Abstract

Background. Hypercholesterolemia is a condition of cholesterol levels increased in the blood. Hypercholesterolemia can cause atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis can cause various cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke.Research Methods. This type of research is using quasi-experimental study with pretest and posttest with control group design. The sample was given 150 g of red dragon fruit pudding every day for 14 days. Data obtained from this study were analyzed using paired test and independent t-test.Research Result. The average total cholesterol level of control group before the research was 290.20 mg / dL while the cholesterol level of intervention group before the research was 290.30 mg / dL. The average total cholesterol level of the control group after intervention was 289.0 mg / dL while the total cholesterol level of the intervention group was 234.20 mg / dL. The reduction in the total cholesterol level of the intervention group was 56.10 mg / dL.Conclusion. Red dragon fruit pudding affects the decrease of total cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Background. In West Nusa Tenggara the highest prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus is Bima (2.5%). In the city of Mataram the prevalence of diabetes mellitus is around 1.7% and ranks 3rd in 10 districts in West Nusa Tenggara. The 2013 Mataram City Health Profile states that DM is the third highest number of infectious diseases in the city of Mataram. In regulating diet, people with Diabetes Mellitus are advised to pay attention to carbohydrate and fiber intake because it is important in controlling blood glucose. One of the fruits that can be used as blood sugar control is Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus) which has the advantage of being rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. Objective: To determine the effect of giving dragon fruit to the decrease in blood glucose levels when patients with Diabetes Mellitus in Tanjung Karang Health Center.Research Methods. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with a pre-post control group design. The subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group that was given 250 grams of red dragon fruit / day and the control group was not given dragon fruit. Giving dragon fruit is done every day for 10 days. GDS level measurements were carried out using the GCU tool. Blood is taken the day before the intervention and one day after the intervention. Statistical analysis using Independent sample t-test, and Paired t-test.Research Result. There was a difference in blood glucose levels at the start and end of the treatment group with p <0.05. it was found that the control group's blood glucose reduction rate was -35.4 mg / dl. The highest reduction in blood glucose in the treatment group was in K7 respondents as much as 130 mg / dl and the highest increase in blood glucose was in K1 respondents as much as 159 mg / dl.Conclusion. There is an effect of giving dragon fruit to the decrease in blood glucose levels when patients with DM in the Tanjung Karang Health Center Work Area.

Abstract

Background: One of the typical signs of diabetes mellitus (DM) is hyperglycemia, which is one medical condition that consists of increasing hormone levels within normal limits. Basic Health Research Results in 2018 DM prevalence in Indonesia increased from 6.9% in 2013 to 8.5% in 2018 (Ministry of Health, 2018). One of the nutritional therapies for the management of diabetes mellitus is fiber consumption. Fruit which contains high fiber, one of which is dragon fruit. Research by Wiardani et al., (2014) provides dragon fruit juice 200 grams of blood glucose levels in DM patients with an average decrease in Prondrial 2 hours Post blood calcium level (2JPP) of 79.1 mg / dL and research by Hidayati (2017) ) by giving red dragon fruit 200 grams of reduction in fasting blood by 19.1 mg / dL.Purpose :To determine the difference in levels of red dragon fruit (hylocereus polyrhizus) against decreasing fasting blood glucose levels of type 2 diabetes patien Method: Research quasy experimental pre post test with control group. Results: The results of the statistical analysis paired with the t-test in the assessment group showed differences in the fasting blood levels of the pretest-posttest with a p value of 0.008 (p <0.05), meaning that it was consistent with contributions related to blood count before and replacement. The results of the independent t-test showed that there was no difference in the difference between fasting blood levels in the advisory group and the control group that discussed the p value of 0.070. (p> 0.05).Conclusion: There is no contribution of giving red dragon fruit milk pudding (Hylocereus polyrhizus) to the reduction of blood glucose levels of type II diabetes mellitus patients.

