Abstract

Most students consider mathematics is a difficult subject, and it becomes a challenge for the teachers to teach the subject in a good way. Therefore, future mathematics teachers need self-efficacy in teaching the subject. This research aims to find out the effectivity of field experience practice to increase teaching self-efficacy in 15 students of Mathematics Education Program, Teaching and Education Departement of Universitas Pekalongan,  Semester VII 2017/2018 period. This research implemented experiment method with the one group pretest-posttest design. Teaching self-efficacy variable was measured by Teaching Self-Efficacy Scale which was tested to 105 students of Teaching and Education Departement Universitas Pekalongan semester VII, the result of aplha croncbach reliability coefficient was 0,966. This research showed a significant increase in teaching self-efficacy mean for 23,76%, with the significance of 0,001 (p<0,05). Further analysis for the aspects of teaching self-efficacy showed that magnitude aspect was increase for 26,73% (p<0,05) generality aspect was increase for 26,73% (p<0,05), and strength aspect was increase for 26,73% (p<0,05). In conclusion, field experience practice could significantly increase teaching self-efficacy of mathematics education students.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan masa yang unik karena merupakan periode transisi di mana individu mengalami perubahan secara fisik maupun psikologis dari seorang anak menuju dewasa. Layanan kesehatan bagi remaja sakit harus diperlakukan dalam dua aspek, yaitu perlakuan bahwa mereka masih anak dengan hak yang melekat pada dirinya dengan ketentuan tentang perwalian; dan perlakuan sebagai sosok yang sudah menjelang dewasa dengan beberapa hak yang mulai menyertai. Layanan kesehatan bagi remaja sangat kompleks dan melibatkan banyak professional kesehatan maupun non kesehatan. Penanganan yang salah atau kurang tepat akan berakibat yang kurang menyenangkan bahkan dapat berakibat buruk bagi kesehatan remaja. Permasalahan yang sering timbul pada remaja yaitu risiko gangguan jiwa/mental pada remaja. Remaja Karang Taruna Bina Karya Remaja Desa Sumurjomblangbogo Kabupaten Pekalongan menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam lingkup kesehatan. Solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu melalui edukasi peningkatan kesehatan terkait dengan pengguanan pemahaman mengenai kesehatan mental dan pengelolaan stress. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2023 dan dihadiri oleh 21 orang peserta. Hasil yang didapat, peserta memahami pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental dan penanganan dini menghadapi stress sehari-hari. Pada kegiatan ini, peserta antusias dan aktif bertanya pada tiap sesi edukasi. Secara umum, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta kegiatan terkait risiko gangguan jiwa/mental pada remaja setelah pemberian edukasi.

Abstract

Karcis-delay is a speech education card media that can be used to improve the speaking skills of speech delayed children. The purpose of this research is to 1) describe the analysis of Delayed Activity Ticket (Karcis-Delay) needs, 2) describe the design of Delayed Activity Ticket (Karcis-Delay) media product, and 3) describe the validation results of experts on the development of Delayed Activity Ticket (Karcis-Delay) media as an alternative speech therapy for children with speech delay disorders. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). Data in this study were collected using observation methods, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and interviews. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Delayed Activity Tickets (Karcis-Delay) are needed as speech education media for children with speech delay, (2) the design of Delayed Activity Tickets (Karcis-Delay) is created according to the analysis of content needs, focusing on daily activity cards and their causes, and (3) the expert validation conducted includes media expert validation, language expert validation, and child psychology expert validation. Based on the expert validation results, it can be concluded that Delayed Activity Tickets (Karcis-Delay) "Daily Activities" are feasible as speech education media for children with speech delay.

Abstract

Bullying is a critical global public health issue with well-documented impacts on adolescent mental health. In Indonesia, particularly in Java and Sumatra, the high prevalence of bullying presents a significant threat to youth, who are especially vulnerable during their developmental years. This paper explores the relationship between bullying and suicidal behaviors—namely suicidal considerations, planning, and attempts—among adolescents in these regions. A quantitative research design using both bivariate and multivariate statistical techniques, comprising a sample of 7,391 students sourced from the Global School Health Survey 2015, indicates that adolescents who experience bullying are significantly more likely to engage in suicidal tendencies including suicidal considerations, planning, and attempts. The findings emphasise the necessity for targeted interventions to mitigate bullying and promote mental health for adolescents. The paper concludes with recommendations for anti-bullying policies, mental health interventions and further research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak dari Ketakutan akan Ketinggalan Online (Fear of Missing Out – FoMO Online) terhadap kesehatan mental, khususnya depresi, kecemasan, dan stres, di kalangan mahasiswa di Universitas Pekalongan, Indonesia. Peningkatan penggunaan media sosial berkaitan dengan peningkatan tekanan emosional, terutama di kalangan anak muda, melalui mekanisme seperti perbandingan sosial dan stres digital. FoMO Online, sebuah fenomena kontemporer yang ditandai dengan kebutuhan obsesif untuk tetap terhubung, memiliki keterkaitan dengan penggunaan media sosial yang bermasalah dan penurunan kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, melakukan survei kepada 116 siswa menggunakan dua instrumen utama: Skala FoMO Online dan Skala DASS-42. Regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara FoMO Online dan tiga variabel kesehatan mental. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-random convenience sampling. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa FoMO secara signifikan memprediksi depresi (R² = 0.132), kecemasan (R² = 0.157), dan stres (R² = 0.275). Temuan ini sejalan dengan literatur yang ada yang menghubungkan FoMO dengan kelelahan media sosial, penggunaan teknologi yang bermasalah, dan penurunan harga diri.
