Abstract

This research looks at how teenagers who work as content creators view their future orientation and career planning in life. This research is a type of qualitative research with phenomenological methods. The data collection methods used are interviews and observations. Researchers use purposive sampling techniques, data analysis techniques used by preparing data, reading the entire data, coding data, applying the results of data coding into themes to be analyzed, presenting themes in the form of narratives and interpreting data. The results showed that the four subjects, namely subjects S, N, P, and A, had different future orientations and career planning even though they had the same profession as content creators. Subjects S, P, and A have sufficient experience in professional fields such as business deals so that all three subjects have a thorough preparation for this. Meanwhile, in subject N, the biggest factor that is seen is his enthusiastic motivation in his new profession as a content creator who still needs time and opportunities in various business opportunities in accordance with his goals in the future. Penelitian ini melihat bagaimana remaja yang berprofesi sebagai content creator memandang orientasi masa depan dan perencanaan karir dalam hidupnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu dengan mempersiapkan data, membaca keseluruhan data, meng-coding data, menerapkan hasil coding data menjadi tema-tema yang akan dianalisis, menyajikan tema-tema dalam bentuk narasi dan melakukan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat subjek yaitu subjek S, N, P, dan A memiliki orientasi masa depan dan perencanaan karir yang berbeda-beda meski memiliki profesi yang sama sebagai content creator. Subjek S, P, dan A memiliki pengalaman yang cukup dalam bidang profesional seperti kesepakatan bisnis sehingga ketiga subjek memiliki persiapan yang matang akan hal ini. Sedangkan pada subjek N faktor terbesar yang terlihat adalah motivasinya yang antusias dalam profesi barunya sebagai content creator yang masih butuh waktu dan kesempatan dalam berbagai peluang bisnis sesuai dengan tujuannya di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 demands that human resources have quality in various aspects of life so that they can continue to compete in employment. Based on this, human resources must have work readiness in order to be able to face the changes that occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of personality development training as a step in increasing work readiness of students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda in facing the industrial revolution 4.0. This research uses one group pretest posttest design. The subjects involved in this study were 30 students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda. Data were collected using a work readiness scale. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results show that personality development training is effective in increasing the level of work readiness of students of SMK Negeri 5 Samarinda