Abstract

Background: hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in one's blood pressure, wherein systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg on repeated examinations.  Hypertension often occurs in the elderly caused by changes occurring during the aging process that cause the walls of blood vessels to undergo thickening and hardening so that it becomes stiff, the diameter of the cavity of the blood vessels shrink or Narrows. One form of non-pharmacological treatment in overcoming hypertension is by herbal medicine, namely by utilizing the content of potassium in fruits and vegetables, such as bananas and tomatoes containing high potassium that can decrease blood pressure, especially in elderly groups.Research Methods: Type of Quasy-experimental research with Pretest- Posttest with Control Group Draft. The samples in this study were elderly hypertension as many as 18 people with random techniques divided into 2 groups. Group intervention with the giving of tomato banana pudding ambon as much as 175 gram/day for 6 days, while the control group is not given treatment.Research Result: There is a decrease in systolic blood pressure as much as 17.8 mmHg (P = 0,002) and diastolic blood pressure as much as 8.9 mmHg (P = 0,347) in the intervention group.Conclusio: There is an influence on the systolic blood pressure but there is no  influence  on  diastolic blood  pressure  before  and  after  given  banana tomato pudding Ambon.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently the fourth country with the largest number of DM patients in the world. Functional food is beneficial for the health of DM patients, for example bananas and soybeans. Kepok bananas contain dietary fiber inulin and antioxidants (β carotene). Soybeans contain isoflavones, fiber, and proteins in the form of amino acids arginine and glycine. This study aims to look at the effect of giving functional drinks a mixture of soybean and banana milk on decreasing fasting blood glucose levels in type II DM patients. Type of Quasy-experimental research with pre test and post test with control group design. Subjects were taken using the Simple Random Sampling method and the subjects involved until the end of the study were 26 people. The intervention was carried out for 14 days and given as much as 330 ml. The equality of the subject characteristics of the two groups was analyzed using the chy squere test, and the effect of giving intervention materials on decreasing blood glucose levels was tested by independent t test. The results of the study were characteristics (84.6%) aged 50-60 years, (53.8%) female gender, (57.1%) having a family history of disease, 58.4% using glibenclamide anti-hyperglycemic drugs and BMI average in the risk category. . Result Δ It is known that there is an effect of giving functional drinks on decreasing fasting blood glucose levels where the average change is 11.5 mg / dl (p = 0.03).

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan negara dengan penderita Diabetes Mellitus (DM) terbanyak ke 6 di dunia dimana jumlah penderita DM mencapai 10,3 juta jiwa. Penatalaksanaan DM meliputi edukasi, farmakologi, terapi gizi medis (TGM). Penerapan TGM dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah terstandar yaitu Proses Asuhan Gizi Terstandar (PAGT). Tujuan : untuk mengetahui gambaran penatalaksanaan proses asuhan gizi terstandar pada pasien DM tipe 2. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan observasional deskriptif dengan desain case study yang menggambarkan pelaksanaan proses asuhan gizi terstandar oleh rumah sakit terhadap pasien DM tipe 2. Hasil Penelitian: Dilihat dari proses pengkajian gizi, diperoleh hasil bahwa pasien sering mengkomsumsi kopi dengan tambahan gula yaitu sebanyak 2 kali dalam sehari, ditunjang dengan hasil laboratorium menunjukkan kadar gula darah puasa dan glukosa sewaktu tinggi, berdasarkan fisik/klinis menunjukkan tekanan darah dan suhu pasien tinggi. Hasil diagnosis gizi menunjukkan asupan oral tidak adekuat dan terdapat perubahan hasil nilai laboratorium terkait nilai gizi berkaitan dengan penyakit hiperglikemia DM tipe 2. Intervensi yang diberikan yaitu pemberian Diet DM dengan prinsip 3 J (tepat jadual, jenis dan jumlah), serta pemberian konseling gizi. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan selama 3 hari menunjukkan asupan meningkat dan hasil pengukuran tekanan darah dan suhu normal. Kesimpulan: Pasien DM Tipe 2 telah dilakukan proses asuhan gizi terstandar sesuai dengan empat langkah yakni pengkajian, diagnosis gizi, intervensi dan monitoring evaluasi gizi.

