This study aims to analyze the style of language, the language style criticize, efficient use of vocabulary, and persuasive speech delivered in a series of speeches Jeffrie Geovanie a tribute to West Sumatra. The method used is descriptive method and the object of this research is a series of speeches Jeffrie Geovanie a tribute to West Sumatra Padang Ekspres and Singgalang. Based on the analysis we can conclude that the style of language used in the serial Geovanie Jeffrie speech is stylistic hyperbole, personification, epithet, sarcasm, and irony. The author is more inclined to criticize realist style, symbolic, gothic, allegory, and proletarian. In the utilization of the vocabulary used by the author in the form of utilization of scientific vocabulary, popular words, greeting words and idioms. Writers tend to be able to convince and can touch the reader in his speech (speech persuasive).

One of the media used to read news is digital-based media. However, in digital media, we often encounter errors in Indonesian. We still often encounter errors, syntax errors, and morphological errors when communicating or reading news in various media. Therefore, these errors will be the main discussion in this article. The main purpose of writing this article is to explain errors, morphological errors, and language syntax errors in internet-based news media. In addition, another goal is to provide improvements that are by the writing of Indonesian writing. The descriptive method is used as the main method in analysing Indonesian writing errors. The method of collecting data or information is done by searching, reading, and understanding the content of news on the internet. The results of the analysis of errors in the use of Indonesian in internet-based news media found that there were still many media that made mistakes starting from the news title to the content of the news that was written.

The aim is to find out the writing on the banner to get pictures or photos on the banner to see in this case which vocabulary and sentences are wrong on the banner and to get information that can be processed as material for making scientific articles, which consists of the basic theory of the language used is far from the norm. This case is caused by the lack of public understanding of language and writing in the use of words according to the KBBI which uses vocabulary and is structured in sentences. In producing data sources obtained from the surrounding environment to be able to take data such as interviews with people who are responsive around the environment to obtain accurate data as material for scientific works. The perfection and correctness of linguistic basics in language use errors were found around the banner, from the results of research in the use of descriptive methods in language use errors found in research as objects and research subjects on banners in data recording is observed in case studies used in writing the results of the study indicate that the writing on the banner uses informal language in the form of various written languages depending on the inappropriate writing style. According to the rules. From the results of the study, it was found that there was a lot of error information on language users on banners in grouping sentences and vocabulary based on factual information in processing data as an object of analysis in solving Indonesian.

The Indonesian language course is one of the general subjects that must be taught at the tertiary level, either at the Diploma or Bachelor level. This rule of course has been stated in Article 35 paragraph 3 of Law number 12 of 2002 which is related to learning in higher education. Based on the article, the Indonesian language courses at the university level have changed their names, namely to become general compulsory subjects (MKWU) which were originally called the General Basic Courses (MKDU). It can be said that a substance in the study of Indonesian general courses will always focus on an emphasis on skills in the use of Indonesian as a language known as the national language. However, in accordance with the existing truth, in doing academic writing which is an effort that can be made in obtaining a national literacy program as has happened at this time which is really not in accordance with the intended expectations. Of course, in reality this will have an impact on students at the high school level who will enter the university level who will of course study Indonesian language courses. Seeing in the problems that will arise in the learning process, of course, it is very necessary, namely learning model that will begin to lead to how the ability of the student in carrying out recovery from an event that is in learning. Of course, the learning model as proposed is a guide from various sources by referring to the main points of a problem that will be faced, of course, by lecturers of the Indonesian General Course.

Current technological advances have a huge effect on children's personality. This can be proven in various ways, one of which is the use of language. At present, the use of standard language is replaced by the words called alay or lebay language. Another thing that can be observed is the fading or loss of a sense of nationalism, and the spirit of struggle. A more worrying problem is the Internet Addiction Disorder—children cannot physically stop checking Facebook, playing online games excessively, and even worse, downloading and watching pornographic videos on YouTube. As a civilized and cultured nation, such situations are clearly very unfavorable for the future of the nation, especially its future generations, who are expected to be intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and socially smart. In this context, serious efforts from all components of the nation to build a "collective awareness" to restore the lost character of the nation are highly expected. One of the ways to do this is internalizing moral values ??through literature. Through literature, children from an early age can do intense learning on moral values so that children indirectly have positive behaviors and habits through a process of appreciation and creation of literary work.

Abstrak Penulisan karya tulis ilmiah jenis penelitian tindakan kelas telah menjadi sebuah kebutuhan dasar bagi para guru sekolah sebagai salah satu syarat dalam pengurusan kenaikkan pangkat dan golongan untuk setiap guru. Guru dituntut untuk mampu meneliti di dalam kelasnya dan memecahkan permasalahan yang terjadi di dalam kelasnya sendiri dengan menggunakan berbagai media dan sarana yang kreatif. Maka dari itu, pemerintah menetapkan kenaikan pangkat dan golongan tenaga pendidik wajib dengan melakukan penelitian. Berdasarkan pengamatan tim Pengabdi pengabdian terhadap para guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama di kota Batam, fenomena penelitian tindakan kelas bagi para guru untuk kenaikan pangkat mereka menarik minat tim Pengabdi pengabdian untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian yang bersifat pembinaan pada guru-guru komunitas MGMP mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kecamatan Sekupang, kota Batam. Tentunya hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan para guru yaitu sebagai ajang pembelajaran untuk menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah yang berguna dalam Pengabdian kenaikan pangkat dan golongan mereka,kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menambah pemahaman dan pengetahuan para guru terhadap karya tulis ilmiah dan mengasah kemampuan dan skill penulisan karya tulis ilmiah jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Dari kegiatan pembinaan ini juga diharapkan agar para guru mampu terhindar dari plagiarisme dimana banyak ditemukan kasus plagiarisme pada karya tulis ilmiah usulan kenaikan pangkat guru. Out put dari kegiatan ini adalah proposal penelitian tindakan kelas yang dibuat oleh guru-guru komunitas MGMP mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sebagai peserta pembinaan.

