Abstract

Smallpox is a human skin disease that causes fluid-filled lumps, especially on the face and can spread throughout the body. There are several types of smallpox, including chickenpox (caused by the Varicella-Zoster virus), monkeypox (by the monkeypox virus), and cowpox (by the cowpox virus). Although smallpox is often considered mild, it can cause serious complications, especially for people with weakened immune systems. This research aims to develop an application that uses the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm with the AlexNet architecture to help doctors diagnose types of smallpox. CNNs work similarly to the way the human brain recognizes objects in images. The dataset used consists of 3200 images 800 images for each type of smallpox and healthy skim, with 80% for training data and 20% for test data. The test results show the highest accuracy of 92%, using Batch size 16, Learning rate 0.0001, Optimizer Adam, and Epoch 40.

Abstract

SMK Bina Cipta Palembang adalah sekolah menengah kejuruan yang berlokasi di Kota Palembang, SMK Bina Cipta Palembang memiliki 5 jurusan kompetensi keahlian yang dapat dipilih oleh calon siswa/i, yaitu : jurusan teknik dan bisnis sepeda motor, jurusan teknik komputer dan jaringan, jurusan bisnis daring dan pemasaran, jurusan otomatisasi dan tata kelola perkantoran, dan jurusan akuntansi dan keuangan lembaga. Pada jurusan teknik komputer dan jaringan, salah satu mata pelajaran yang akan dipelajari adalah mengenai Mikrotik. Mengetahui pentingnya dalam belajar mengenai mikrotik, maka dari itu, kami Tim Dosen dan Mahasiswa Universitas Multi Data Palembang, ingin berbagi pengetahuan melalui pengadaan pelatihan singkat untuk membuat access point menggunakan mikrotik yang dapat menambah pengetahuan para siswa/i mengenai mikrotik. Pelatihan ini telah dilaksanakan secara tatap muka langsung bersama para siswa/i SMK Bina Cipta Palembang Kelas XII Jurusan Teknik Komputer Jaringan. Para siswa sangat antusias mengikuti arahan dari instruktur dan mempraktekkannya langsung.

Abstract

Visi SMA Negeri 3 Kayu Agung adalah “Menjadi Sekolah Sehat Berwawasan Lingkungan, Relegius, Cerdas, Berbudaya Literasi, dan Berdaya Saing Global Berdasarkan Budaya Bangsa”. Demi tercapainya Visi dan Misinya, SMA Negeri 3 Kayu Agung berkerja sama dengan berbagai organisasi baik yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan dan industri dalam memberikan pelatihan salah satunya berkerja sama dengan Universitas Multi Data Palembang dengan mengundang tim dosen untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru, tenaga kependidikan dan pustakawan. Tim dosen Universitas Multi Data Palembang diundang untuk memberikan materi pelatihan terkait dengan pelatihan terkait dengan Digitalisasi Perpustakaan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System) pada guru, tenaga kependidikan dan pustakawan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membantu SMA Negeri 3 Kayu Agung dalam mengimplementasikan digitalisasi perpustakaan, yang mempermudah perpustakaan untuk mengontrol semua kegiatan yang terjadi, seperti pendataan buku, anggota, peminjaman, dan pengembalian buku. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah terlaksana dengan baik dan bermanfaat bagi SMA Negeri 3 Kayu Agung dalam mengimplementasikan digitalisasi perpustakaan. Selain itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini disambut baik oleh Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah, guru – guru, tenaga kependidikan, dan pustakawan di SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women worldwide. Early detection of breast cancer, whether benign or malignant, is crucial for increasing the chances of successful treatment. This study aims to develop a breast cancer prediction model using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method combined with Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) to enhance prediction efficiency and accuracy. The RFE method is applied to select significant features that contribute substantially to breast cancer classification. The dataset used in this study is derived from the Breast Cancer Wisconsin Diagnostic and tested under various feature selection scenarios. The results indicate that features such as area_worst, texture_worst, radius_worst, concave_points_mean, and concavity_mean consistently emerge as the most relevant. The SVM model with RFE, utilizing 10 features, achieves the best accuracy of 98.25%, with an optimal balance among precision, recall, and F1-score. This approach effectively filters relevant information, reduces noise from insignificant features, and improves data efficiency and interpretability. These findings affirm that the combination of SVM and RFE can serve as an effective method for breast cancer prediction and provide a robust foundation for future clinical analyses.

Abstract

Rice is a major food crop crucial for global food security, but its growth faces challenges such as leaf diseases caused by bacteria and fungi. Manual classification of rice leaf diseases by farmers in the field has limitations in accuracy and efficiency. This study aims to classify rice leaf diseases to provide fast and accurate classification results for early treatment. A convolutional neural network (CNN) with the AlexNet architecture will be used with the rice leaf dataset. The dataset consists of 2000 images divided into four classes: Healthy, Brown Spot, Hispa, and Leaf Blast, with an 80:10:10 split ratio. Testing compares the Adam and SGD optimizers with batch sizes of 16, 32, and epochs of 10, 20, and 25. The highest classification accuracy achieved was 80% using the Adam optimizer weight, improving model performance.