Abstract

Gout is a disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals in the body and disturbances in purine metabolism. Gout is caused by two main factors, namely inadequate excretion of uric acid from the kidneys and increased production of uric acid in the body due to purine metabolism disorders. Management of gout can be carried out non-pharmacologically, namely by increasing the consumption of foods that are high in vitamin C and fiber and antioxidants such as red guava and tomatoes.  To determine the effect of giving red guava (Psidium guajava Linn) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) mixed juice on uric acid levels in hyperuricemia patients in outpatient care in the working area of ​​the Langgudu Health Center. This research is a Quasy eksperimental research. The sampel came from the Langgudu District, Bima Regency. Juice intervention was given for seven consecutive days, once per day, in the morning as much as 350 ml of 200 grams of red guava, 50 grams tomato dan 100 ml of mineral water. The results were analyzed using the paired t-test. in the treatment group there was a decrease in uric acid levels of 1,3 mg/dl. Mean while, the difference in decreased uric acid levels in the group was 0,7 mg/dl. There was an effect of decreasing uric acid levels after being given a mixed guava juice intervention red seeds and tomatoes in hyperuricemia patients in the working area of the Langgudu Publik Health Center.   Asam urat merupakan suatu penyakit yang diakibatkan karena penimbunan kristal monosodium urat di dalam tubuh dan adanya gangguan metabolisme pada purin. Penatalaksanaan asam urat dapat dilakukan secara non farmakologi yaitu dengan cara meningkatkan konsumsi makanan yang tinggi vitamin C dan serat serta antioksidan seperti buah jambu biji merah dan buah tomat maka dari itu peneliti ingin membuat jus campuran jambu biji merah dan buah tomat yang tinggi vitamin C. Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian juice campuran jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava Linn) dan buah Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum) terhadap kadar asam urat pasien hiperurisemia pada pasien rawat jalan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Langgudu, Kabupaten Bima, NTB. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Quasy eksperimental. Sampel berasal dari Puskesmas Langgudu berjumlah 20 sampel. Sampel dibedakan menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Intervensi jus diberikan selama tujuh hari berturut – turut, satu kali pemberian perhari, diberikan pada pagi hari sebanyak 350 ml dari 200 gram jambu biji merah, 50 gram tomat dan 100 ml air mineral. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-berpasangan. Hasil penelitian bahwa pada kelompok perlakuan terjadi penurunan kadar asam urat sebesar 1,3 mg/dl. Sedangkan selisih penurunan kadar asam urat pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,7 mg/dl.  Terdapat pengaruh penurunan kadar asam urat setelah diberikan intervensi jus campuran jambu biji merah dan buah tomat pada pasien hiperurisemia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Langgudu.

Latar Belakang : Diabetes Melitus merupakan suatu penyakit kronis ketika kadar glukosa dalam tubuh melebihi batas normal. Salah satu penyebab gula darah yang tinggi adalah pola makan yang salah disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan pasien terhadap makanan dalam hal ini pasien perlu mendapatkan sesi konseling gizi yang memiliki tujuan untuk membantu pasien dalam mengambil keputusan, termasuk dalam mengatur pola makan yang mematuhi prinsip 3J (jumlah, jadwal, dan jenis). Penting juga untuk mempertimbangkan prinsip keragaman pangan, aktivitas fisik, perilaku hidup sehat, serta menjaga berat badan yang seimbang dalam memenuhi kebutuhan gizi. sehingga asupan makan pasien menjadi lebih baik. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui gambaran asupan makan pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 usai menjalani sesi konseling gizi selama masa perawatan di ruang rawat inap. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif observasional untuk mengkaji tentang gambaran asupan makan pasien yang menderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 setelah menjalani sesi konseling gizi selama masa perawatan di ruang rawat inap. Hasil : Tingkat konsumsi Ny. B memiliki rata-rata energi yaitu 759,7 kkal, protein 45,4 gram, lemak 25,2 gram, dan karbohidrat 94,5 gram. Ny.S rata-rata energi yaitu 912,4 kkal, protein52,6 gram, lemak 26,1 gram, dan karbohidrat 150,7 gram dan Ny. K rata-rata tingkat konsumsi energi yaitu 822 kkal, protein 46,7 gram, lemak 25,9 gram, dan karbohidrat 106,8 gram. Kesimpulan : Setelah mendapatkan konseling gizi, pengetahuan pasien menjadi lebih baik dalam hal memilih makanan yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil identifikasi asupan makan pasien Ny. B dan N. S memiliki rata-rata asupan makan baik.   Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease when glucose levels in the body exceed normal limits. One of the causes of high blood sugar is an incorrect eating pattern caused by the patient's lack of knowledge about food, in this case, the patient needs to receive a nutritional counseling session which aims to help the patient make decisions, including managing a diet that adheres to the 3J principles (quantity, schedule, and type). It is also essential to consider the principles of food diversity, physical activity, healthy living behavior, and maintaining a balanced body weight to meet nutritional needs. So that the patient's food intake becomes better. Research Objective: To determine the description of food intake of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients after undergoing nutritional counseling sessions during the treatment period in the inpatient room. Research Method: The study used a descriptive observational method to examine the description of the food intake of patients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus after undergoing nutritional counseling sessions during the treatment period in the inpatient room. Results: Mrs. B has an average energy of 759.7 kcal, 45.4 grams of protein, 25.2 grams of fat, and 94.5 grams of carbohydrates. Mrs. S's average energy is 912.4 kcal, protein 52.6 grams, fat 26.1 grams, carbohydrates 150.7 grams, and Mrs. The intermediate level of energy consumption is 822 kcal, 46.7 grams of protein, 25.9 grams of fat, and 106.8 grams of carbohydrates. Conclusion: After receiving nutritional counseling, the patient's knowledge became better in choosing food, as indicated by identifying the patient's food intake. Mrs. B and N. S have an excellent average food intake

