Abstract

AbstrakProgram Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Ipteks bagi Masyarakat (IbM) bertema ”Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Melalui Pelatihan Pencarian dan Pemanfaatan Sumber Pembelajaran Terbuka (OER) Berbahasa Inggris dari Internet bagi Guru-Guru SMA Taruna Terpadu – Bogor Center School, Bogor” bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru-guru SMA Taruna Terpadu – Bogor Center School, Bogor dalam memanfaatkan sumber-sumber pembelajaran terbuka (OER) di Internet untuk mendukung pembelajaran siswa di kelas. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mitra yaitu kelompok guru-guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dan guru-guru mata pelajaran lainnya di SMA tersebut. Kegiatan dimulai dengan kunjungan awal untuk menganalisis situasi dan kebutuhan guru-guru di lokasi. Kegiatan IbM difokuskan pada peningkatan kompetensi guru-guru SMA tersebut dalam pencarian dan pemanfaatan sumber-sumber pembelajaran terbuka (OER). Luaran kegiatan berupa laporan tentang unjuk kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan sumber-sumber pembelajaran terbuka (OER) dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pelatihan dilanjutkan dengan monitoring dan konsultasi untuk menindaklanjuti hasil pelatihan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan guru-guru SMA tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas.Kata kunci: OER, Sumber Pembelajaran Terbuka, Abdimas UT

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan judul “IbM Pengembangan Taman Baca Digital sebagai Sumber Belajar bagi Masyarakat Pesona 2 Cilebut Barat Kabupaten Bogor” ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan dan meningkatkan minat baca dan literasi masyarakat khususnya yang berada di lingkungan mitra yaitu di Pesona 2, Desa Cilebut Barat, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mitra yang terdiri dari orang tua, pemuda, remaja, dan anak-anak di lingkungan mitra. Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan kunjungan awal untuk menganalisis situasi dan kebutuhan masyarakat di lokasi. Dari hasil kunjungan berhasil diidentifikasi dan disepakati bahwa kegiatan Abdimas difokuskan pada pengembangan taman baca masyarakat (TBM) konvensional berbasis buku cetak. Namun, ketika memasuki bulan Maret 2020, sesuai dengan pengumuman dari Pemerintah Republik Indonesia yang menyatakan bahwa Indonesia juga mengalami pandemi Covid-19 dan mulai diberlakukan pembatasan sosial berskala besar (PSBB), maka perencanaan awal berubah menjadi taman baca digital masyarakat (TBDM) berbasis teknologi paperless. Monitoring dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan Abdimas dilakukan di akhir kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat mitra antusias mengikuti kegiatan di TBDM dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Mayoritas para pengunjung TBDM adalah para anak usia sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama, meskipun pada beberapa kesempatan ada pengunjung yang berasal dari latar belakang guru sekolah menengah kejuruan, mahasiswa, dan pekerja.

Abstract

This study was aimed to explore the urgency of using audiobook in general course learning as a form of distance learning manifestation. This research was conducted descriptively. The research subjects involved in this study were students at the Open University. A total of 294 respondents were selected through the purposive sampling technique. This study used a closed questionnaire created and modified by the researcher based on an exploratory structure and also used a theoretical basis on the use of audiobooks in learning. The results show that most respondents agreed that the use of audiobooks in learning is a positive breakthrough that can arouse their interest and interest in being active in learning. In addition, respondents also agreed that the use of this audiobook must be strengthened by various important elements such as the material to be delivered, the selected voice actors, and the duration of time to be used. The audiobook is feasible learning media for those who cannot directly read the module and can be used in any situation so that the urgency is even greater if it is done in distance learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to identify the move structure of English abstracts of students’ thesis of a State University in public administration, management, fisheries management, and mathematics education programs, compare the consistency of these cross-disciplinary English abstracts with Bathia’s (1993) four-move structure and Swales & Feak’s (2004) five-move structure, and identify the preferred verb tense used of each move in the English abstracts of the students’ thesis. This study employed qualitative case study. Forty (40) English abstracts (10 from each discipline) were collected and analyzed. This study reveals that A-M-R move structure is the most frequent abstract move structure used in every discipline across the four disciplines with proportion 35%. Only 15% abstracts are in line with Swales & Feak’s (2004) five-move structures, and only 4 (10%) abstracts are in line with Bhatia’s (1993) four-move structure. The present tense and past tense are used in each move across the four disciplines.

Abstract

A TRAINING OF THE UTILIZATION OF STUDENT NEED-BASED LEARNING MEDIA FOR BABUSSALAM AL-QUR'AN EDUCATION KINDERGARTEN (AEK) BOGOR TEACHERS. This community service program entitled "A Training of the Utilization of Student Need-Based Learning Media for Babussalam Al-Qur'an Education Kindergarten (AEK) Bogor Teachers" aims to improve the ability of Babussalam AEK teachers in Cilebut Barat Village, Bogor Regency, Jawa Barat in developing instructional media in compliance with the needs of students. This activity involved partners, namely the teachers and students of Babussalam AEK. This activity employed training method. The activity started with an initial visit to analyze the situation and needs of the teachers at the site. From the results of the visit, it was agreed that this activity was focused on increasing the ability of teachers in developing instructional media according to student needs. This activity held four meetings. Monitoring and assessment to follow up on the results of PkM activities is carried out at the end of the activity. The results show that after going through community service activities, the teachers are able to understand and implement the theory and techniques of developing learning media based on student needs.

