Abstract

Comprehensive field in the course of Monera and Protista is in need of revision in terms of delivering the course. The comprehensive course has contributed to difficulties faced by students to find focus in the course’s learning purposes. Consequently, students lost motivation in learning the course, lack of media used in delivering the course has also contributed to the lack of student motivation and comprehension when learning the course. Therefore, technology innovation needs to be explored to create innovation and creativity for the learning process. Innovation explored in this research is project-based learning (PjBL) model integration so that solution could be discovered to solve problems through producing products of learning, as collaboration results of educators and students. PjBL model integration creates mindmap learning media which aims to assist students improving their learning on Monera and Protista course. This research is an action research conducted in three classes. Both qualitative and quantitative data gathered in this research. Results show that student creativity is majorly rated as highly improved in this research. In addition, the action research also improve student collaboration skills. Abstrak. Ruang lingkup yang luas dari pokok bahasan Taksonomi Monera membutuhkan perbaikan di dalam proses penyampaian pembelajarannya. Luasnya pokok bahasan tersebut juga membuat kesulitan mahasiswa  dalam memfokuskan kebermaknaan dari tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Akibatnya mahasiswa kurang berminat mempelajarinya ditambah lagi media yang digunakan hanya berupa media cetak Biologi dan berbagai Power Point yang belum terperbaharui sehingga menimbulkan kejenuhan dan kurangnya pemahaman akan materi yang dipelajari. Untuk itu kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi perlu digali terus untuk menciptakan Inovasi dan nilai kreatifitas dalam suatu proses pembelajaran . Inovasi yang diupayakan diantaranya menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBl dalam proses pembelajaran. Melalui model PjBL diharapakan menemukan solusi dari suatu permasalahan dengan mengkonversi menjadi suatu produk hasil pembelajaran yang nyata dihasilkan melalui suatu perencanaan yang matang dari kolaborasi dosen dan mahasiswa. Penerapan dari model PjBL ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa mind map (peta pikiran) yang bertujuan membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam memahami materi salah satunya adalah pada materi Taksonomi Monera. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus di setiap kelasnya. yang berjumlah 3 kelas. Data diperoleh dalam bentuk kuantitatif dan kwalitatif. Hasil penelitian pada siklus 1 mahasiswa cenderung pasif karena hanya mencari video seputar asal muasal kehidupaan sehingga mahasiswa tidak tertarik menggali kekurangan dan kelebihan dari vedio pembelajaran. Akibatnya inovasi dan kreatifitasnya sangat kurang terlihat.dengan mengidentifikasi kreativitas mahasiswa didalam menganalisis kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi melalui pebuatan Mindmap Monera dan Protista. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kreativitas mahasiswa meningkat dengan baik malalui inisiatif yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini. Sebagai tambahan, kemampuan kolaborasi mahasiswa pun dinilai meningkat.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is that it is expected to be a reference for teachers to find out the interests and attitudes of students at the state junior high school or madrasah tsanawiyah level on the respiratory system material. This study aims to determine how the relationship between interests and attitudes of students at a state junior high school  and a state madrasah tsanawiyah in Batanghari on the respiratory system material. The instrument used was a questionnaire which was distributed to students using descriptive quantitative methods. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, using normality, homogeneity, and regression tests. In the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the variables of interest in learning and the attitudes of students in learning the respiratory system material for both students. This is indicated by the table of regression test results, which shows that the B value is positive, other evidence is also shown from the t-count value which is larger and has a positive value compared to the t-table value which indicates the interest variable has a relationship with the attitude variable. Therefore, it is very important to develop students' interest in the respiratory system material in order to improve students' learning attitudes, so that it can help improve their learning outcomes.
