Abstract

Ada lima unsur yang sangat mempengaruhi keberhasilan sebuah pengajaran dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing, kelima unsur ini adalah: Tujuan pengajaran, bahan ajar, metode pengajaran, media pengajaran/alat peraga dan teknik evaluasi. Untuk menunjang kualitas penguasaan bahasa asing yang dipelajari oleh peserta didik, diperlukan strategi dan metode yang tepat dan sesuai dalam proses pembelajaran. Kondisi peserta didik di pendidikan tinggi, kecakapan dan kemahiran dosen, dan lingkungan sekitar ikut menentukan strategi dan metode yang dipilih. Pemilihan metode yang tepat dalam pengajaran bahasa asing sangat menentukan tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Disinilah peran penting pengajar dalam memilih metode yang tepat yang akan digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang diadakan. Sejauh tingkat ketercapaian satu materi yang diajarkan dalam proses pembelajaran? Jawabannya adalah sejauh mana juga pengajar memilih dan menggunakan metode yang tepat dalam pengajaran dimaksud.AbstractThere are five factors which significantly influence the successful of the teaching and learning foreign languages. These are: the aims of teaching, the kind of material used, the method of teaching, the means  or media of teaching and the evaluation techniques applied. The methodology and strategies of learning will support the best quality of proficiency of the learners. Other influencial factors to the choice of the strategies and the methods are:  the condition of the learners, their proficiency, the quality of the lecturers and the environment. Indeed, the right method of teaching foreign language will determine the the final goal of learning. Therefore, the role of lecturer is crucial. How far the level of material difficulties can be achieved through the answer of how far the lecturer determines the right methodology to his teaching.

Abstract

Abstrak - Penelitian ini berjudul, Belajar Kemahiran Berbahasa Asing  Mahasiswa Fakultas Sastra Melalui Aktifitas dan Program Kerja Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (Studi Analisis Program Kerja Organisasi Mahasiswa). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat sejauhmana tingkat partisipasi dan keikutsertaan mahasiswa Fakultas Sastra yang tergabung dalam organisasi mahasiswa dalam menjalankan program kerja organisasi mereka berbasis kemahiran berbahasa yang diopelajari di Fakultas Sastra. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, dari hasil yang diperoleh, peneliti menganalisa dan menarasikan data-data yang didapatkan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa, Fakultas Sastra UAI dalam membina organisasi kemahasiswaan mahasiswa sudah melakukan pembinaan dengan baik, walaupun masih perlu ditingkatkan kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Konsep kekeluargaan menjadi dasar pengelolaan organisasi di FS. Program kerja yang dibuat dan dilaksakan oleh organisasi kemahasiswaan ada yang sudah menunjang proses pembelajaran kemahiran berbahasa, ada juga yang tidak.  Masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi bentuk dan pengelolaan program kerjanya. Untuk partisipasi, keaktifan dan keikutsertaan mahasiswa Fakultas Sastra yang tergabung dalam organisasi dalam mengelola organisasi mereka masih beragam. Tingkat partisipasi mereka dimasing-masing organisasi berbeda, ada yang kecil ada juga yang sudah masuk kategori baik. Kata kunci - Kemahiran Berbahasa, Aktifitas, Program Kerja, Organisasi Kemahasiswaan Abstract - This study entitled, Learning Proficiency in Foreign Language for Students Faculty of Letters through Activities and Student organization’s Work Program (the Analyzation within the Student Organization’s work program). This research was conducted to see how far the participation and involvement of students in Faculty of Letters, those who joined in the student’s organization, in running their organization work program based on the language proficiency studied in the Faculty of Letters. This research is qualitative. It has conducted by the researcher’s analyzation and narration from the data obtained. The results of the research shows that, UAI Faculty of Letters have done good coaching in fostering it student organizations, although it still needs improvement in its quality and quantity.The concept of kinship becomes the basis of organizational management in FS. The student organization has created work programs. Some of the work program that has been implemented by the student organizations supported the learning process language skills, yet some others are not. The student organization still needs to improve the form and management of the work program. The students in Faculty of Letters conduct their participation (in term of being active and cooperative within working on the work program) diversely. Some shows very little effort of participation in the work program, and others shows very good effort of participation. Keywords - Language Skills, Activities, Work Program, Student Organization

Abstract

Instagram merupakan sosial media yang sangat populer di berbagai negara. Instagram digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk membagikan moment mereka, berupa foto maupun video. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukan kepada masyarakat bahwa Instagram mempunyai manfaat yang lain yaitu untuk pembelajaran istima’ bahasa Arab, dan khususnya untuk mahasiswa di program studi sastra Arab Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dan informasi dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara dan menggunakan quesioner berupa google form. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Instagram sangat bermanfaat bagi pelajar bahasa Arab dalam kemahiran istima’. Hasil tersebut merupakan responden dari mahasiswa Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Tanggapan mereka sangat berguna dalam hasil penelitian ini, terdapat 19 dari 30 mahasiswa yang telah mengisi quesioner tersebut dan merospen bahwa Instagram dimanfaatkan untuk mereka belajar bahasa Arab, dan mereka mempunyai kepuasan tersendiri dari akun yang mereka jadikan acuan untuk pembelajaran bahasa Arab khususnya dalam istima’.

