Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi dan komposisi substrat jerami padi, ampas tebu, dan tandan kosong kelapa sawit untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan jamur tiram putih. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 10 perlakuan dan 10 kali ulangan yaitu media serbuk gergaji yang dikombinasikan dengan jerami padi sebanyak 25% (B), 50% (C), 75% (D), ampas tebu sebanyak 25% (E), 50% (F), 75% (G) dan tandan kosong kelapa sawit sebanyak 25% (H), 50% (I), 75% (J). Kontrol (A) serbuk gergaji sebanyak 83%. Data meliputi waktu munculnya miselium (hari), waktu munculnya pin head (hari). Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap non faktorial, data dianalisis dengan Anova, dilanjutkan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Rata-rata paling cepat munculnya miselium perlakuan B (3,70), D (3,80), C (3,90) hari. Munculnya pin head paling cepat pada perlakuan B (34) hari, D (35) dan C (36) hari. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah substrat kombinasi jerami padi dan serbuk gergaji merupakan substrat yang paling cepat munculnya miselium dan munculnya pin head. Dengan komposisi media sebesar 25% media tambahan jerami padi mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan jamur tiram putih.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengukuran kadar protein, lipid dan karbohidrat dalam jamur merang telah dilakukan pada Desember 2015 hingga Februari 2016 di desa Lamkeuneueng, kecamatan Darussalam, AcehBesar dan di laboratorium penguji Balai Riset dan Standarisasi Industri (BARISTAND), Banda Aceh.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Objek yangdikaji berupa jamur merang yang diinokulasikan pada 9 kombinasi media dan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Sampel yang dianalisis pada stasium telur. Analisis protein menggunakan metode Kjeldahl, analisis lipid dengan metode soxhlet dan analisis karbohidrat dengan metode Luff-Schoorl. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis of varians (ANOVA). Kadar protein jamur merang tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan menggunakan media kombinasi 68% tandan kosong kelapa sawit, 5% jerami dan 15% ampas tebu. Kadar lipid tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan menggunakan 98% ampas tebu, sedangkan kadar karbohidrat tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan 98% jerami. Hasil analisis varian (α = 95%) diketahui bahwa perlakuan perbedaan komposisi media tumbuh yang diberikan tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kandungan protein, lipid dan juga karbohidrat dalam jamur merang.Kata Kunci: Jamur Merang (Volvariella volvacea), Kombinasi Media, Protein, Lipid dan Karbohidrat

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Upaya Peningkatan Keterampilan Memecahkan Masalah pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan Melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada bulan Mei 2014 di MAN ModelBanda Aceh.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa sebelum dengan sesudah diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain kontrol grup tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 240 siswa, sampelnya dipilih secara acak sebanyak 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes uraian untuk keterampilan memecahkan masalah.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes kemampuan awal (pretes) dan tes kemampuan akhir (postes).Data di analisis dengan menggunakan uji-t.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di MAN Model Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The fossil energy reservation decreases day by day, this situation impacted to the   energy crises especially fuel energy which is increasing in the price on over the world. The scientists/researchers are trying to develop the renewable energy (renewable fuel) as the energy  alternative, one of these called biodiesel. Taking the benefit from Jatropha curcas’ seed as raw  material         for the fuel is one of the alternative ways to reduce the fuel demand and also can save the  countries’   foreign exchange. J. curcas’ oil is renewable fuel and non edible oil, so that it will not  compete with oil   consumption, such as palm oil, corn oil, etc. The combination between Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) (1-                   2 ppm) and Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) (0,5 and 1 ppm) for            micro propagation of Castrol oil plant (Jatropha curcas L.) was tried to induce the callus formation by using the meristem shoot as the explants. The result showed that the combination of NAA 1.5  ppm and BAP 0,5 ppm gave the best result for the callus formation.

Abstract

Dendrobium is one of the most commercial orchids. In Vitro technique is one of solution to fulfill the market demand of Dendrobium. Organic matters, such as coconut water, and activated charcoal are often given to in vitro medium to regenerate orchids callus. The addition of activated charcoal is not only adsorbing toxic substances but also organic matters. The aimof this researchistofindthe best combination for callus regeneration medium. The research was conducted at the Biological Cell and Molecular Laboratory, Mathematics and Natural Science Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh since March to November 2013. The method used is experimental with Completely Randomized Factorial Design with two factor; treatments of coconut water and activated charcoal. The result showed that the combinationof 150mL/Lcoconut waterand2,0g/Lactivated charcoal is the best resultbecauseit is the onlytreatment that have capability in producingplantletswithin60days.

Abstract

Numerous previous studies have proven the efficacy of dodecanoic acid contained by VCO as an antimicrobial, especially antiviral. The global urgency of COVID-19 treatment caused by the 2019-nCoV virus has prompted many researchers around the world to seek effective drugs to cure this infectious disease. Based on the claim that dodecanoic acid and its derivatives can be used as an antiviral, this study aims to determine the levels of VCO dodecanoic acid produced from the traditional yeast fermentation of Aceh, Indonesia. The making of VCO through fermentation with the addition of starter yeast as much as 10% in coconut milk. Analysis of dodecanoic acid levels was performed using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). The results showed that the composition of dodecanoic acid in VCO-pe was higher than VCO-ti. VCO-pe contains about 44.23% dodecanoic acid, while VCO-ti contains about 43.63% dodecanoic acid. The composition of dodecanoic acid contained in VCO-pe was higher than VCO-ti. The composition of dodecanoic acid in VCO has met APCC standards, namely 43.0% -53.0%. These results could append new information about the application of dodecanoic acid in VCO as an antiviral candidate against 2019-nCoV which causes the COVID-19 outbreak.Keywords: antimicrobial, coronavirus, COVID-19, levels of lauric acid, virgin coconut oil
