Abstract

Wound healing is a complex physiological response from living systems for physical, chemical, mechanical or thermal injury, where cells and matrix components act in rhythm to facilitate wound regeneration and restore tissue integrity. The skin is a complex organ consisting of the epidermis, dermis, and complementary skin, including hair follicles and sebaceous glands besides that the skin is also known as the largest organ in the body and plays several important roles ranging from regulating temperature, preventing infection and also a very dynamic organ which continually replaces cells, the depth of damage to the skin, both superficial and partial, can affect the length and amount of use of wound dressing material so that wound healing requires an appropriate environment and skill ability in selecting topical dressings to improve the healing process that is suitable for each type wounds, the right and innovative healing stage is estimated to heal within 2-8 weeks. This literature study aims to determine the benefits of topical cream extract of hylocereus polyrhizus 7.5% on wound healing. Search was done using pubMed, cochrane, google scholar and secondary search data published from 1990 to 2017. 7.5% red dragon fruit (EBNM) contains antioxidants, flavonoid phlyphenols which can increase collagen synthesis in wound healing besides seeds dragon fruit is able to relieve flasks and keep the skin moisture smooth due to the content of linoleic acid. Every 1 gram of Red Dragon Fruit contains 8.3 mg of total flavonoids and 10.8 mg of total phenol. Red Dragon Fruit (BNM) with high fiber, low in calories, and rich in antioxidants. Red Dragon Fruit Extract (EBNM) 7.5% is better at repairing granulation tissue and epithelial tissue, so it has the potential to be used as a wound healing therapy.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease, and specific treatments are needed in order to control blood glucose. In addition to pharmacological therapy, non-pharmacology therapy also takes an important role to control blood glucose levels and should be done regularly. Brisk walking is one example of physical activity which included in non-pharmacology therapy and can improve body expenditure. This activity can help DM patient to control their blood glucose level within the normal range. The physical activity of Brisk Walking, which is one type of exercise that can maintain blood sugar levels within the normal range, especially in people with Diabetes Mellitus. This study aimed to determine the effect of Brisk Walking on the blood glucose level of DM patients at Tamalenrea Health Center Makassar City. This study adopted a quasy experiment and a one-group pre-post test design. A total of 16 respondents were selected purposively based on the determined criteria. Data analysis of the difference of blood sugar level between the treatment and control was carried out by using the Spearman correlation test with SPSS version of 21. The difference was significant with the value of p < 0.05. The results showed that the physical activity of Brisk Walking could control blood sugar levels. Statistical analysis showed that the average blood sugar content was significantly lower in patients practicing Brisk Walking (blood sugar level <200 mg/dl)(176.06%) than the control (blood sugar level > 200 mg/dl) (218.81%). So it can be concluded that by doing physical activity Brisk Walking can control blood glucose levels.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis which spreads through the air (Airborne disease).symptoms of cough with phlegm for 2 weeks or more.Disease prevalenceTB (Tuberculosis)as many as 845,000 with a death rate reaching 98,000 cases, treatment coverage is only 67%, several factors cause unhealthy housing, education and non-compliance with treatment inutritional indicators, immune levels, greatly influence the quality of life of tuberculosis sufferers so that there is a need to increase self-efficacy in managing the disease,with education about the infectious disease tuberculosis The research method used was pre-experimental with a one group pre-test and post-test design with a sample size of 36 people. The instrument we used was a pre- and post-questionnaire and provided intervention in the form of health education. The results of the research showed that after health education was carried out, the Negative Ranks data showed that respondents' scores from pre-post 3 respondents experienced a decrease in self-efficacy regarding tuberculosis treatment after health education, while the positive ranks data showed that 12 respondents' scores from pre-post experienced an increase. Self-efficacy towards tuberculosis treatment after health education, and the tie data shows that 21 respondents got a fixed score from pre-post after health education. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p value = (0.020) <α (0.05), and so The alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The conclusion is that there is an influence of health education on increasing self-efficacy in the treatment of tuberculosis sufferers at the Tamalanrea Makassar Community Health Center
