Abstract

Background: Washing hands with soap is wrong for school children due to the child's lack of knowledge which is caused by a lack of exposure to information from schools, especially learning materials about proper and correct hand washing. School-age children are an age that is prone to various diseases, such as diarrhoea and worms. in 2018 the number of cases of diarrhoea in East Kolaka was 593. The largest cases of diarrhoea in East Kolaka District were in Lambandia District, with 187 cases of diarrhoea, the majority of which occurred in school-age children. To find out the effect of video and simulation counselling on children's knowledge about washing hands with soap at the Lambandia District Elementary School, East Kolaka. Methods: This study uses a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental research design. This research was conducted in three SDN Lambandia District. The study population was school children with a sample of 70 children who were divided into two experimental groups and one control group. Sampling was done by a proportionate random sampling method. Result: The findings show from statistical tests that there is an effect of video and simulation on children's knowledge. This can be seen from p-value both of them are 0.000 < = 0.05. Conclusion: There was an effect of video screening and simulation on children's knowledge about washing hands with soap at the Lambandia District Elementary School, East Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effect of training using lecture and practice methods with power point presentation media and leaflets on farmers' knowledge in healthy agro-tourism based on agricultural and health education in Lebojaya Village, Konda District, Southeast Sulawesi. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 16 farmers were trained using lecture and practice methods and power point presentation media and leaflets. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon sign rank test. Training material on balanced nutrition and nutritional content and the benefits of corn and carrots for body health. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in farmers' knowledge about balanced nutrition and nutritional content and the benefits of corn and carrots for health. After the training, almost all of the participants' knowledge increased. Where participants who scored above 70 after the training increased by 25%, from 62.5% to 87.5%. The test results showed that there was a significant difference between farmers' knowledge before and after training (p=0.006 <0.05). Conclusion: Nutrition science training using lecture and practice methods, as well as the use of media power point presentations and leaflets have a significant effect on increasing farmers' knowledge in healthy agro-tourism locations based on agricultural and health education in Lebojaya Village, Konda District. Due to the combination of lecture media and practice as well as the use of media, participants gain knowledge through various senses namely the senses of hearing, seeing and experiencing.

Abstract

Background: Covid-19 vaccination coverage is low, especially for the 2nd and 3rd vaccination at the Lampeapi Health Center, Konawe Islands Regency. Therefore it is important to identify a health promotion strategy that can solve the above problems. The purpose of this study is to identify health promotion strategies which include regional policies, atmosphere building and the empowerment process at the Lampeapi Health Center in order to increase vaccination coverage in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Methods: This qualitative research recruited key and main informants which included the head of the health office, the leadership of the puskesmas, health promotion officers and community tokens in the Lampeapi Health Center area. This research was conducted in June 2022 at the Lampeapi Health Center, Konawe Islands District. Results: Regional policies to support the increase in vaccinations, namely accelerating vaccination in target areas; Budget availability for vaccinations; Formation of a Task Force; Imposition of Sanctions; and Availability of health promotion budget, facilities and infrastructure. While fostering the atmosphere includes socialization across sectors; Outreach to the community; Partnership with religious leaders; and build cross-sector communication. For the community empowerment strategy, namely education to the community; Assistance to Covid-19 volunteers; Mapping of Covid-19 vaccination data; forming a Covid-19 Task Force or volunteers; and Partnerships with NGOs or community organizations. Conclusions: The health promotion strategy in order to increase vaccination coverage at the Lampeapi Health Center is carried out through the support of local policies, building a conducive atmosphere, and community empowerment involving volunteers and NGOs.
