Abstract

Idea about integration and interconnection of science and the Qur'an is not a new phenomenon in the treasury of Islamic sciences epistemology, because the grand theme of the Qur'an has a transformative and responsive function in answering the dynamics of today's nature problem which requires solving by a saintific-religious approach. In a more specific context to teach science to elementary school students (MI), many urgency benefits for the formation of religious and scientific character of children. Learning science that is designed by integrating and interconnecting science and the Qur'an can be a vehicle laying the groundwork to provide an indept understanding of the connection of the existence of this universe with the Being Substance of the Creator of the universe. When this provision is deeply rooted and forms a belief, and continues until the adult child, the character always "thirsty" towards the science will be transformed into his personality. Fiqur students like this is highly expected, because it can realize the ideals of the creation of scholars Muslim who have the breadth of science, skilled experimenting science, and have religious spiritual depth. The quality of human resources such as this can be the next generation of the nation that is able to contribute positively to the development of the nation and state, especially for the Indonesian nation that philosophizes Pancasila and the Constitution with the main principle on belief in God Almighty

Abstract

This research moved from the problem of the lack of availability of science books (modules) based on the development of science process skills (scienific process) and scientific attitude of students. Generally textbooks that are often used by teachers or students emphasize mastery of science concepts (scientific knowledge), while science process skills (scienific process) and what scientific attitudes to be developed are not clearly defined and detailed, so that the impact on activity and acquisition of student learning outcomes. Based on the description of the above problems, the purpose of this research and development is to produce a product in the form of an experimental module for science in elementary school that based on science process skills (scienific process) and scientific attitudes, expecially in term : Human Circulatory System. The model used refers to Borg and Gall. To assess the feasibility of the module, validation was carried out by experts (material experts, media experts, and linguists) and also involved education practitioners. To assess the attractiveness of the module a trial was conducted, which began with a small group and then in a large group. Furthermore, the process of data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative techniques. The research and development (R D) results are 1) The development step begins with analyzing potential and problems, collecting data / information, designing products, validating products, revising products, conducting product feasibility trials, and revising products again. 2) Based on the results of validation and feasibility tests, the development of the science module experiment for SD / MI based on science process skills (scienific process) and scientific attitudes in the term of the Human Circulatory System successfully meet the level of feasibility and attractiveness, therefore it can be used as teaching material in science learning in elementary school (SD/MI)

Abstract

Improving the quality of Islamic schools in the midst of advances in industrial technology 4.0 is an obligation in education world. This research aimed to explore comprehensive information in order to describe the trends and Islamic elementary schools’ strategies in making changes through capital theory approach for quality improvement in a new perspective in the globalization era. The capital theories aspects are: intellectual, social, spiritual, and financial as an analytical framework to find out how schools are transformed. Three Islamic elementary schools with type of A, B and C criteria have been involved. A qualitative approach has been used and the findings are described according to Milles and Haberman's clausal network model. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The research found that the strategy used by each Islamic elementary school in improving quality were different and strongly influenced by the leader in developing and utilizing the capital existence according to the situation. It can be seen that there is a dominance of one capital aspect that is used to facilitate the other. This presentation is based on the perspective of capital theory in the Indonesian context. In the future, it can be used as a basis for conducting further research in carrying out school transformation more broadly.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the improvement of students' learning liveliness in natural science subject at class IV of state Islamic elementary school (MIN) by applying the Giving Question and Getting Answer learning strategy. The research approach of this research is classroom action research by three action cycles referring to the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subject of this study is the students class IV at MIN 2 Bandar Lampung TA. 2018/2019 as many as 30 students. The data is collected through observation, interview, documentation, and test. Analysis of this study uses qualitative and quantitative data approaches. The research discovery proves that the GQGA strategy is able to improve the students’ liveliness and learning oucomet viewed by three aspects: cooperation, expressing opinion, and problem solving which an average of cycle I is 71.71%, cycle II is increase 82.18%, and cycle III also is increase 88.07% from the standard achievement 80%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the GQGA strategy can improve the students’ learning liveliness in the natural science learning on the theme "caring for environment, the various jobs, and my hero".

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professionalism of early childhood teachers in mastering the material based on academic qualifications and work experience. The approach to research sequential explanatory mixed methods design; The first phase using descriptive quantitative involving 57 teachers, data were collected through a questionnaire, analyzed descriptively and inferentially assisted by SPSS version 26.0. The second phase used a holistic multi-case study involving six school principals, data were collected through in-depth interviews and analysis documents, analyzed interactively with the assistance of Nvivo 12.0. The results showed that there was no difference in teacher professionalism based on academic qualifications and work experience. The second phase finds; teacher professionalism is not only influenced by academic qualifications and work experience, teacher professionalism is also influenced by various professional trainings that have been attended, and prospective teachers who choose the early childhood education programs major do not fully understand the substance of the lecture program related to their professionalism.

