Abstract

Providing cosmetology and fashion training for teachers and TK Nasyatul Aisyiyah  students is a form of Higher Education Tri Dharma conducted. Makeup and fashion training is a form of training that is useful for teachers to provide methods of dressing and dressing both in everyday life, beautiful and stout, and so forth. Whereas for students is to describe or introduce how to dress and make up that is good and reasonable. The expected outcome of this dedication is that teachers and students are able to teach and understand and understand what kind of dressing and good dress is.

Abstract

The present and forthcoming educational requirements are focused on enhancing the calibre of cognitive competencies and expertise, in addition to the attitudes, character, and ethics of the Indonesian populace as a whole, to realize the national educational objectives. Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping the creative, adaptive, and commendable character of students, thereby contributing significantly to the attainment of national education objectives. Educators hold a significant position in the educational journey of students, particularly in primary education, as they provide guidance and support throughout the learning process. The primary duty of a teacher, as a professional educator, is to instruct, guide, and mentor students towards the development of refined, self-sufficient, and exceptional individuals. Proficiency in imparting educational content to learners is a prerequisite for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position. Hence, in order to optimize their function, an educator must possess comprehension of the four fundamental principles of education. These principles can serve as a framework for structuring educational endeavours within primary school settings. The purpose of this practise is to equip students with the necessary skills and abilities to acquire knowledge in a more comprehensive manner, encompassing cognitive, practical, personal, and social domains. The forthcoming community service initiative is scheduled to take place in June 2023, wherein a cohort of 24 individuals will be engaged in the provision of educational instruction at the Nasyatul Aisyiyah Mungka Kindergarten.

Abstract

This initiative is designed to enhance the comprehension of Nasyatul Aisyiyah Mungka children, emphasizing that subjects like arts or sciences should be approached with conceptual understanding rather than mere memorization. The service activity unfolds in stages, beginning with the presentation of materials and followed by practical demonstrations and simple simulations facilitated by evolving technology. The core principle involves involving Nasyatul Aisyiyah Mungka's children in applying discussed arts concepts. Additionally, simulations are presented to encourage them to recognize the connection between their daily activities and the realms of arts or sciences. The methodology includes pretests, interviews (focus group discussions), concept delivery, experimental studies (using props and practical activities), and post-tests. The pretest results yielded a mean score of 53.83, while after the service activities, the posttest results indicated an increased mean score of 69.16. This service activity integrates not only one scientific field but a fusion of arts and engineering, where the emphasis on art science is prioritized for conceptual understanding. Simultaneously, engineering science concentrates on design effectiveness, encompassing assembly, installation, and experimentation with props and simulations. This interdisciplinary approach contributes to an enhanced understanding, evidenced by the elevated posttest scores.

Abstract

Basically, a theater script is a disclosure of life through the form of language.  This study will look at how the Minangkabau traditional theater analyzed the frame of discourse studies and raised its moral message. The method is qualitative analysis with literature and field research. From the results of literature and field found that discourse that appears in theater scripts such as ceremonies, rituals, stories, or entertainment is an act of speech or events. As a cultural index, the language in the Minangkabau theater script also reveals the way of thinking and organizing the experience of its speakers which in certain fields appear in lexical items and as symbolic language culture indicates ethnic cultural identity.