Abstract

Jumlah penderita hipertensi yang terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Hipertensi merupakan keadaan dimana tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan diastolik ≥90 mmHg. Salah satu cara mengatasi hipertensi adalah mengkonsumsi pangan fungsional yaitu serbuk banasoy yang kaya akan kalium dan magnesium sebagai pengontrol tekanan darah. Tujuan Penelitian : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pemberian Serbuk “Banasoy” Pisang Ambon (Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum linnaeus) dan Kacang Kedelai (Glyciline max) terhadap Pasien Hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Gerung. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Non Equivalent Control Group Designs, dengan rancangan penelitian Pretest-Posttest with control group design. Jumlah sampel penelitian 20 orang yang diperoleh dari rumus Lameshow dan dipilih secara Purposive sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis 30 g bubuk banasoy selama 7 hari.Hasil Penelitian : Terdapat Penurunan tekanan darah sistolik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok intervensi yaitu rata-rata 161±11,97 mmHg menjadi 147,00±11,60 mmHg dengan selisih 14,00 mmHg dan penurunan tekanan darah diastolik dengan rata-rata  sebelum 103,00±10,59 mmHg menjadi 92,00±10,33 mmHg dengan selisih 11,00 mmHg. Kesimpulan : Tidak ada pengaruh pemberian serbuk banasoy terhadap tekanan darah pasien hipertensi.

Abstract

Background: According to Riskesdas data in 2018, the prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in the population aged ≥15 years on the national average increased by 2% from 2013 (Kemenkes RI 2018).  Eating arrangements are essential in the management of type II DM.  Eating arrangements in type II DM patients follow the 3J principle: the right amount, type, and meal schedule.  Several factors influence dietary compliance, including the patient's knowledge related to the disease, namely DM, self-motivation from within the patient, and support from the patient's family.   Based on the background, the researcher is interested in conducting research -on the influence of knowledge, self-motivation, and family support on the accuracy of the amount, type, and schedule of meals in outpatient type II DM patients at Pagesangan Health Center‖. Research Methods: The study was quantitative.    The research subjects were 22 people.  Questionnaires were used to measure knowledge, self-motivation, and family support. In addition, the 24-hour Recall Form is used to measure the accuracy of the amount, type, and meal schedule. The analysis used was a Chi-Square analysis test to determine the effect of the variables studied. Research Result: There is no effect of knowledge, self-motivation, and family support on the accuracy of the amount of food, type of food, and meal schedule in type II DM patients at Pagesangan Health Center. Conclusion: There is no effect of knowledge, self-motivation, and family support on the accuracy of the amount of food, type of food, and meal schedule in type II DM patients at Pagesangan Health Center.
