Abstract

Sejarah penulisan hadis dan ilmu hadis telah melewati serangkaian fase historis yang sangat panjang. Tulisan ini mengkaji secara khusus alah satu kitab Hadis yaitu kitab hadis al-Jamî’ al-Azhâr fî Hadîts an-Nabi al-Anwâr Karya Imam al-Manawi. Tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa Imam al-Manawi sebagai seorang ulama terkemuka mengumpulkan hadis-hadis nabi dalam hadis al-Jamî’ al-Azhâr fî Hadîts an-Nabi al-Anwâr dan menulisnya dengan menggunakan metode dan sistematika susunan hadis berdasarkan susunan abjad hijaiyah. Hal ini bisa dilihat pada fuhras/indeks kitab setiap juz dari kitab hadis al-Jamî’ al-Azhâr fî Hadîts an-Nabi al-Anwâr. Temanya pun beragam, seperti tauhid, ibadah, akhlak dan hukum. Dalam kitab ini pula al-Imam al-Manawi memuat semua jenis kualitas hadis, baik hadis shahih, hadis hasan, maupun hadis dhaif.  -----------------The history of writing and science of hadith have passed a series of very long phase. This paper examines one of the hadith books, i.e. Hadith al-Jami al-Azhar Hadith an-Nabi by the Imam Anwar al-Manawi. This paper shows that al-Manawi is an eminent scholar who collected the prophet Muhammad’s tradition in his book al-Jami fi al-Azhar al-Hadith al-Nabi al-Anwar and wrote by using various methods and systematical arrangement of traditions based on alphabetical arrangement. This can be seen in indexes (fuhras) book chapters from each book al-Jami fi al-al-hadits al-Anwar of the Prophet. The theme also varied, such as monotheism, worship, morals and law. In this book al Manawi also mentioned about quality of the Prophet’s traditions, both valid hadith, good (hasan) hadith, or false traditions (dhaif).

Abstract

Muhammad Talbi adalah seorang pemikir muslim Afrika Utara. Pendekatan Talbi dalam memahami al-Qurandengan metode penafsirannya didasarkan pada pemahaman atas teks melalui konteks historisnya. Talbikadang-kadang mengacu pada metodenya sebagai sebuah metodologi sejarah atau pembacaan sejarah(qiraah tarikhiyah): ayat-ayat al-Quran seyogyanya ditafsirkan di dalam konteks di mana ayat-ayat ituditurunkan, dan bukan dalam isolasi abstrak dari konteks tersebut. Beberapa contoh yang sebagaimana telahdijelaskan di atas diantaranya masalah pemerintahan dalam Islam, hak-hak perempuan, sanksi terhadap istrioleh seorang suami dan perbudakan bisa membawa kita bagaimana membaca pemikiran Muhammad Talbidalam memahami pesan-pesan al-Quran.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an adalah kalam Allah yang merupakan Mu’jizat yang diturunkan kepada Nabi akhir jaman Muhammad SAW. Tidak ada yang menandingi keindahan bahasa Al qur’an dan keindahan ketika kita melantunkan Al qur’an. Banyak orang yang hatinya tergetar jika di bacakan ayat-ayat Al qur’an, sehingga kemudian dia mendapatkan risalah kebenaran. Al qur’an adalah satu-satunya kitab yang terjaga keasliannya walau telah diturunkan kurang lebih 14 abad yang lalu akan tetapi tetap terjaga dalam satu Bahasa dan satu huruf yang terangkai didalamnya, kosa kata yang indah, Nada dan Langgamnya, Singkat dan padat, Memuaskan Para Pemikir dan Orang kebanyakan, Memuaskan akal dan Jiwa, dan ketepatan maknanya.

Abstract

This paper examines one of Nusantara commentary books entitled Tafsîr al-Azhâr that is written by Hamka. By analyzing the contents of the commentary and tracing the historical roots of the birth of the work, this study shows that Hamka contextualises his interpretation as a criticism against the Sukarno regime. Among the critiques that he poses in his commentary suggest that Sukarno aligns to Communism and the political policies of his administration resonate to the interest of Communist while at the same time are detrimental to that of Muslims. From the historical perspective, there was, in fact, a conflict between Hamka and Sukarno concerning the issue of Communism. In other words, there is a close relationship between Sukarno’s affinity to Communism and Muslim’s conflict with Communists in Indonesia. In the development of tafsîr studies so far, tracing the interpretation material in the context of social criticism is considerably understatement. This is the reason why this study takes this approach. This study suggests that tafsîr (Quranic exegesis) is not just a task of understanding the divine message, but can also be a social critic.

Abstract

In essence, the responsibility of education is a big and important responsibility. Because, in its operational setting, education is the provision of guidance, help and assistance from adults or people responsible for education to immature children. Basically, the responsibility for education starts from the family environment which starts from the child in the womb, then is born, gradually experiences growth and development, until the child becomes an adult who is aware of all his obligations, then the community, school, government and other institutions that have an interest. in education. This article describes the educational responsibilities of parents, teachers and society in order to guide and educate children so that they do not fall into hellfire by encouraging parents to pay attention to their families. So, parental education for the family can be a main and important concern in efforts to form people who believe and are devoted to God Almighty. Responsibility in terms of the Al-Qur'an and hadith explains that the family is responsible for each member of the family. This means that the family must play a role in realizing and making every member of their family into the people that Allah created them to be, namely as 'abdullahs/ servants who always dedicate themselves solely to Allah and become His caliphs in prospering the earth. So if the tasks leading to this direction are not carried out through family education, then Allah will threaten them with the torment of hellfire.