Abstract

Learning during the pandemic is changing from face-to-face to distance learning (PJJ). The system changes learning, including Indonesian language in universities, which has an impact on students and lecturers. For this reason, in addition to being supported by adequate infrastructure, PJJ must use an appropriate model so that learning is effective so that learning objectives are achieved. During the pandemic, Indonesian language learning at the Universtas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran  Jakarta used the project based learning model. With this model, not only learning becomes effective but also increases student creativity so that they can produce various products in the form of writings in scientific publications and various mass media articles. Each student is not only able to write one article but two or three articles during the lesson. This model is expected to continue to be used and developed so that Indonesian language learning becomes interesting and of high quality. AbstrakPembelajaran selama pandemi mengubah dari tatap muka langsung menjadi PJJ (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh). Perubahan tersebut mengubah sistem pembelajaran termasuk bahasa Indonesia di perguruan tinggi yang berdampak pada mahasiswa dan dosen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif sebab kreativitas mahasiswa didorong untuk menghasilkan berbagai produk tulisan yang bisa dipublikasikan di media massa. Melalui PJJ selama pandemi, maka project based learning menjadi model yang tepat dalam melakukan metode penelitian di Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua mahasiswa bisa mempublikasikan produk tulisannya berupa artikel selama pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, ketersediaan infrastruktur pada perguruan tinggi ini dapat mewujudkan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di perguruan tinggi menjadi lebih berkualitas.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the community of Padangpanjang through training in traditional arts. By understanding the dynamics of their arts and culture, it is hoped that the community can preserve and develop traditional art that forms part of their identity. The methods used in the training include observation, socialization, practice, and evaluation. The results of the activities show an increase in interest and skills among the community members in traditional arts, which is expected to enhance their economy and cultural awareness. This increase is particularly important in the face of globalization that threatens the existence of local arts

Abstract

Mungka District has a variety of traditional art forms that are still alive and growing. Silek or randai is not documented as a good medium, making it disappear from the community both old and young. Whereas the various forms of art in this case are the Minangkabau Silek as one of the main elements in Randai art, having local wisdom values but are less in demand, especially towards the younger generation. Therefore, documentation of retention of the Minangkabau silek in the traditional Randai arts is very necessary to maintain the existence of the art, as well as increasing the value of traditional and cultural tourism in West Sumatra because it can be re-broadcasted with various electronic media. Documenting the traditional art of  Silek in Randai can be done by going directly to the field and introducing it to elementary schools as teaching material in the field of  Natural Culture, Minangkabau. This study uses a qualitative method. The instruments to be used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and direct observation, analysis, and writing of research results. From this documentation it was found that young people became interested again to reprint or reproduce the forms of documentation Silek in Randai to be used in the education world or traded as a cultural asset.

Abstract

This research problem is to reveal and describe how the people in Nagari Mungka use the patterns of kinship greeting forms in the Minangkabau language as a case example. Mungka is one of the areas that, until now, still uses the values of the Minangkabau language and culture well, so it is necessary to see how they use the greeting language in their daily kinship. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, cross-checks, data collection, and recording. In addition, free and unbound listening techniques were also used to collect data using the form of kinship greetings in a conversation. The analysis method was using sorting and classifying the data based on the type or category of kinship greeting forms through the kinship system in Minangkabau. The analysis results show the characteristics of Minangkabau culture in using patterns of kinship greeting forms such as pronouns, titles, kinship greetings, and kinship greetings added with pronouns and adjectives. Based on the findings, if a scriptwriter wants to write a traditional script in kinship greetings, it can refer to the use of kinship in Minangkabau. AbstrakMasalah penelitian ini adalah mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana masyarakat di Nagari Mungka menggunakan pola-pola sapaan kekerabatan dalam bahasa Minangkabau sebagai contoh kasus. Mungka merupakan salah satu daerah yang sampai saat ini masih menggunakan nilai-nilai bahasa dan budaya Minangkabau dengan baik, sehingga perlu dilihat bagaimana mereka menggunakan bahasa sapaan tersebut dalam pergaulan sehari-hari. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket, wawancara, cek silang, pengumpulan data, dan pencatatan. Selain itu, teknik menyimak bebas dan tidak terikat juga digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa sapaan kekeluargaan dalam percakapan. Metode analisis menggunakan pemilahan dan pengklasifikasian data berdasarkan jenis atau kategori bentuk sapaan kekerabatan melalui sistem kekerabatan di Minangkabau. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ciri-ciri budaya Minangkabau dalam menggunakan pola bentuk sapaan kekerabatan seperti kata ganti, gelar, sapaan kekerabatan, dan sapaan kekerabatan ditambah dengan kata ganti dan kata sifat. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, jika seorang penulis naskah ingin menulis naskah adat dalam sapaan kekerabatan, dapat merujuk pada penggunaan kekerabatan di Minangkabau.
