Abstract

Huia is a frog belonging to the family Ranidae which has a wide distribution in the world, including in Indonesia. Huia in Indonesia consists of 4 species spread from Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan, namely Huia masonii, Huia cavitympanum, Huia modligianii, and Huia sumatrana. Huia was originally incorporated into the genus Amolops and divided into 3 different sub-genus. The method used was quantitative descriptive as the data obtained in the form of descriptions of the morphometric and meristic characters PAST 3 analyzed software of wet specimens from the Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense. The aims were to determine the morphological variations in Huia characters due to the interesting distribution patterns of species, that were scattered on each island.. The results obtained show that there were morphological variations but have not shown significant grouping with the dominant character of each population of the entire genus Huia in Indonesia.

Abstract

Karst adalah bentang alam yang unik yang terbentuk akibat dari pelarutan batuan karbonat atau batuan gamping oleh air hujan. Di dalam kawasan karst terbentuk beberapa gua yang menjadi ci khas dari kawasan karst yang terbentuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman Collembola gua yang berada di Kawasan Karst Malang Selatan. Sampel yang diambil adalah berasal dari tanah yang berada di lantai gua dengan menggunakan teknik Purposiv Sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada empat gua yaitu Gua Harta, Gua Krompyang, Gua Prapatan JLS, dan Gua Lowo. Setiap pengambilan sampel dilakukan tiga kali pengulangan pada setiap zona, yaitu zona terang, zona remang, dan zona gelap. Hasil analisis data menghasilkan nilai Indeks Keanekaragaman H’=0,46121 dan Indeks Kemerataan E=0,28656.

Abstract

Capung merupakan salah satu bioindikator lingkungan perairan karena habitatnya yang bergantung pada sumber air. Naiad capung menghabiskan hidupnya sebelum menjadi imago dewasa di dalam air. Capung juga berperan sebagai predator alami bagi serangga kecil dan hama tanaman persawahan dan perkebunan. Ekosistem sungai memeiliki vegetasi yang bervariasi dan biota yang beragam serta kondisi lingkungan dan tipe habitat yang bermacam-macam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman capung di aliran sungai Desa Karangrejo, Kecamatan Garum, Kabupaten Blitar. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan dengan pengulangan sebanyak 3 kali pada tiap pengamatan. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan transek belt dengan menyusuri aliran aliran sungai dan visual day flying dengan mencatat jumlah capung yang terbang. Data yang diperoleh diidentifikasi dan dihitung indeks kenaekaragaman (H’) Shannon-Wiener. Hasil pengamatan didapatkan 29 spesies yang terdiri dari 8 famili. Spesies terbanyak ditemukan individu adalah Pantala flavescens sebanyak 459 individu dan ditemukan satu individu yakni Zyxomma obtusum dan Euphaea variegata. Nilai rata-rata indeks keanekaragaman kawasan tersebut tergolong rendah dengan H’= 1.85, dengan indeks tertinggi H’=2.26 dan terendah H’=1,23.

Abstract

Baluran National Park Situbondo have function to field study, and plays a role as the ecotourism area. Bekol savanna is part of Baluran National Park which has been invaded by Acacia (A. nilotica) plants. The aim of this study was to determine the diversity and abundant of the insects in A. nilotica in Bekol savannas park, Baluran national park. The research method has been employed with the make plots in the savannas dimensions of 20 x 20 m. Insect was collected by flying trap without antractan for four weeks. Insect identification was carried out at Entomology Laboratory SITH ITB. Diversty index was analyzed by Shannon’s index and abundant index with the Simpson’s index. The results showed that the 527 insects caught consisted of 5 insect orders that lived on A. nilotica in the Bekol Savanna . Diversity of insect have the range medium from H= 1,73186 – 2,29266. Insect diversity has high in the plot III and low from plot II. Abundant index was known that the familia Formicidae is dominance species with Polyrhachis sp=45,77465 % plot I, Crematogaster sp= 62,2807% plot II, Crematogaster sp= 45,45455% plot III and plot IV Crematogaster sp= 38,67925%. The low of diversity index because just many insect could live in the A. nilotica and some species likes Caryedon serattus, Zyras compressicornis, Crematogaster sp and Trigona lavaiceps was collected from four site reseach. The abundant of familia Formicidae because they have mutuallystic symbiosis with the A. nilotica. From the result we could conclude that diversity and abundant insect dependent to the plant and interaction have done.

Abstract

Mount Sigogor Nature Reserve area is a mountainous tropical rain forest, administratively located in Pupus Village, Ngebel District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. One of the main functions of this nature reserve is as a water catchment area for the villages around the nature reserve area. Water sources and flows within the Mount Sigogor Nature Reserve area have the potential as natural habitat for dragonflies. This study aims to determine the diversity and abundance of dragonflies (Odonata) in the Mount Sigogor Nature Reserve Area. The method of collecting dragonflies data used the Visual Day Flying method by recording the diversity of dragonflies species and counting the number of individuals from each observed dragonflies species. The data obtained were analyzed using the Relative abundance, Shannon-Wiener Heterogeneity Index and the frequency of Presence. The results of the research conducted showed that there were 14 species from 7 families with a total of 464 individuals. The Shannor-Wiener diversity index shows that the diversity value is H'= 1.81. Meanwhile, the presence frequency analysis showed that there were four species with a value of 100% which were classified as abundant Frequency of Presence, namely Euphaea variegata, Vestalis luctuosa, Rhinocypha anisoptera and Coeliccia membranipes.

