Abstract

This research was motivated by the decline of the students’ responsibility and tolerance at school. This condition is characterized by the high rate of juvenile delinquency, brawls among students, and the influence of technology that decreases the students’ interaction with their surroundings, community, and other students at school. This study revealed the differences between TPSR model and cooperative learning models in increasing students' responsibility and tolerance in physical education learning. The difference was found on students in the urban and rural area. The method used in this study was Quasi Experimental study with the pretest post-test two treatment design. The population of this study were 192 students. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling technique so that the sample of this study were 128 students. The two different treatment models namely the TPSR models and cooperative learning models were conducted. The instrument used was a responsibility and tolerance questionnaire analyzed by multivariate analysis (Manova). The results of this study found that cooperative learning model is better in developing responsibilities, while the Teaching Personal Social Responsibility (TPSR) model is better for developing students' tolerance in physical education learning. Both of these models can be used in physical education learning to build character and active learning process.   AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi atas dasar sudah menurunnya sikap tanggung jawab dan toleransi siswa disekolah, kondisi ini ditandai oleh tingginya angka kenakalan remaja, tawuran antar siswa dan lebih lagi pengaruh teknologi yang begitu kuat membuat siswa jarang bersosialisasi dengan masyarakat sekitar dan sesama siswa disekolah. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan perbedaan Model TPSR dengan model kooperatif dalam meningkatkan sikap tanggung jawab dan toleransi siswa dalam pembelajaran penjas serta juga dibedakan antara siswa di daerah dengan siswa  yang  sekolah  dikota.  Metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah  quasi eksperimen dengan desain the pretest post-test two treatment design. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 192, untuk memperoleh sampel pada penelitian ini teknik pengambilan sampel mengunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling sehingga diperolah sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 128. Perlakuannya pada dua model yang berbeda yaitu model TPSR dan model kooperatif. Instrument yang digunakan adalah angket tanggung jawab dan toleransi, analisis dengan multivarian (MANOVA). Hasil penlitian ini menemukan bahwa Model kooperatif lebih mampu mengembangkan tanggung jawab sedangkan model TPSR dalam sikap toleransi siswa pada pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Kedua model ini bisa dijadikan sebagai model pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani yang menanamkan karakter dan keaktifan dalam menjalankan proses belajar.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of English language learning based on the pedagogical grammar approach at Institut Agama Islam Diniyyah Pekanbaru. The purpose of the study was to explore how this approach enhances students' understanding and application of English grammar in communication. The research aimed to identify effective strategies, challenges, and the overall impact of pedagogical grammar on language proficiency. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing classroom observations, interviews with instructors, and student feedback to analyze the effectiveness of the pedagogical grammar framework. Lesson materials were designed to integrate grammatical concepts into communicative contexts, ensuring that students could apply rules in real-life language use. Data were collected from English language classes and analyzed to determine students' progress, engagement, and comprehension of grammatical structures. The findings indicate that incorporating pedagogical grammar significantly improved students’ grammatical accuracy and confidence in communication. The approach helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical usage, fostering better retention and application of language rules. However, challenges such as limited instructional time and varying student proficiency levels were observed. Teachers reported that explicit grammar instruction, combined with contextualized practice, contributed to more effective learning outcomes. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of pedagogical grammar in English language learning, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving students’ grasp of grammar for communication. It suggests that future training should focus on equipping educators with adaptable strategies to address diverse learning needs, ensuring a more comprehensive and student-centered approach to English instruction.

Abstract

The goal of this community service program at SMP IT Imam Syafi'i Cendikia Pekanbaru was to help students improve their practical English skills, especially their speaking and writing. Even though students had learnt grammar in a formal setting before, it was clear from observations that there was a big difference between what they knew about grammar and how well they could use it in real-life situations. A contextual and applicative Pedagogical Grammar approach was implemented to tackle this issue, in accordance with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) framework that priorities flexible, meaningful, and student-centered learning. The program included socialization, training for teachers, putting what they learnt into practice in the classroom, mentoring, and regular evaluations. Grammar lessons were part of real-life communication tasks like role-playing, group discussions, and writing. The learning materials were made more relevant to students' lives by using themes like empathy, bullying awareness, and hobbies. The results show that students' English skills have gotten a lot better. Students showed more confidence when speaking English, wrote messages and short texts with more accuracy and fluency, and used grammatical structures better in real-life conversations. Teachers also said that using interactive and context-based methods to teach grammar made them more effective. In general, using contextual Pedagogical Grammar has been shown to improve students' ability to communicate and close the gap between knowing grammar and using it in real life. This method helps MBKM reach its goals and gets students ready to meet the demands of global communication with more linguistic confidence and skill.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara status gizi dengan kemampuan gerak dasar lokomotor pada anak usia dini di Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi. Populasi yang digunakan adalah TK Kota Pekanbaru. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 70 anak. Variabel yang diteliti: 1) variabel bebas yaitu: status gizi, 2) variabel terikat yaitu: gerak dasar lokomotor. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 3 Taman Kanak-Kanak di Kota Pekanbaru. Sampel penelitian diambil secara acak dari populasi tersebut untuk mendapatkan representasi yang valid. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari pengukuran indeks massa tubuh (BMI) yang disesuaikan dengan usia dan jenis kelamin untuk menentukan status gizi anak, serta tes standar kemampuan gerak dasar lokomotor yang mencakup aktivitas fisik seperti berlari, melompat, dan menjaga keseimbangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik untuk menentukan korelasi antara status gizi dan kemampuan gerak dasar lokomotor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara status gizi dengan kemampuan gerak dasar lokomotor. Anak-anak dengan status gizi baik cenderung menunjukkan kemampuan gerak dasar yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan anak-anak yang mengalami kekurangan atau kelebihan gizi. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya asupan gizi yang seimbang untuk mendukung perkembangan fisik dan sehat anak yang optimal. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi kebutuhan untuk intervensi gizi yang tepat dan program kesehatan yang ditargetkan pada anak-anak usia dini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan kesehatan keseluruhan. Saran diberikan kepada orang tua, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mendukung pengembangan program gizi dan aktivitas fisik yang efektif.