Abstract

Disasters that occur in an area result in the interruption of the learning process there frequently. It is caused by the damage to facilities and infrastructure or the psychological condition of the affected community that has not recovered. It becomes the background of the importance of post-disaster learning guidebooks. This study aims to see the readiness of teachers in implementing post-disaster learning. A total of 71 teachers selected using purposive sampling participated in filling out the teacher readiness questionnaire. On the one hand, the results showed that most teachers were ready to implement the learning guidebook. On the other hand, teachers should consider readiness factors more specifically because these are supposed to improve their performance in post-disaster learning.AbstrakBencana yang terjadi di suatu daerah seringkali mengakibatkan terputusnya proses pembelajaran di lokasi tersebut. Hal ini disebabkan baik karena rusaknya fasilitas sarana dan prasarana atau belum membaiknya kondisi psikologis orang-orang yang terdampak. Hal inilah yang kemudian melatar-belakangi pentingnya buku panduan pembelajaran pasca bencana. Studi ini bertujuan untuk melihat kesiapan guru dalam mengimplementasikan pem-belajaran pasca bencana. Sebanyak 71 orang guru yang dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling berpartisipasi dalam pengisian kuesioner kesiapan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru sudah siap untuk meng-implementasikan buku panduan pembelajaran tersebut. Di sisi lain, guru harus mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor kesiapan secara lebih khusus karena ini dianggap akan meningkatkan performa mereka dalam melakukan pembelajaran pasca bencana.

Abstract

IMPROVING ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS OF CHILDREN IN PEMULUNG VILLAGE, CIPUTAT, TANGERANG SELATAN. This community service program began with an initial discussion to identify the needs of children in Pemulung village. Based on the analysis, it was identified and agreed that the community service would be focused on improving English skills for children through fun learning activities. This program aimed to increase the knowledge of children about the importance of English, provide a fun English learning experience for children, and improve their English language skills. The partners of this program were 36 children aged 5-10 years old and six volunteers from Pos Solidaritas Umat (PSU) LDK Syahid. The programs were conducted by the team in four meetings through presentations from the instructor, small group discussions, and English practices. Furthermore, monitoring and evaluation of these activities were carried out at the end of the programs. The evaluation results show that the partners from PSU LDK Syahid were satisfied with the activities in the program. Besides, most children got enough scores on the program's final test.

Abstract

Pada jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD), media pembelajaran merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran. Salah satu jenis media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik usia anak PAUD adalah media pembelajaran menggambar atau mewarnai. Berangkat dari pemahaman tersebut, program pengabdian masyarakat (PkM) ini bekerjasama dengan Taman Kanak-kanak Islamic Kids Corner (IKC) Bogor dengan melakukan analisis kebutuhan. Hasil identifikasi menyepakati bahwa kegiatan PkM difokuskan pada pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis mewarnai pada media bird house painting kit, windmill coloring, finger family puppet, dan plushie keychain coloring media. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM menunjukkan bahwa dari empat kali pelatihan dengan guru TK IKC, guru sudah mampu mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis mewarnai bersama siswa dengan memanfaatkan media bird house painting kit, windmill coloring, finger family puppet, dan plushie keychain coloring media. Guru dan siswa sangat antusias dan aktif mengikuti setiap rangkaian kegiatan PkM. At the early childhood education (PAUD) level, learning media is crucial for teachers in carrying out the learning process. One type of learning media that fits the age characteristics of PAUD children is drawing or coloring learning media. Departing from this understanding, this community service program (PkM) collaborates with Islamic Kids Corner (IKC) Bogor Kindergarten by conducting a needs analysis. The identification results agreed that PkM activities were focused on developing coloring-based learning media on the bird house painting kit, windmill coloring, finger family puppet, and plushie keychain coloring media. The results of the implementation of PkM activities show that from the four times of training with IKC Kindergarten teachers, the teachers have been able to develop and utilize coloring-based learning media with students by utilizing the bird house painting kit, windmill coloring, finger family puppet, and plushie keychain painting kit media. The teachers and students were enthusiastic and active in participating in each series of PkM activities.

Abstract

Wilayah Kabupaten Bogor khususnya Desa Kuripan, Kecamatan Ciseeng terdapat beberapa wilayah yang berpotensi sebagai destinasi wisata alam, namun keindahan alam di sekitar desa belum digarap sesuai peruntukkannya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemetaan rintisan wisata melalui pemotretan kelestarian alam pedesaan sepanjang daerah aliran Sungai Cisadane, bukit, dan tebing yang berkontur alami di desa Kuripan, kabupaten Bogor. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode pemetaan menggunakan teknologi drone (pesawat kecil tanpa awak) yang memiliki kamera dan kemampuan untuk melakukan pemotretan geografis dari ketinggian. Kegiatan PkM ini menghasilkan beberapa titik area potensi wisata di desa Kuripan yang dapat dijadikan lokasi wisata baru. In Bogor regency area, especially Kuripan village, Ciseeng district, there are several areas that have the potential to become natural tourist destinations, but the natural beauty around the village has not been worked out according to its designation. This activity aims to map tourism pilots by taking pictures of rural nature conservation along the Cisadane River basin, hills and naturally contoured cliffs in Kuripan village, Bogor regency. The method of carrying out activities employed a mapping method using drone technology (small unmanned aircraft) which has a camera and the ability to carry out geographical photography from a height. This community service activity resulted in several points of tourism potential areas in Kuripan village which could be used as new tourist sites.

Abstract

Asmat is one of the tribes and districts in Papua which has long been a tourism destination for domestic and foreign tourists. This research focuses on ethnic tourism and aims to explore the tourism destination evolutionary cycle and host perceptions of tourism development in the setting of the Asmat ethnic community in Papua. Apart from that, this research also aims to examine the factors that influence tourists' intentions to visit Asmat destinations. This research uses two approaches, qualitative and quantitative. Data was collected through observation, interviews and surveys. Meanwhile, the data is processed using content analysis for qualitative data, and multiple regression analysis for quantitative data.
