Abstract

This study aimed to describe the spatial abilities of deaf students in KM Extraordinary School in Ruteng. The population in this study were all deaf students in high school The subjects in this study were all students of class X with hearing impairment, amounting to five people. The instrument used in this study was a test item with indicators of spatial ability. To support the test results obtained, interviews were conducted directly with the students about the reasons for giving answers to each question they worked on. In addition, interviews were conducted with teachers to find out their mathematical abilities. The results showed that the spatial ability of deaf students of class X at school extraordinary KM varies according to the cognitive abilities possessed by each child. Indicators identify, classify the elements, shape, or position of a geometry object from a certain point of view are the indicators most mastered by students. As for the indicators stating the position between the elements of a building, constructing and representing geometry models still cannot be mastered by most students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesesuaian buku teks Kemendikbud Matematika kelas VII edisi revisi 2014 dengan Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari Standar Isi, Standar Proses, dan Standar Penilaian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis konten. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tahap pendefinisian unit, penentuan sampel, pencatatan, pereduksi data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan penarasian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian materi dalam buku dengan Standar Isi pada Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari (1) cakupan materi adalah sebesar 90,91%. Pada cakupan materi dalam buku, tidak terdapat pokok bahasan Bidang Cartesius. (2) Kesesuaian KD adalah sebesar 95,45%. (3) Keluasan materi adalah sebesar 90,91%. (4) Kedalaman materi adalah sebesar 90,91%. (5) Keakuratan materi adalah sebesar 81,82%. (6) penyajian materi adalah sebesar 87,27%. Kesesuaian materi dalam buku dengan Standar Proses pada Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari substansinya adalah sebesar 90,9%. Kesesuaian materi dalam buku dengan Standar Penilaian pada Kurikulum 2013 adalah sebesar 54,55%.Kata Kunci: buku teks matematika, materi, standar isi, standar proses, standar penilaian, kurikulum 2013 An Analysis of Content of the Relevance of the Materials in the Mathematics Textbook for Grade VII to Curriculum 2013 AbstractThis study aimed to describe the relevance of the materials in the 2014 revised edition mathematics textbook for Grade VII published by Puskurbuk to Curriculum 2013 in terms of the Content Standar, the Process Standar, and the Assessment Standar. This research was a qualitative study using content analysis. The data were analyzed by means of the instruments that had been validated. The data analysis was carried out through the stages of unit definition, recording, data reduction, conclusion drawing, and narration. The results of the study showed that the relevance of the materials in the book to the Content Standar in Curriculum 2013 is as follows. (1) In terms of the materials coverage, the relevance is 90.91%. (2) In terms of Basic Competencies (BC) in Curriculum 2013, it is 95.45%. (3) In terms of the materials breadth, it is 90.91%. (4) In terms of the materials depth it is 90.91%. (5) In terms of the materials accuracy, it is 81.82%. (6) In terms of the materials presenting, it is 87.27%. The relevance of the materials in the book to the Process Standar in Curriculum 2013 in terms of the substance is 90.9%. The relevance of the materials in the book to the Assessment Standard in Curruculum 2013 is 54.55%.Keywords: mathematics textbook, content, content standar, process standar, assessment standar, curriculum 2013