Abstract

Arabic is becoming a very important language in a global context, as an official language in many countries and as an international language. However, the use of Arabic still often faces obstacles in communication effectiveness due to language misuse. Therefore, this study aims to identify acceptable and easy-to-understand Arabic translation strategies. The research method used is a qualitative research method with document review techniques through old manuscripts or previous research results related to this research. The results showed that an acceptable and easy-to-understand Arabic translation strategy involves several steps, such as understanding context, choosing the right words, using simple sentences, using synonyms, and understanding Arabic grammar well. In translation, the principles of self-instruction are also applied, including the use of dictionaries, practice by speaking, reading, and writing in Arabic.

Abstract

Arabic for Tourism is a course that can be facilitated with innovative teaching materials along with the availability of learning resources on the internet rich in vocabulary and terms typical to the field of Arabic tourism. Therefore, the use of Arabic tourism websites is an effective way to compile vocabulary lists. The articles published in this kind of websites can be collected to be used as a corpus, then processed using a corpus processing software, AntConc. This study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches with descriptive and comparative methods using a corpus linguistic approach. Teachers can take advantage of the features in this application to identify vocabularies commonly used in the world of tourism. These features are word frequency, concordance, collocation, and N-Gram. The results can be used as a reference in compiling an Arabic for Tourism vocabulary list.

Abstract

Humans as social beings are used to interacting and using language as a means of communication. Especially in the era of globalization, communication between countries is very likely to occur so that interest in mastering foreign languages increases, one of which is Arabic. Arabic is one of the foreign languages for Indonesia, so to master it requires guided learning. The most basic thing to learn a language is to improve listening skills. The ability to listen is very important in learning Arabic which is unique from grammar to sound. Thus, it is necessary to have a method capable of supporting this, one of which is the audiolingual method. This research uses qualitative research - descriptive. The results of this study state that audiolingual learning with podcasts in improving listening skills for Arabic students is very useful, because it will train their hearing and understanding of Arabic audio. Utilization of learning media in the form of podcasts is an effort to increase students' positive responses in receiving material.

Abstract

This article discusses how the student inter-organization of Arabic Literature study program in University of Al Azhar Indonesia takes role in enhancing quality of studying four Arabic language skills among students. This paper was focused on student organization mentoring pattern, type of program of activities formed by the organization, and the extent of students’ active participation as organization member in running the program. This paper used qualitative descriptive method. This paper proposed: (1) The concept of kinship became the foundation for managing the organization, especially in the way it is operated. (2) Program of activities in the organization varied in a sense that some programs were in line so to support the purpose of learning Arabic skill, while there were also programs that did not consider Arabic fluency. However, the latter was designed to harness students soft skills, and develop students talent and interest. (3) The extent of students participation seems adequate, although some students did not yet play their expected functional role as member of student organization.

Abstract

Arabic is one of the foreign language courses that must be taught at Al-Azhar Indonesia University (UAI) as a compulsory subject. Arabic is a characteristic of the UAI campus and is one of its superior characteristics, namely a special course that other public universities do not have. . The use of Arabic in the study program, Faculty of Arabic Language, Al-Azhar University Indonesia began in early 2000. All teachers on the Al-Azhar University Indonesia campus still feel that there is a failure in the level of success of the material that has been taught, one of which is Arabic speaking proficiency which is highly expected. Learning objectives for Arabic speaking proficiency, teaching materials from language proficiency courses, application of language proficiency teaching methodology, lecturers teaching Arabic speaking proficiency courses in the eyes of students and students' perceptions of evaluation techniques used by lecturers teaching language speaking proficiency courses in the program Arabic Literature Studies, Al-Azhar University Indonesia.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran terdapat strategi, model, pendekatan, metode, hingga teknik pembelajaran yang harus dipilih dengan baik agar dapat membantu mencapai keberhasilan pembelajaran. Metode adalah salah satu cara penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam mencapai target pembelajaran bahasa, sehingga sangat penting bagi pengajar dalam memilih metode yang sesuai dengan kondisi pelajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif analisis deskriptif, metode ini digunakan untuk melihat perbandingan dari metode gramatika terjemah dan metode langsung dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, serta keefektifan dari penggunaan kedua metode tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk membantu pembaca dalam memahami serta mengetahui keefektifan antara metode gramatika terjemah dan metode langsung dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the errors in the usage of the particles sa- and sawfa by high school students at Pondok Pesantren As-Sa’adah. These particles in Arabic express the future, but differ in usage and meaning. Errors in their use can cause confusion in sentence interpretation. This descriptive qualitative study used error analysis, collecting data through written tests and interviews. Results show common errors include interchangeable use of sa- and sawfa without considering time context. Factors include limited understanding of time concepts and insufficient practice. The study recommends improved teaching methods and contextual exercises to enhance student comprehension.
