Abstract

Information systems are an example of implementing the use of technology at this time where systems are built on a computerized basis so as to facilitate or simplify human work in the economic, social, political, health and even in the education sector, there are many information systems built to support educational development or more precisely in development learning, as is the case with many learning-based streaming videos or tutorials, both tutorials for soft skill development and hard skill development, but some problems can be seen from video streaming information systems that are widely spread on internet media that it is still relatively rare to get streaming videos that focus on learning in certain fields so that it is difficult to carry out self-development to concentrate on certain fields such as focusing on the field of computer science learning. Therefore, to facilitate video-based learning, researchers have developed a computer science-based video streaming information system.

Abstract

The issuance of sailing permits at the Belawan Harbormaster and Main Port Authority Office (KSOP) still faces various obstacles, particularly related to the accumulation of application files, irregular queues, and long document processing times. These problems impact service efficiency and user satisfaction. This study aims to design and implement a web-based information system that applies the First In First Out (FIFO) method to improve the effectiveness of the sailing permit issuance process. The study uses a Waterfall approach, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and functional testing using Blackbox Testing. The results show that the application of the FIFO method to the web-based system is able to organize the service flow more fairly based on the chronological order of submissions, thereby reducing the risk of service discrimination and minimizing input errors that previously often occurred in manual processes. The system is also able to accelerate the process of verification, data validation, and printing of permits, resulting in more efficient service times. In addition, transparency of the service process is increased through real-time monitoring of application status. Overall, the information system developed has been proven to improve service quality and public trust in the performance of KSOP Belawan

Abstract

The process of selecting scholarship recipients at SMK MEDAN still faces issues of subjectivity and inefficiency due to manual procedures. This study aims to develop a scholarship decision support system based on the SMART (Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique) method within the Decision Support System (DSS) framework to enhance objectivity and transparency in decision-making. This research employs a quantitative approach within an applied research framework using real student data based on criteria such as academic achievement, parents’ income, number of dependents, and attendance. The results indicate that the SMART method effectively generates a consistent multi-criteria ranking model, where the top candidate achieves a preference score of 0.833, equivalent to an 83.3% eligibility level. The developed system improves decision quality through more objective and efficient educational decision optimization. The main contribution lies in integrating SMART with real data into an application-based system, offering a more transparent and practical approach compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah membuka peluang strategis dalam penerapan sistem smart home guna mengoptimalkan efisiensi konsumsi energi listrik di sektor residensial. Namun, kompetensi siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam bidang IoT dan manajemen energi masih perlu ditingkatkan agar selaras dengan tuntutan Industri 4.0 dan kebijakan transisi energi nasional. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat melalui Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan konseptual dan keterampilan teknis siswa dalam merancang serta mengimplementasikan sistem smart home berbasis IoT untuk mendukung efisiensi energi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 23 Mei 2026 di SMK PAB 8 Sampali dengan melibatkan sebanyak 19 siswa sebagai peserta. Metode yang diterapkan mencakup penyampaian materi teoritis, demonstrasi, praktik langsung (hands-on training), pendampingan teknis, serta evaluasi menggunakan instrumen pre-test, post-test, dan kuesioner kepuasan bersekala Likert. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata peserta dari 50,0 pada pre-test menjadi 90,0 pada post-test (skala 0–100), yang merepresentasikan peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 40 poin persentase. Tingkat kepuasan peserta mencapai 90,5%, mengindikasikan relevansi dan efektivitas program terhadap kebutuhan pembelajaran vokasi. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan smart home berbasis IoT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi digital, kesadaran konservasi energi, dan kesiapan siswa menghadapi transformasi teknologi industri, sehingga layak diadopsi sebagai model pembelajaran vokasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Ulasan pengguna terhadap layanan Goride di Google Playstore merupakan sumber data krusial untuk evaluasi kualitas layanan, namun analisis manual terhadap volume data besar tidak efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem klasifikasi sentimen otomatis menggunakan metode Support Vector Machine (SVM) untuk mengkategorikan ulasan pengguna Goride menjadi sentimen positif atau negatif. Sebanyak 659 ulasan dari periode Januari Desember 2024 dianalisis melalui serangkaian tahapan pra-pemrosesan data, pelabelan data, dan ekstraksi fitur menggunakan Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF). Model SVM dioptimalkan menggunakan GridSearchCV mencapai performa puncak dengan akurasi 87,88%, presisi 66,67%, recall 85,71%, dan F1-Score 75,00% pada konfigurasi terbaik (C=0.1, kernel linear). Hasil ini mengonfirmasi bahwa SVM merupakan metode yang efektif dan tangguh untuk analisis sentimen pada ulasan layanan transportasi daring, serta menyediakan alat praktis yang berpotensi mendukung pengambilan keputusan strategis berbasis data untuk peningkatan layanan Gojek.

Abstract

The introduction of hijaiyah letters in early childhood is an important stage in building the basis for learning the Qur'an. This research aims to develop an interactive game called Al-Dhaki which is designed to help parents and early childhood education teachers in introducing hijaiyah letters to children in an interesting and effective way. This game is designed using quantitative research methods to analyze user needs, with a 5W+1H approach (What, Why, Who, When, Where, and How) in data collection and analysis. The results of the study show that game-based interactive learning media can increase children's interest in learning and simplify the process of recognizing hijaiyah letters. Al-Dhaki is developed in the form of an application file (APK) that can be installed on Android devices, making it easily accessible to users. The game is equipped with interactive features, such as sounds, animations, and simple quizzes, to increase children's engagement in learning. With the presence of Al-Dhaki, it is hoped that the process of recognizing hijaiyah letters will be more fun and effective, as well as providing practical solutions for parents and PAUD teachers in supporting the development of religious literacy in early childhood.