Abstract

Konservasi merupakan salah satu realisasi perkembangan anak yang menyatakan bahwa sesuatu tetap konstan/konsisten meskipun ditempatkan dalam berbagai posisi dan permukaan wadah yang berbeda-beda. Hasil Penelitian pada 20 Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Manggarai menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan konservasi liquid dan substansi anak-anak usia 6-8 tahun masih sangat rendah. Anak-anak pada usia tersebut masih berada pada tahap operasional konkret. Oleh karena itu, cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut adalah permainan. Permainan yang digunakan bersifat interaktif dan berkarakter dengan memanfaatkan permainan yang biasa mereka lakukan sehari-hari misalnya permainan ular tangga dan permainan kartu domino. Permainan dimodifikasi sedemikian rupa sehingga menjadi permainan Interaktif berkarakter. Agar bisa menjangkau anak-anak dari Sekolah Dasar yang bervariasi, maka kegiatan ini dilakukan di salah satu kelompok Basis Gereja, yaitu KBG Santu Fransiskus. KBG ini berada dalam sebuah Paroki yang biasanya melakukan kegiatan keagamaan. Sehingga kegiatan Permainan Interaktif berkarakter dilakukan secara terintegrasi dengan kegiatan keagamaan seperti renungan kitab suci, belajar lagu rohani dan doa bersama. Kegiatan dengan menggunakan permainan ini tidak hanya untuk anak usia 6-8 tahun, tapi juga untuk yang berusia 9 tahun. Kemampuan konservasi yang ingin ditingkatkan pun tidak hanya liquid dan substansi, tapi juga pada kemampuan konservasi panjang.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the mathematical connection abilities of students who take cooperative learning with the Open-Ended approach with students' mathematical connection skills who follow learning with conventional approaches. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the design of posttest only control group design. The population is all students of class X SMK Aloysius Ruteng with the number of students. Sampling is done using random sampling techniques, with the first class equivalence test. Data on students' mathematical connection abilities were collected using tests and interviews. Test in the form of a description question. Data were analyzed using t-test. The results of the analysis show that thitung = 4.645 and ttable = 1.999 at the level of significance and degrees of freedom dk = n1 + n1 - 2. Because tcount t table H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means that students' mathematical connection ability that follows cooperative learning with an open-ended approach is more better than students' mathematical connection skills that follow a conventional learning approach. In students who have a high initial ability to give treatment does not significantly affect the increase in the average value of students' mathematical connection abilities. In students who have the initial ability to be given treatment, it is quite significant in increasing the average value of mathematical connection abilities, while in students who have a low initial ability to give treatment does not affect the increase in the average value of mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kesesuaian buku teks Kemendikbud Matematika kelas VIII edisi revisi 2017 dengan Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari Standar Isi yang meliputi aspek cakupan materi, Kompetisi Dasar, keluasan materi, kedalaman materi, dan keakuratan materi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis konten. Objek penelitian ini adalah materi buku yang terdapat dalam buku teks Matematika SMP kelas VIII edisi revisi 2017 yang diterbitkan oleh Puskurbuk. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah divalidasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tahap pendefinisian unit, penentuan sampel, pencatatan, pereduksian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan penarasian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesesuaian materi dalam buku dengan Standar Isi pada Kurikulum 2013 dilihat dari cakupan materi adalah sebesar 100%, Kesesuaian KD dalam buku dengan KD pada Kurikulum 2013 adalah sebesar 100%. Kesesuaian keluasan materi dalam buku dengan keluasan materi dalam Kurikulum 2013 adalah sebesar 98%. Tidak terdapat bahasan materi beserta contoh yang berkaitan dengan cara menentukan kuartil data ganda pada pokok bahasan Statistika. Kesesuaian kedalaman materi dalam buku dengan kedalaman materi dalam Kurikulum 2013 adalah sebesar 100%. Sedangkan keakuratan materi dalam buku adalah sebesar 88%. Terdapat beberapa ketidakakuratan materi dalam buku, seperti ketidaksesuaian contoh yang berkaitan dengan fungsi dan bukan fungsi, kesalahan operasi aljabar pada alternatif penyelesaian masalah dari contoh soal relasi dan fungsi, ketidakakuratan dalam penulisan persamaan pada alternatif jawaban pokok bahasan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel, ketidakakuratan Pengertian lingkaran dan Statistika, dan ketidaksesuaian dalam penyajian contoh Prisma segidelapan. Hal ini kurang sesuai dengan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 yang terdapat dalam buku tersebut.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan  kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X SMK Santo Aloisius Ruteng tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dibandingkan dengan yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) SMK Santo Aloisius Ruteng yang tersebar dalam tiga kelas. Dua kelas dipilih secara acak untuk dijadikan sampel penelitian. Kelas X TKR B terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT sedangkan kelas X TKR C diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa skor kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang dianalisis dengan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung.Abstract (Effect Of Cooperative Learning Model Of Numbered Head Together Type On Mathematical Communication Ability)This study was aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model NHT type towards students’ mathematical communication skill of grade X SMK Santo Aloisius Ruteng in academic year 2017/2018. This study was experimental research with post-test only control group design. The population of this study was all the tenth-grade students majoring in Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR). X TKR B selected as an experimental class taught by applying cooperative learning type NHT while X TKR C taught by direct learning model. The data obtained was analyzed by t-test. Analysis data result obtained that students’ mathematical communication skill that using cooperative learning type NHT is higher than students’ mathematical communication skill that using direct learning model.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is one of the core standards in mathematics or as a key component of mathematical skills. Understanding mathematical concepts is knowledge that involves a thorough understanding of the underlying concepts and the basis behind the algorithms performed in mathematics. A student must have this understanding if he wants to understand mathematics in depth. The problem may not be because it is solely related to the learning process, but rather the internal intelligence of students. This study examines how the relationship between spatial and emotional intelligence with students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is a correlational research with multiple correlation research design. This research involved 66 students of SMP class VIII in Kab. East Manggarau, NTT as a sample. Data collection is done by using questionnaires and tests. Before the data were analyzed correlatively, both simple and multiple, the analysis prerequisite tests were carried out, namely normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. The results of data analysis show that these three test requirements are met and the results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional and spatial intelligence and students' understanding of mathematical concepts (either partially or simultaneously). Simultaneously, these two intelligences contribute 16.08% to increasing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The study provides a recommendation that in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts, consideration of students' basic intelligence factors needs to be considered before being treated or designing a mathematics learning environment

