Abstract

Online learning is alternative for learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic by educators. Teachers required to innovate in choosing learning media, so that lessons are not boring and laerning motivation increase. Science learning media must be interesting and easy to understand, so students are accustomed and happy. Tiktok is one of the popular applications that can be used as an interesting and interesting science learning media for students. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis method. The sample in this study was randomly selected junior high school students totaling 38 childrens. This study aims to determine the response of junior high school students to science learning media using the tiktok application. The results of student responses are : 1) students recognize, use, and assume that the tiktok application has a positive impact, (2) students easily understand tiktok content related to science learning, (3) the majority of teachers have not implemented the tiktok application as a science learning media, and (4) the response of science learning media using the tiktok application received a positive response from junior high school students. The conclusion is tiktok can be used for alternative learning science by teachers because of the positive response from students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui eksplanasi sains pengolahan kopi, kevalidan, keefektifan modul IPA berbasis etnosains Pengolahan Kopi yang telah dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan respon tanggapan siswa dan guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan atau Research and development (R&D). Penelitian ini dilakukan 5 tahapan yaitu Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil temuan pada sains asli yang telah diartikan dalam sains ilmiah dalam Pengolahan Kopi memiliki beragam fungsi dan makna. Pengembangan modul IPA berbasis etnosains pengoalahan kopi dinyatakan valid dan layak untuk diujikan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli diperoleh rata-rata nilai V-Aiken 0,82 dengan kriteria valid. Modul IPA berbasis Etnosains Pengolahan Kopi yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan perolehan nilai N gain sebesar 0,45 dengan kriteria sedang. Tanggapan respon siswa terhadap modul IPA berbasis Etnosains Pengolahan Kopi yang dikembangkan dengan perolehan skor mencapai 94,5% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan Modul IPA berbasis Etnosains Pengolahan Kopi yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan sangat baik digunakan oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Mount Salam is located in Salamkanci Village. Natural beauty makes the mountains often passed by humans. Unfortunately, the behavior of throwing garbage by humans results in pollution of the ecosystem on Mount Salam. This research was conducted to identify the types of garbage in Mount Salam and analyze the impact that will be caused. This research uses research journals as references. The research method is a combination of literature review and qualitative research. The results of the study explained that Mount Salam was once a natural tourist spot that had experienced forest fires. The trigger of this forest fire is because people don’t heed warning writings and litter. Land that isn’t so large causes garbage to accumulate. The fire occurred due to human activities who were smoking and throwing cigarette butts towards the land with a lot of garbage. Another trigger is due to friction between dry branches around land full of garbage to cause sparks. The fires provide pollution and adverse impacts, especially in the health sector. Therefore, the Regional Government must be firm in steps to maintain the cleanliness of the environment by implementing clear regulations, giving instructions to the community not to carry out littering.

Abstract

Topik klasifikasi makhluk hidup yang diajarkan pada peserta didik pada tingkat menegah tergolong dalam topik yang sulit dan mengakibatkan masih terdapatnya miskonsepsi. Miskonsepsi yang terjadi dapat diatasi melalui argumentasi ilmiah dalam pembelajaran. Namun kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik di indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu cara dalam melatihkan argumentasi ialah melalui buku teks. Namun, buku teks yang digunakan di indonesia masih berada pada level 2 pada tingkatan argumentasi ilmiah. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode fuzzy delphi dan grafik fry. Penelitian terdiri atas 4 tahapan yaitu 1) menganalisis indikator kognitif pada topik klasifikasi makhluk hidup. 2) pengembangan bahan ajar. 3) menganalisis keterbacaan pada bahan ajar. 4) menganalisis validitas pada bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa 1) terdapat 7 indikator kognitif yang perlu dilatihkan pada topik klasifikasi makhluk hidup. 2) hasil uji keterbacaan menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar telah sesuai bagi tingkatan pembaca pada kelas 7. 3) hasil validitas memperoleh kesepakatan bersama para ahli pada setiap sub bab atau valid.

Abstract

The waste problem in Indonesia has become a serious problem. As much as 64.88% of the tens of millions of tons of waste per year is organic waste. Although classified as organic waste, this remains a major concern due to the various negative impacts caused by it. The purpose of this study was to explore the latest information regarding the effectiveness of maggots in overcoming the problem of organic waste. The research method used in writing this article is descriptive analysis with a literature study method. The results of the study indicate that maggots are able to decompose organic waste by actively eating it for 2-3 weeks for the growth process. By eating organic waste, these black soldier fly larvae are able to grow and develop well. Therefore, organic waste can be decomposed and reduced by making it into maggot feed. In addition, the maggots produced can also be used as feed for chickens, fish, or other animals. The remaining organic waste decomposition by maggots can also be used as organic fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. Thus, it can be concluded that black soldier fly larvae (maggots) have proven effective in overcoming the problem of organic waste.

