Abstract

Background: Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the leading causes of infant mortality worldwide, especially in developing countries. Lack of health literacy among mothers of toddlers is one factor that worsens the early treatment of ARI. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of leaflet-based communicative counseling in improving the health literacy of mothers of toddlers to prevent ARI. Method: The research design was a quantitative pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was all mothers of 31 toddlers detected with ARI, selected using a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a valid and reliable questionnaire used to measure maternal knowledge before and after the intervention. Result: The results showed a significant increase in maternal knowledge after counseling (p = 0.000). Conclusion: This indicates that leaflet-based communicative counseling is efficacious in improving the health literacy of mothers of toddlers. It is recommended that health workers at community health centers routinely provide similar counseling.

Abstract

Workload is an essential component in calculating energy requirements. The Workload Indicators of Staffing Need method is a method for calculating energy requirements based on the actual workload carried out by the workforce. This research aims to determine the description of labor needs in the Medical Records Installation using work sampling techniques and then use this to calculate labor requirements. This research was conducted at the Medical Records Installation of the Lampung Province Regional Mental Hospital for 8 days. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting observations and in-depth interviews. The research results showed that calculating the number of staffing needs using the Workload Indicators of Staffing Need method showed that the registration section was 4.8 people, the inpatient registration section was 0.5 people, the analysis section was 0.5, the coding section was 1.0 people, the reporting section was 3.7 people, filling requires 6.0 people, emergency room registration 1.1 people, the needed total staff is 18 people to adjust the workload, so that departments experiencing delays can complete their work. From the results of this research, it is recommended that the management of the Lampung Province Regional Mental Hospital consider adding 6 officers to suit the workload so that delays in completing tasks at the medical records installation can be resolved.

Abstract

T The less than optimal performance of jumantik cadres will have an impact on the lack of supervision of mosquito nests and increase cases of DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) disease (IR). Data for inactive jumantik cadres were 45 people (61.6%) who were active as many as 28 people (38.4%) Data from Tulang Bawang district noted that in 2021 the Menggala Health Center had the most positive cases and suspected dengue fever, there were 54 positive case findings and 1 case dengue death. This study aims to see the correlation of individual factors on the performance of jumantik cadres in the Working Area of the Menggala Health Center in 2022. This research is an analytical research using a cross sectional approach which has a sample size of 65 jumantik cadres with a quota sampling technique using a questionnaire research instrument and filled in by respondents, bivariate analysis using the chi square test. There is a significant relationship between motivation P value = (0.015), OR = (3.714), satisfaction P value = (0.19), OR = (3.470), attitude P value = (0.023), OR = (3.375) with performance jumantik cadres in the Menggala Health Center working area. The Menggala Health Center office provides training for cadres related to management, implementation, monitoring, and mosquito nests, facilitating cadres in the form of office stationery and equipment to facilitate the performance of jumantik cadres at work.