Abstract

The implementation of Picture Crossword Puzzle (MCP-G) media model is an alternative to making it easier for teachers to deliver durring pandemic COVID-19. MCP-B can create a more pleasant learning atmosphere and foster active student participation. This study aims to produce learning media products that can support thematic motivation and learning outcomes for fourth-grade students of MI. Product development refers to ADDIE design. The products developed are lesson plans, worksheets, learning media and motivational instruments and learning outcomes tests. The product development stages start from the initial-late analysis, student analysis, material analysis, task analysis, learning objectives analysis, method selection, format selection, expert validity, limited trials, field trials and revisions. The research data was sourced from expert validation sheets, student motivation observation sheets, teacher ability observation sheets in managing learning from the practical side and implementation of MCP-G learning media. The results show that the MCP-B model is feasible and effective to use in supporting motivation and thematic learning outcomes with the theme: "the beauty of diversity". The selection of good and appropriate learning media can make it easier for students to absorb the material presented by the teacher. This condition indicates that the learning media is very influential on learning outcomes according to educational goals. In line with that, this research can be used as an insight for teachers in developing fun and effective learning media, especially in the era of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

4C skills have become part of the current elementary school curriculum, which is expected to improve the quality of education so that graduates are ready to compete in the global world. Student worksheet, based on the RADEC model, is needed as a learning tool that can help participants practice 4C skills. This study aims to develop and validate the Student Worksheet based on the RADEC model on the theme of aerial skills-oriented 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication (4C). This research and development (R&D) use the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was carried out until the development stage or validation stage. The validity of the student worksheet is determined by an assessment of media, materials, and language on a scale of four, validated by twenty-five teachers who have attended the RADEC model workshop for three days. The data obtained were tabulated by calculating the validity of the quantitative and descriptive analysis. The development results show that the student worksheet based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills is declared valid with the calculation results Vh>Vt or Vh> 0.64 and is suitable for use in learning. This research can be used as information on the development and validation of teaching materials, especially student worksheet, based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills in science materials in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauhmana kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC. Metode yang digunakan adalah Survey. Partisipan penelitian adalah guru sekolah dasar yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Purwakarta dan sekitarnya dengan jumlah 32 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh secara online menggunakan angket melalui media google form. Analisis kemampuan guru sekolah dasar dalam membuat pertanyaan pra pembelajaran menggunakan model RADEC  terbagi menjadi 4 indikator yaitu dengan (1) pengetahuan guru tentang pertanyaan prapembelajaran dalam model RADEC, (2) pengetahuan guru tentang pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi melalui pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (3) respon guru dalam membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran, (4) kendala pembuatan pertanyaan prapembelajaran. Berdasarkan rata-rata porsentasi tiap indikator menunjukan porsentasi yang tinggi Adapun Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah guru bukan hanya bertugas sebagai penyampaikan materi saja melainkan harus mampu mengembangkan segala potensi yang ada pada diri siswa. Sebagai bagian dari model RADEC, Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan membuat pertanyaan prapembelajaran.

Abstract

The study aims to produce a Science Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on literacy and numeracy assisted by augmented reality media at the State Islamic Elementary School (MIN) of Bandar Lampung. This development research uses the ADDIE model which consists of five steps, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this research are V class of MIN Bandar Lampung students. Data collection techniques apply to a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Qualitative data is obtained from input from experts/validators when validating material, media, and language. Meanwhile, quantitative data are obtained from a two-sample comparative test t-test and N gain test. Based on the validation results, it has fulfilled several predetermined indicators, namely: a) Content Eligibility with an average value of 3.33; b) Oriented towards the development of LKPD with Literacy content with an average value of 3.28; and, c) Oriented to the Development of LKPD with a numerical content of an average value of 3.31. The linguist validator has also met several language indicators which have been set at 3.40 with a valid assessment category. On the practical aspect, an average value of 3.38 is obtained with the valid category. And the average value of attractiveness based on student responses is 3.27 which is included in the attractive category. This LKPD is interesting because an explanation of the experimental activities and the use of AR media is complemented by how to use it so that work mechanisms/procedures are also presented with props.

Abstract

Teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students in every teaching and learning process in schools. In the learning process, various skills are needed for the continuity of the learning process, one of which is the skill of making lesson plans. The skill of a teacher in making lesson plans determines the learning outcomes that will be accepted by students. This study aims to analyze the effect of RADEC-based workshop activities in improving the skills of elementary school teachers to make good lesson plans. This study uses the One Group pretest posttest method with a sample of elementary school teachers in Purwakarta Regency. The instrument used is the result of adaptation of the assessment of the learning implementation plan in the PPG program. There are seven indicators used in the instrument used. The results showed that the RADEC model had an impact on teachers in developing learning planning skills. The average n-gain score obtained from this study was 58 which was categorized as quite effective.