Abstract

Eksploitasi sumber daya alam, termasuk penambangan pasir di lereng Gunung Merapi telah memberikan dampak ekologis yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak lingkungan dari penambangan pasir di wilayah lereng Merapi menggunakan pendekatan observasi pustaka yang sistematis. Analisis dilakukan dengan meninjau berbagai penelitian relevan yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015 hingga 2025, dengan fokus pada konskuensi seperti Google Scholar dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang menghubungkan penambangan pasir, dampak ekologis, dan pengelolaan sumber daya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambangan pasir yang tidak terkendali telah menyebabkan degradasi lingkugan, termasuk deforestasi, kerusakan jalan, dan gangguan pada ekosistem udara tanah. Sedimentasi sungai, terutama di Sungai Gendol dan Sungai Progo, telah mengubah dinamika aliran udara sehingga mempengaruhi ketersediaan dan kualitas udara. Tinjuan sistematis ini menyoroti peningkatan pandungan padatan tersuspendi dan logam berat di daalm air sungai akibat aktivitas penambangan, yang berdampak negatif terhadap ekosistem perairan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun penambangan pasir memberikan kontribusi terhadap perekonomian lokal, dampak ekologis dalam jangka panjang tidak dapat diabaikan. Praktik pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan, penegakan regulasi, dan program kesadaran masyarakat sangat penting untuk mengurangi kerusakan lingkungan.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the quality of tofu liquid waste, analyze the quality of river water around the tofu industry in Mejing Village and analyze government policies in managing tofu liquid waste. The research method used is grab sampling, observation, and interviews to obtain primary data. Secondary data from journal articles and research reports are used to support primary data. The research results show that the quality of tofu liquid waste has a pH of 2.8-33, a temperature of 41-51 oC and is not in accordance with established quality standards. Tofu liquid waste also has a pungent sour odor, yellowish color, and contains many suspended particles. Disposal of tofu liquid waste into the waters causes the river flowing in Mejing Village to be dirty and indicates light to heavy pollution. The government has set quality standards for wastewater produced by the tofu industry. Unfortunately, the tofu industry in Mejing Village does not comply with this regulation properly. The low awareness of tofu industry players to manage liquid waste is caused by various factors. Good communication between the government and industry players is needed so that industry players know how to process the liquid waste they produce. The government needs to supervise the application of government regulations related to the management of tofu liquid waste and provide sanctions to industries that violate it. Planning for a communal IPAL as well as an appropriate solution must be realized immediately so that the problem of tofu liquid waste in the tofu industry center in Mejing Village can be resolved immediately.

Abstract

Water is a vital element for human beings. However, there are still limited clean water services in Indonesia. Raw water treatment is needed to ensure the availability of clean water. One of the methods is by using the coagulation process. The coagulant functions to speed up the coagulation process. Although effective in water treatment, chemical coagulants have some disadvantages. Therefore, it is necessary to develop natural coagulants to overcome the weakness of chemical ones. Natural ingredients can be used as coagulants if they have many macromolecules. Lamtoro leaves are one of the natural materials that are only used to feed the animal. This research aims to examine the potential of lamtoro leaf as a natural coagulant in terms of its content. The research is conducted by testing lamtoro leaf powder using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and proximate test. Infrared spectra of lamtoro leaves show the presence of absorption peaks for specific groups of carbohydrate and protein compounds. The proximate test results show that lamtoro leaves contain 24.7% protein and 53.71% carbohydrates. The high protein and carbohydrate contents in lamtoro leaves enable them to be used as a natural coagulant.

Abstract

Gampong Ulee Jalan is in the Banda Sakti sub-district of Lhokseumawe City. This gampong is located in the Malacca Strait crossing area. Apart from that, the majority of people in Ulee Jalan gampong are Acehnese and there are some mixtures of other tribes. Gampong Ulee Jalan Banda Sakti District, Lhokseumawe City consists of 4 (four) hamlets named Mesjid Hamlet, Bahagia Hamlet, Sejahtera Hamlet, and Dayah Hamlet. The problems faced by the people of Ulee Jalan gampong are the problem of poverty and low education and lack of knowledge about technology for processing leftover rice which is always at home every day and leftover rice from celebrations, low knowledge in running a business and marketing and limited employment opportunities so that employment opportunities are needed. new to increase people's income, especially family income. To solve the problems faced by partners, training and assistance is provided in making leftover rice crackers so that they are worth selling, increasing entrepreneurial skills and creating new business opportunities in making leftover rice crackers, which in the end can increase people's income in general and family income in particular. The aim of community service activities (PKM) is expected to be able to make a contribution, especially to the women of Ulee Jalan village, to further increase their creativity to make optimal use of the potential that exists in the mothers through training in making crackers from leftover rice so that the mothers can create jobs. and increase knowledge and understand how to increase family income. The activity implementation method is carried out by (1) introducing products/crackers resulting from processing leftover rice into crispy and nutritious crackers whose processing does not require modern equipment, (2) training and assistance in making leftover rice crackers which are rich in nutrition. (3) product packaging. The result of this activity is increased knowledge and skills of partners in processing leftover rice.