Abstract

This research aims to; 1) comparing the Problem Based Learning model with the direct learning model from the perspective of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. 2). Look at the interaction of effects between learning models and gender on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The design of this study used a 2 x 2 factorial design. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique by first conducting a class equality test. Data was collected using a test technique in the form of a question matter. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The analysis shows that; 1). The problem-based learning model of learning is better than the direct learning model in terms of students 'mathematical punishment abilities, 2. There was no interaction between the learning models used with the gender on the students' mathematical punishment abilities of students. Both male and female students requested compilation to be taught by applying the problem-based learning model to the direct learning model. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; 1) membandingkan model Problem Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran langsung dalam perspektif kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. 2). Melihat interaksi efek antara model pembelajaran dan gender terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan desain factorial 2 x 2. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simpel random sampling dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan uji kesetaraan kelas. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik tes dengan bentuk soal uraian. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa; 1). Model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran lansung dalam hal kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, 2. Tidak terdapat efek interaksi antara model pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan gender terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Baik siswa laki-laki maupun siswa perempuan sama baiknya ketika dibelajarkan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning dari pada model pembelajaran lansung. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan konservasi panjang pada siswa yang memiliki usia 6-7 tahun di Kabupaten Manggarai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sampel yang diambil secara acak sejumlah 80 anak. Siswa yang berusia 6 tahun berjumlah 40 anak, begitu juga dengan siswa yang berumur 7 tahun, yang diambil dari SD di Kabupaten Manggarai. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket konservasi panjang yang berisi pernyataan-pernyataan mengenai berbagai kondisi yang menjelaskan konsep konservasi panjang. Setiap anak diberi tes kemampuan konservasi panjang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan wawancara mengenai alasan memberi jawaban pada tes konservasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa golongan konserver pada siswa yang berusia 6 tahun sebesar 0% dan 7 tahun sebesar 7,5%. Selanjutnya, golongan konserver parsial pada siswa yang berusia 6 tahun sebesar 7,5% dan 7 tahun sebesar 22,5%. Selain itu, untuk golongan non-konserver pada siswa yang berusia 6 tahun sebesar 92,5% dan 7 tahun sebesar 70%. Hasil ini menunjukkan kemampuan konservasi panjang pada siswa yang memiliki usia 6-7 tahun di Kabupaten Manggarai masih rendah dan sebagian besar belum memahami konsep konservasi panjang. Kata kunci: konservasi panjang; siswa usia 6-7 tahun; deskriptif kualitatif The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of Manggaraian children of age six to seven in length conservation area. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The random sampling technique was used to select 80 children, consisted of 40 children per age. The instrument of this research was a length conservation questionnaire containing statements about conditions that explain the concept of length conservation. Each child was given a length conservation skill test followed by an interview about the reasons for providing answers to the conservation test. The results showed that none of the six-year-old children was conserver, only 7.5% were partial conserver, and 92.5% were non-conserver. For seven-year-old children, 7.5% were conserver, 22.5% were partial, and 70% were non-conserver. These results indicate the lengthy-term conservation ability of children age six to seven in Manggarai Regency is still low and most have not understood the concept of length conservation. Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is an ability that must be possessed by students. Therefore, every student must have this ability. One way to improve mathematical problem solving skills is to use the Problem Base Learning model with peer tutors. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with peer tutors compared to the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities using conventional learning models. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The population in this study was class VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Ruteng for the Academic Year 2021/2022 which was divided into five classes. Before determining the experimental and control classes, a class equivalence test was first carried out and the five equivalent classes were obtained. Two classes were randomly selected to be the experimental class and the control class from all five classes using the class equivalence test. Both classes received pretest and posttest by working on mathematical problem-solving ability test questions that had been tested for validity and reliability before. From the data obtained, the hypothesis t test was then carried out. The results of the hypothesis test showed that it was rejected and accepted. Based on the results of the t test on the gain score data using the independent sample t test, the value obtained is > , and the average gain in the experimental class is 0.63 which is higher than the average gain in the control class, which is 0.45. The results of this study indicate that the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with Peer Tutors is higher than that of students who take conventional learning. Based on the results of this study, teachers can use the Problem Based Learning model of peer tutoring to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students