Abstract

Toko Bangunan Dunia Baru Palembang has implemented a sales application system since 2018 to improve operational efficiency. Although a discount feature has already been included, the application still lacks an automatic product recommendation feature. In fact, such a feature is essential for boosting sales by suggesting related products that are often purchased together. This research aims to design and develop a product recommendation application using a binary tree data structure with the preorder traversal algorithm. This method enables the system to provide product suggestions based on the hierarchical relationship between main products and supporting products. The research was conducted through literature review, direct observation, collecting sales data, grouping data based on product categories and co-purchase frequency, designing the tree data structure, implementing the algorithm, and testing the application. The test results show that the feature is easy to use for employees and can assist them in providing quick and logical product recommendations. However, some issues were identified, such as the font size being difficult to read and the lack of product details—such as brand and stock availability—on the same display.

Abstract

Kecerdasan buatan (AI) merupakan perkembangan teknologi penting di era digital. Di kalangan pelajar, AI berbasis Natural Language Processing (NLP) populer karena kemampuannya berinteraksi secara alami. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkenalkan konsep dasar AI dan meningkatkan literasi digital anak binaan Kakak Asuh Buddhis (KAB) dari Keluarga Mahasiswa Buddhis Palembang (KMBP). Pendekatan tatap muka edukatif digunakan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi partisipatif, dan praktik chatbot AI seperti ChatGPT dan Perplexity. Anak-anak dari TK hingga SMA aktif berpartisipasi dan memahami materi dengan baik. Selain aspek teknis, kegiatan ini menanamkan kesadaran pentingnya penggunaan teknologi secara etis dan bertanggung jawab. Hasilnya menunjukkan pembelajaran interaktif mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam memanfaatkan AI secara bijak untuk pembelajaran dan pengembangan diri.

Abstract

The plantation sector significantly contributes to Indonesia’s economy, with oil palm being a leading commodity in both domestic and international markets. Accurate identification of oil palm fruit varieties, particularly Dura and Tenera, is crucial for maximizing productivity and profitability. However, conventional identification methods are still manual, time-consuming, and prone to human error. This study proposes an automated classification approach using the ResNet-50 deep learning architecture to classify oil palm fruit varieties, and compares the performance of two optimizers: ADAM and SGD. A dataset of 2,000 images representing Dura and Tenera varieties was collected and augmented to enhance training diversity. The images were preprocessed and resized to 224×224 pixels before being input into the model. Experiments were conducted with variations in learning rate, batch size, and dense layers. Model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix. The results show that the ResNet-50 model trained with the ADAM optimizer achieved the best performance, with 85% testing accuracy and an F1-score of 0.85, outperforming the SGD optimizer. These findings demonstrate that combining ResNet-50 with ADAM results in better generalization and training efficiency. This research supports the development of a more accurate and efficient classification system for oil palm management, with potential for broader application in agricultural automation.

Abstract

Community service activity in the form of providing training wereheld on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the MA Muqimus Sunnah School inPalembang. This training aims to conduct graphic design training usingAdobe Photoshop application for 25 students to improve their knowledge inpractice about how to create two dimensional design using Adobe Photoshopapplication such as logo design, poster design, and photo editing. This activityinclude substantial information of the activity, followed by demonstrations inpracticing the application to create designs and testing activities to know howmuch the students can understand the training materials that have beenprovided. At practical session on designing logo and poster, participants weregiven guidance on concepts of how to make good logo such as in choosingcolors, shapes, sizes, and letters or numbers used on logo, The results of thetraining show the students can understand and use tools in Adobe Photoshopapplication to add and organize text, cut and move images, students cancreate logos, posters, and edit images/photos using Adobe Photoshopapplications.

Abstract

CCTV Grosir Palembang adalah salah satu toko yang menjual berbagai macam jenis cctv dengan harga yang terjangkau serta melayani pemasangan cctv di kota Palembang. Saat pandemi Covid-19 ini, angka penjualan cctv mengalami penurunan dibandingkan sebelum terjadinya pandemi. Pembeli yang datang ke toko untuk melakukan pembelian cctv hanya sedikit. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan aplikasi Instagram Bisnis sebagai media pemasaran online, serta cara menggunakannya agar dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pemasaran produk – produk cctv yang dijual secara online. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan penggunaan instagram kepada kepala cabang dan karyawan CCTV Grosir Palembang. Hasil dari pelatihan adalah dibuatnya akun instagram bisnis CCTV Grosir dan diposting beberapa foto dari produk cctv yang dijual. Akun instagram bisnis ini akan dikelola oleh admin yang akan selalu aktif untuk update untuk melakukan iklan promosi mengenai produk yang dijual. Manfaat dari pelatihan ini adalah dapat meningkatkan penjualan CCTV dimasa pandemi COVID-19 dengan pemasaran penjualan secara online menggunakan Instragram Bisnis