Abstract

The concept of the relationship between mother and child is found in the Koran and Hadith, which are the two main sources of teaching in Islam. The Koran and Hadith describe the relationship between mother and child as one full of affection, sacrifice and continuity of offspring. This understanding provides a moral basis for forming a family that is harmonious and full of religious values. Mothers have the right to be respected and well cared for, while children have the obligation to be filial, respect and care for their mothers. It is hoped that a deep understanding of this balance will be able to create healthy relationships within the family. The application of the values of love, respect and helping each other is expected to be able to form a family environment that reflects Islamic teachings. So that it is able to provide a holistic view of the concept of mother and child in Islam and its relevance in forming a moral and harmonious society

Abstract

Language is a powerful tool for expressing identity, navigating relationships, and addressing cultural complexities, particularly in literary works that explore intricate social dynamics. This study investigates the interplay between language, cultural context, and communication within Amy Tan’s The Bonesetter’s Daughter, emphasizing how speech acts reflect and navigate complex social relationships. Through a socio-pragmatic framework, the research examines dialogues and interactions in the novel to identify illocutionary speech acts and their socio-cultural implications. Utilizing text and content analysis methods, data were collected using the AntConc tool to identify keywords associated with various speech acts, followed by a detailed analysis of the characters' utterances. The findings reveal 499 instances of illocutionary speech acts, categorized into assertive, directive, expressive, commissive, and declarative types as outlined by Searle’s theory. These acts illustrate the characters' efforts to navigate cultural conflicts, identity struggles, and generational tensions, particularly within the mother-daughter dynamic between Ruth and LuLing. The study underscores the role of language in mediating relationships, resolving conflicts, and expressing cultural identity. By providing insights into how speech acts operate within specific social and cultural contexts, this research contributes to the fields of sociolinguistics and literary studies. It highlights the practical application of socio-pragmatic analysis in understanding the relationship between language, culture, and identity in literature.

Abstract

This study explores the use of particles in Ngapak Bumiayu, a Javanese dialect spoken in Bumiayu, Brebes, Central Java, using Michael A.K. Halliday's Systemic Functional Linguistics theory. Data was collected from everyday conversations of native speakers using a descriptive analysis method. The identified particles—kok, lho, kok ya, toh, wis, and bar—each have unique roles in sentence structure and meaning. The ideational metafunction shows that these particles enrich the information in sentences. Without particles, sentences present straightforward facts, but with particles, they carry additional nuances that enhance the message. For the interpersonal metafunction, particle placement affects meaning. Kok can be in any sentence position, conveying surprise or emphasis. Lho emphasizes attention. Kok ya, typically at the beginning or middle, shows wonder and affirmation. Toh, usually at the end, indicates finality. Wis, in the middle or end, signifies completion or agreement. Bar indicates ongoing or recent actions. The textual metafunction highlights particles' role in maintaining text coherence and cohesion. They ensure consistency and continuity in discourse through repetition, serving as connectors (referential cohesion), and maintaining consistent meanings across contexts (lexical cohesion). These particles are essential for structuring and organizing information in sentences and conversations. These findings illustrate the significant role of particles in enhancing communication, structuring information, and providing nuanced meanings in the Ngapak Bumiayu language.

Abstract

As a plural and multicultural country, Indonesia faces significant challenges in achieving harmony and national unity. A society made up of diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religions generally leads to complex issues. In fact, conflicts often revolve around the construction of places of worship, leadership transitions, and other matters. Banuroja Village is a community with diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, yet its people manage to live harmoniously. This research aims to explore the factors that enable the people of Banuroja Village to live harmoniously. It employs a qualitative approach to describe and analyze the social behaviors of the community through the sociological approach of the Quran. The data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the Banuroja community effectively actualizes Quranic values of religious moderation. The community has actualized the value of tawassut{ (moderation) and I'tidal (justice) as well as fostered balanced attitudes toward diversity, as reflected in peaceful and equitable leadership transitions. The embodiment of tasâmuh (tolerance) is seen from the absence of conflicts during the construction of worship houses because of respecting diversity. Furthermore, the emphasis on Shûrâ (consultative decision-making) has reinforced social solidarity within the community. Additionally, the commitment to al-La'unf (non-violence) and I'tirâf al-‘Urf (recognition of local customs) has fostered the development of a peaceful and harmonious social order. The actualization of these Quranic values positions Banuroja Village as a model of successful religious moderation, showcasing a community life free from inter-religious conflict.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas manajemen konflik dari sudut pandang Al-Qur'an, dengan fokus pada kisah Nabi Yusuf, Ibrahim, dan Musa. Di dunia yang penuh dengan konflik, memahami manajemen konflik berdasarkan ajaran Al-Qur'an menawarkan solusi yang relevan dan konstruktif. Melalui analisis literatur, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip manajemen konflik seperti negosiasi, konsultasi, dan tabayyun yang diajarkan dalam Al-Qur'an. Kisah-kisah para Nabi berfungsi sebagai studi kasus untuk menggambarkan penerapan prinsip-prinsip ini. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi yang efektif, kesabaran, pengampunan, dan kemampuan untuk menghadapi tantangan dengan bijak merupakan nilai-nilai penting dalam manajemen konflik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan baru tentang bagaimana ajaran agama dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk menyelesaikan konflik secara damai dan efektif dalam masyarakat modern. Dengan meneliti bagaimana Nabi Yusuf menghadapi kecemburuan dari saudara-saudaranya, Nabi Ibrahim menentang penyembahan berhala, dan Nabi Musa berjuang melawan penindasan Firaun, artikel ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya nilai-nilai seperti keadilan, dialog, dan rekonsiliasi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan pendidikan tentang manajemen konflik berdasarkan nilai-nilai Islam di berbagai komunitas.
