas IV SD. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Mix Method dengan desain Sequential Explanatory dimana pengumpulan datanya secara kuantitatif terlebih dahulu kemudian diikuti oleh pengumpulan data secara kualitatif. Untuk mendapatkan data kuantitafif diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest sedangkan untuk data kualitatif diperoleh dari angket, wawancara dan observasi. Dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Children Learning in science (CLIS) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep macam-macam gaya dalam pelajaran IPA siswa kelas IV SD ini berhasil karena adanya peningkatan yang dapat dilihat dari N-Gain Score dimana nilai rata-rata N-Gain Score 0,605 dengan kriteria peningkatan berada pada ranah sedang. Kesulitan siswa dalam penelitian ini adalah menyelesaikan soal tes pada indikator menarik simpulan sedangkan kesulitan guru adalah tidak mudah bagi guru untuk mendorong siswa dalam menyusun sebuah konsep.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of creative thinking of fourth grade students, students' responses to creative thinking skills and teacher constraints in implementing the problem-based learning model. Increasing creative thinking is one of the core competencies in skills that cannot be separated from the 21st century competencies that students must have. This research uses mixed methods with the explanatory sequential design. Research subjects in improving creative thinking in fourth grade elementary school students. The determination of the subject was selected from the results of interviews in the field of one of the elementary schools in West Bandung Regency as many as 26 students. Qualitative data collection techniques by giving pretests and posttests followed by quantitative data collection in the form of student response questionnaires, teacher observations and teacher interviews. The results showed that, the field trial of the use of problem-based learning models to improve creative thinking was included in the good and improved categories. Thus, the use of this problem-based learning model can be used in the learning process to improve the creative thinking of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in every teaching and learning process in schools. In the learning process, various skills are needed for the continuity of the learning process, one of which is the skill of making lesson plans. The skill of a teacher in making lesson plans determines the learning outcomes that will be accepted by students. This study aims to analyze the effect of RADEC-based workshop activities in improving the skills of elementary school teachers to make good lesson plans. This study uses the One Group pretest posttest method with a sample of elementary school teachers in Purwakarta Regency. The instrument used is the result of adaptation of the assessment of the learning implementation plan in the PPG program. There are seven indicators used in the instrument used. The results showed that the RADEC model had an impact on teachers in developing learning planning skills. The average n-gain score obtained from this study was 58 which was categorized as quite effective.
