Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk : menigkatkan keterampilan guru PAK Indonesia dalam merancang dan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh guru PAK Indonesia sebanyak 214 orang yang terdiri dari 83 orang guru SD, 79orang guru SMP dan 52 orang guru SMA/K. kegiatan ini dilakukan secara virtual melalui zoom dan livestreaming melalui channel youtube.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Adapun tahapan-tahapan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, pre test, pelatihan, penugasan/pendampingan, post test, dan penutup. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan selama lima hari pertemuan, dimana pada hari pertama pembukaan sekaligus materi sosialisasi dan dilanjutkan kegiatan inti yaitu pelatidan dan pendampingan pembuatan multimedia interaktif, penugasan dan post test. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta dapat membuat multimedia interaktif dengan menggunakan PPT. Hasil post test yang dilakukan pada tahap akhir kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan yang signifikan dalam membuat multimedia interaktif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan guru pendidikan agama Kristen tentang materi pendidikan agama Kristen multicultural dan pengetahuan tentang pengembangan karier guru PAK; 2) Meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam merancang dan melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan baik. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari 30 orang guru PAK yang berasal dari kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat, Maluku. Kegiatan ini dilaksankan dari tanggal 30-31 Agustus 2021. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode pembekalan dan pelatihan, yaitu pembekalan materi PAK Multikultural, Pengembangan karier guru PAK dan pelatihan penyusunan PTK. Pada setiap awal kegiatan selalu dilakukan pretest dan diakhir kegiatan dilaksanakan posttest dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi goggle formulir. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PKM menunjukkan bahwa dari aspek pengetahuan tentang PAK Multikultural mengalami peningkatan sebesar 23,4% dan untuk materi pengembangan karier guru PAK mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20%. Sedangkan keterampilan peserta mengalami peningkatan sebesar 82,54% dari 5 indikator yang dinilai.Abstract: This community service activity (PKM) aims to: 1) increase the knowledge of Christian religious education teachers about multicultural Christian religious education materials and knowledge about career development of PAK teachers; 2) Improve the ability of participants in designing and implementing classroom action research (CAR). The participants of the activity consisted of 30 PAK teachers from the West Seram district, Maluku. This activity will be held from 30-31 August 2021. This community service is carried out using debriefing and training methods, namely debriefing on Multicultural PAK material, PAK teacher career development and training in CAR preparation. At the beginning of each activity a pretest is always carried out and at the end of the activity a posttest is carried out by using the google form application. The results obtained from PKM activities show that from the aspect of knowledge about Multicultural PAK it has increased by 24.4% and for career development materials for PAK teachers it has increased by 20%. Meanwhile, the skills of the participants increased by 83.6% from the 5 indicators assessed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru PAUD dalam pembelajaran dan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelatihan dan pendampingan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat film animasi untuk pembelajaran anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan langkah-langkah diagnostik, action plan, action taking, evaluasi dan reflesi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini melibatkan 15 orang guru PAUD sebagai mitra partisipatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan malalui kajian literatur dan penelitian relevan, wawancara, observasi, pretest dan postest, dan dokumentasi hasil karya peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAUD terkendala dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis film Animasi dan belum pernah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan sebelumnya. Pada aspek pengetahuan, 10 orang mengatakan sangat paham dan 5 orang mengatakan paham. Sedangkan keterampilan membuat film animasi, ada sebanyak 13 orang mengatakan sudah terampil dan 2 orang mengatakan masih kurang terampil akan tetapi sudah bisa membuat film animasi.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the existence by Christian Religion Teacher (PAK) in the learning process during the covid-19 pandemic. This is a descriptive qualitative study. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews with online questionnaires through the telegram group Guru PAK Indonesia which consists of 880 members. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out in 2 stages, in the first stage 421 PAK teachers were the main respondents and the second questionnaire was distributed as many as 581 PAK teachers to obtain supporting data. From the results of the study, it was found that the existence of PAK teachers in learning was different, some were in a situation of smooth internet access, some were in areas that were not smooth and in areas where there was no internet access. Poor internet access, limited economic capacity and limited understanding of ICT are obstacles faced by many PAK teachers in learning. House-to-house learning, assignments, taking part in online workshops, learning on their own from the internet or even asking for help from peers are efforts made by PAK teachers to remain able to carry out their responsibilities as a professional PAK teacher in carrying out learning amid Covid- 19. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi guru PAK dalam pembelajaran di tengah pandemi Covid-19.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dengan penyebaran kuesioner secara online melalui grup telegram Guru PAK Indonesia yang beranggotakan 880orang.Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan dengan 2 tahapan, pada tahap pertama 421 orang guru PAK menjadi responden utama dan penyebaran kuesioner kedua sebanyak 581 orang guru PAK untuk mendapatkan data pendukung. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keberadaan guru PAK dalam pembelajaran berbeda-beda, ada yang berada dalam situasi akses internet yang lancar, ada yang berada di daerah yang kurang lancar dan di daerah yang tidak ada akses internet. Akses internet yang kurang baik, kemampuan ekonomi yang terbatas dan pemahaman TIK yang masih terbatas menjadi kendala yang dihadapi oleh banyak guru PAK dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dari rumah ke rumah, penugasan, mengikuti kegiatan workshop online, belajar sendiri dari internet atau bahkan meminta bantuan dari teman sejawat menjadi upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PAK agar tetap mampu melakukan tanggung jawab sebagai seorang guru PAK yang profesional  dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di tengah Covid-19.