Translation does not only translate from the source language (ST) to the target language (TT) because if it is done, the translation results or (TT) will not be accepted by the target language user and will not have the same effect as the source language. This is called the concept of equivalence. Equivalence is a problem that can not only be accepted by users of the target language which is also in accordance with the context of the culture, customs and habits of the local community, but this concept is essentially the result of the translated text having the same impact between the source language and the target language. This article analyzed the concept of theoretical and practical equivalence of translation from English to Indonesian or vice versa. The purpose of writing this article is to reveal the equivalence of translation and at the same time reveal translation errors that often occur in society. The data collection method used in this article is SBLC or free-to-talk (Sudaryanto, 1993). While the data analysis method is equivalent which was also written by the same expert.

Novel as a kind of literary that widely discussed by the public, especially for certain people who care and love towards literature. Novel can not be separated from the elements, they are intrinsic and extrinsic elements. Intrinsic elements as building of novel which covering the characterizations, themes and message,storyline, background, style, and viewpoints. Talking about the intrinsic elements of the novel, especially regarding the characterizations of the important element in literature. Characterizations belong to the naming issue, characterization, physical state, mental state, and the character. Eventually, the characterizations become a combination of character and disposition. This journal aims to describe the tendency of the characterizations contained in the novel Bumi Cintaby Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Characters and the physical state of the characters in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy described and developed analytic and dramatic. Analytically, namely the direct author elaborated on the personality or characters, the author mentions that the figure pertinacious, stubborn, loving, and so on. While dramatic, the draftsman is not dispositive told directly by selecting names of characters, through physical depiction and through dialogue. Based on the data analysis and discussion of the conclusions of this study, it can be described as follows. First, the character Ayyas more highlighted in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Second, the physical state Ayyas less portrayed as the main character in the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy so the physical of Ayyasis not handsome and ugly. Third, the supporting cast of characters in the novel Bumi Cintaby Habiburrahman El Shirazy can help to clarify the character of protagonist character. Fourth, the physical state of the novel Bumi Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy is highlighted so that researcher can determines the physical state of the supporting cast as a whole.

A name as part of a language used as a marker of a person's identity. The name will also show the culture of the owner of the name. For example, if you hear the names Johannes, Markus, Samsul, Pardomuan, Rumondang, Sujono and Paijo, it will at least give us an idea of the religion or ethnicity of the owners of these names. In this case, the author will try to uncover the naming system on the Batak Toba ethnic group. In Batak Toba culture itself the naming system is given to a person more than once according to the status of the individual. From birth to death, a person will get several names. The purpose of this study is to describe or describe the Batak Toba ethnic naming system. Data collection is done by capable methods, notes, and records. The capable method of fishing technique is used to dig up data from informants. The data that has been obtained is recorded and simultaneously recorded. For this method of ability the author selected two informants who were 62 years old. The naming system in batak toba culture is (1) naming in the period before acquiring offspring; (2) Giving a name before being given the real name (prename), (3) Goar Sihadakdanahon (real name / since birth). In goar sihadakdanahon there are several examples of naming taken from the names of the week found in huria Christian Batak Protestant, especially for those who adhere to Christianity. The names are Trinitatis, Letare, Judika, Rogate, Advent, Exaudi, Sebtu Egatima, Seksagesima, Estomihi, Invokatif, Renimiscere, Okuli, Palmarum, Quatimodogenic, Nisericordiasdomini, Jubilate, Kantate, Ephipanias, and Pentekosta, (4) Panggoaran (name of the eldest child/grandson), (5) Goar-goar (nickname), (6) Marga (family name/relative) (7) Naming by Origin or place of birth.

Bahasa Indonesia has developed rapidly. Bahasa Indonesia has been taught in many countries and used in written or spoken context, formally and informally. As one of government departments, Batam’s Department of Transportation certainly has to take part in promoting the proper use of Bahasa Indonesia. Unfortunately, there are a lot of problems faced by the official of Batam’s Department of Transportation. The problems in written context can be seen in the letter, announcement, or other written information issued by this department. In spoken context, the problems can be seen in the context of politeness used by the official. These problems then are tried to be solved by the community service team through this community service program. This program is aimed at reducing the problems faced by the official in using Bahasa Indonesia. This program adopted Experience Based Education Approach which rely on knowledge and experience sharing. The result of this community service shows that this program has successfully become a means of self reflection and conceptualization of proper use of Bahasa Indonesia which further enable the participant to analyze the mistakes made in using Bahasa Indonesia. This result is then expected to be one of solutions to problems faced by the officials in using Bahasa Indonesia.
