Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) and Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) to infrastructure investment in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province. Using panel data this study explores the relationship between regional fiscal variables and the allocation of capital expenditures for infrastructure development. The analytical methods employed include panel data regression with fixed effects and random effects to ensure the accuracy of the results.The findings show that PAD has a significant positive contribution to infrastructure investment, reflecting the local government's ability to optimize local revenue sources for development. Meanwhile, DBH also shows a positive impact, albeit with lower significance compared to PAD. These findings indicate that while fiscal transfers from the central government are important, strengthening the local revenue base plays a more dominant role in driving infrastructure investment.The study suggests the importance of managing and enhancing PAD as a key strategy in supporting regional infrastructure development. Additionally, it highlights the need for policies that promote efficiency and transparency in the use of DBH to yield a more significant impact on infrastructure development in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of regional original income and capital expenditure on the human development index in the districts/cities of West Sumatra in 2016-2021. The object of this research is the district/city government of West Sumatra. The data used is secondary data taken from reports on the realization of local government revenues at the West Sumatra Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The type of data used is panel data. The population and sample are 19 districts/cities of West Sumatra using the total sampling technique. The results of the study show that Regional Original Income and Capital Expenditures have a significant effect on the Human Development Index.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh live streaming, kualitas produk, dan content marketing terhadap purchase intention produk thrift pada Generasi Z di Sumatera Barat. Metode yang dipakai kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Teknik sampling non probability sampling memakai rumus Lemeshow diperoleh 96 responden yang merupakan bagian dari Generasi Z di Sumatera Barat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa live streaming, kualitas produk, dan content marketing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap purchase intention produk thrift. Live streaming memberikan dampak dengan meningkatkan interaksi dan kepercayaan konsumen terhadap produk yang ditawarkan. Kualitas produk berperan penting dalam membangun kepuasan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Sementara itu, content marketing yang menarik dan informatif mampu meningkatkan daya tarik produk serta mendorong keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bagi para pelaku usaha thrift untuk lebih mengoptimalkan strategi pemasaran digital, khususnya melalui live streaming dan content marketing, serta memastikan kualitas produk yang baik guna meningkatkan minat beli konsumen.

Abstract

Employee performance will increase if employees feel satisfied in their work. To grow employee job satisfaction, companies must be able to respond to employee needs such as psychological needs, namely work-life balance and material needs which are also very important for employees, namely reward policies, the key to creating an orderly and productive work environment, namely work discipline. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of work-life balance, rewards and work discipline on employee performance at the Padang Religious Training Center. Through the questionnaire method with samples using purposive sampling techniques, there were 71 respondents who were used as samples in this study. In the hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Padang Religious Training Center, rewards have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Padang Religious Training Center and work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Padang Religious Training Center.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of hotel and restaurant taxes on locally generated revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah, PAD) in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. As tourism and the service sector grow in the region, local governments increasingly rely on tax revenues from hospitality industries to fund public services and infrastructure. Using panel data from 19 districts and municipalities between 2016 and 2019, this study applies a fixed-effects regression model to analyze the influence of hotel and restaurant taxes on PAD. The findings reveal a statistically significant and positive relationship between these tax revenues and local government income, indicating their essential role in regional fiscal sustainability. Moreover, the study underscores the need for improved tax administration and strategic policy measures to enhance compliance and revenue performance. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of local taxes, local levies and the results of the management of separated regional assets on local revenue in the district / city of West Sumatra in 2019-2021. The object of this research is the district / city government of West Sumatra. The data used is secondary data taken from the realization report of local government revenue at the West Sumatra Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The type of data used is panel data. The population and sample amounted to 19 districts / cities of West Sumatra using total sampling technique. The results showed that local taxes had a significant effect while local levies, the results of the management of separated regional assets had no significant effect on local revenue and together had a positive and significant effect on local revenue in the district / city of West Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of profitability and leverage on firm value in the company's infrastructure. The variables in this study are Profitability and Leverage. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. The sample in this study are 16 infrastructure companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021. The analysis in this study uses panel regression analysis with the results showing that Leverage (DER) has no effect on firm value, while Profitability (ROA) has an effect on firm value.

Abstract

Accommodation is essential for supporting the tourism industry in Padang along with surrounding areas. This study would like to assess how accommodation facilities affect consumer satisfaction at Bunda House Syariah. The population the research projrct surveyed 67 visitors who stayed at Bunda House Syariah throughout 2024. The study identified a substantial positive correlation between service quality and customer satisfaction, meaning that guests at Bunda House Syariah feel comfortable and well-served by the provided services, leading them to make repeat reservations when visiting Padang. On the other hand, the accommodation facility variable was found to be insignificant, which suggests that customers at Bunda House Syariah are already satisfied and find the existing facilities suitable for their needs. Future studies can consider for add other variables that have a more significant impact on customer satisfaction like price perception, Technology Adoption and so on.
