Abstract

Sharia pawnshops are a financial institution that plays an important role in society. One of the products offered is gold investment. This study examines the effect of knowledge and promotions mediated by motivation on interest in investing in gold in sharia pawnshops. The object of the study was carried out in Banda Aceh City with 100 respondents spread across 9 districts. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling technique and analyzed by path analysis model. The results found that there was a positive effect of knowledge and promotion on the motivation to invest in gold. Promotion and investment also have a positive effect on interest in investing in gold. Meanwhile, knowledge does not have a positive effect on interest in gold investment. Other results found that motivation is not able to mediate knowledge of interest in investing in gold. However, knowledge can be mediated by the motivation to invest gold in sharia pawnshops. So, sharia pawnshops must increase promotion and outreach to the community so that the gold investment products offered are increasingly in demand.

Abstract

This research examines how facilitating conditions and social influence affect individuals’ intentions to pay zakat via the QRIS platform, with age considered as a moderating variable in the setting of Baitul Mal Aceh. Anchored in the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the study identifies the main factors driving the adoption of digital zakat payments. A quantitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling to gather data from 120 respondents. The dataset was analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. Results show that both facilitating conditions and social influence have a significant and positive effect on the behavioral intention to adopt QRIS for zakat payments. Moreover, age functions as a moderator: younger participants are more responsive to facilitating conditions, whereas older individuals are more influenced by social pressure. These insights emphasize that successful implementation of QRIS in zakat collection depends on the interaction of enabling infrastructure, social dynamics, and generational differences factors that zakat management institutions should account for in policy and practice.

Abstract

Background: The growth of sharia cooperatives in Aceh following the implementation of Qanun No. 11/2018 Aceh has intensified competition and highlighted the importance of maintaining member loyalty. Factors such as service quality, sharia governance, and institutional image are crucial in influencing satisfaction and sustaining cooperative member loyalty. Method: This study utilized primary data by distributing questionnaires to 113 respondents through cluster sampling, namely sharia cooperatives located in the West, East, and Central Aceh regions. We tested the seven proposed hypotheses using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. Results: The findings of this study indicate that service quality and sharia governance have an effect on the institution's ideals. Likewise, service quality has an effect on member loyalty. However, sharia governance and brand image do not have an effect on member loyalty. The indirect effect also reveals that the brand image cannot influence service quality or sharia governance's effect on member loyalty. The study investigates the mediated effect of sharia governance and service quality on member loyalty. Conclusion: This empirical evidence demonstrates that sharia cooperatives need to improve the quality of their services in order to preserve member loyalty