Abstract

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) is an area that functions as a life support, and a nature conservation area that plays an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Mosquitoes, which are ectoparasites, can be vectors of disease in humans, so a study on the identification and diversity of mosquitoes was carried out to determine the level of distribution of mosquitoes and the possibility of transmission of disease vectors in an area. The study was conducted during January-February 2021 with the non-probability sampling method, accidental sampling and the results obtained were 19 mosquito species with a diversity index calculation of H' (2.36) for Ireng-ireng Block and H' (1.71) for Ranu Darungan which both fall into the medium category.

Abstract

Air Terjun Selogiri merupakan kawasan wisata alam yang jauh dari pusat kota Banyuwangi dan memiliki tingkat pencemaran lingkungan yang rendah. Hal ini menjadikan Air Terjun Selogiri sebagai surga potensial bagi kelangsungan hidup berbagai jenis serangga, terutama kupu-kupu. Keanekaragaman, keberadaan dan penyebaran berbagai jenis kupu-kupu sangat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, antara lain tipe habitat, kondisi tajuk, keanekaragaman vegetasi, dan abiotik. Penelitian ini menggunakan survei perjumpaan visual dengan mengambil jalan setapak di air terjun gorong-gorong. Studi menunjukkan bahwa 24 spesies berasal dari 4 Famili dengan 246 individu. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman spesies di lokasi H' =2,6. Struktur komunitas di Air Terjun Selogiri memiliki perbedaan jumlah spesies dan individu pada tajuk tidak sebanyak 185 individu, sedangkan pada tajuk 61 individu.

Abstract

Pangan yang berasal dari ternak sangat kita butuhkan karena mengandung protein penting dan mudah dicerna, daging merupakan salah satu pangan yang berasal dari ternak dan sangat bermanfaat bagi tubuh karena mengandung gizi yang lengkap sehingga perlu untuk dilakukan pencegahan kontaminasi terutama oleh bakteri Eschericia coli. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontaminasi bakteri Escherichia coli pada beberapa sampel daging. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian eksperimental untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli pada beberapa daging segar menggunakan metode pengenceran dan lama waktu inkubasi yang berbeda dari setiap sampel. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh jumlah kontaminasi bakteri Escherichia coli tertinggi pada sampel daging ayam daripada daging sapi dan daging kambing. Hasil tertinggi kontaminasi bakteri Escherichia coli daging ayam yang melebihi BMCM adalah sebesar 1108 : 1 x 109 dengan kode DA 049-DA 058. Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh bahwa 18 sampel daging ayam sebanyak (50%) sampel terkontaminasi Escherichia coli, 13 sampel daging sapi sebanyak (38%) terkontaminasi Escherichia coli. Sedangkan 1 daging kambing (0%) tidak terkontaminasi bakteri Escherichia coli.

Abstract

Rice field ecosystem is an artificial ecosystem that is used in agriculture. Rice fields in Seketi Village have vegetation types of corn, sugar cane, and rice, so that it will affect of grasshopper diversity in each vegetation. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of grasshoppers (Caelifera) and to determine the effect of vegetation on the diversity of grasshoppers in the rice fields of Seketi Village. The method used is purposive sampling and direct capture, namely research by making 5 plots measuring 5m x 5m with different types of plant vegetation (paddy, corn, sugar cane) catching with Sweep Net (insect nets). The results showed that there were species of Phlaeoba antennata, Phlaeoba fomusa, Oxya chinensis, Valanga nigricornis, Caryanda spuria, Atractomorpha crenulata, and Tettigidea sp. with a total of 152 individuals from 3 families. The diversity index value shows that plot 4 (maize plants) has the highest H' = 1.58 with 6 species of grasshoppers found and plot 1 (cane plants) has the lowest diversity index value of H = 1.09. Based on the differences in the value of grasshopper diversity in each plot caused by different types of vegetation, habitat conditions, and abiotic factors.

Abstract

Collembola is one of the soil fauna that acts as the smallest constituent component for the balance of the ecosystem. This study aims to compare the structure of the Collembola community in the habitat of Lowo Cave and Citizen's Garden in Melirang Village, Gresik Regency. This research uses descriptive exploratory research with soil drill method for soil sampling and pitfall trap for ground surface insect traps. Based on Collembola data obtained in Lowo Cave, there are 3 species with a total of 87 individuals, while in Citizen's Garden there are 6 Collembola species with a total of 145 individuals The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the Diversity Index value in the Lowo Cave habitat is H'= 0.859735 and in the Citizen's Garden a habitat with the value H' = 1.475675, the Evenness Index value in the Lowo Cave is E = 0.782565 and in the Citizen's Garden with a value of E = 0.82359, the value of the Dominance Index in Gua Lowo is 0.48104 and in the Citizen's Garden is 0.282949, the Relative Frequency of Ascocyrtus sp. and Hypogastrura consanguinea have a relative frequency of 100%.