Abstract

Papua and Chuseok from South Korea, within a global context, employing Clifford Geertz's theory of cultural symbolism. Bakar Batu is a deeply rooted culinary and communal ritual in Papua, bringing people together in a shared act of cooking that honors ancestral spirits and nature. In comparison, Chuseok is a Korean harvest festival that celebrates gratitude for the year's abundance and includes ancestral rites and communal sharing of traditional foods. This study uses a qualitative approach to examine the symbolic meanings embedded in these two traditions through literature review and thematic data analysis. The findings reveal that, despite the forces of globalization and modernization, both Bakar Batu and Chuseok uphold collective identity and spiritual values, illustrating Geertz's perspective that symbols embody culture and reinforce social unity and cultural continuity. Each tradition, while evolving, remains resilient in preserving its symbolic meaning, underscoring the global relevance of cultural rituals in affirming identity, fostering community solidarity, and transmitting spiritual values across generations. This study contributes to global discourses on cultural preservation, emphasizing the universal role of ritual in sustaining identity and social cohesion amidst diverse cultural landscapes.

Abstract

This research explores religious diversity and the value of harmony in the traditions of the Waraka community using a descriptive qualitative approach. The primary objective is to analyze how religious diversity is recognized in daily life and how values of harmony are promoted through their traditions. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document review with key informants such as the King of Waraka, his wife, religious leaders from Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam, as well as community members from various religions, including the King’s daughter-in-law from Manado. The collected data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques. The findings show that the Waraka community practices interfaith tolerance through the joint construction of places of worship and shared religious celebrations. Traditions like “Ronda Kambing” and “Natsar Negeri” serve as concrete examples of interfaith interaction that strengthen social understanding. This research concludes that the religious harmony practices in Waraka can inspire the creation of inclusive and tolerant societies globally, with an emphasis on educational approaches and more structured interfaith dialogue.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate lecturer competencies at State Christian Religious Universities (PTKKN) in Indonesia, focusing on pedagogic, personality, social, and professional dimensions. Lecturers from seven state Christian higher education institutions (HEI)—Ambon, Manado, Tarutung, Toraja, Palangkaraya, Kupang, and Sentani—were sampled, with 21 lecturers selected from each institution for a total of 147 participants. Mix-method research was employed, incorporating a questionnaire based on Perdirjen Number 2626 of 2023 for the quantitative analysis, which involved descriptive statistics to summarize the data. Qualitative data were gathered through online in-depth interviews with five lecturers from each institution, selected based on survey responses to ensure data saturation. Thematic analysis and data triangulation were used to provide a richer understanding of the quantitative findings. The study revealed that most lecturers are at Levels 1 and 2, demonstrating a basic understanding and application of pedagogical competencies but needing further development in evaluation, reflection, collaboration, and mentoring. Lecturers at Level 3 showed proficiency in evaluation and improvement, while Levels 4 and 5 exhibited advanced collaboration and expert mentoring skills. Challenges identified include additional workload and administrative responsibilities at lower levels and difficulties in engaging less experienced colleagues at higher levels. This study recommends enhancing development programs to improve foundational knowledge at Levels 1 and 2, reinforcing collaboration and mentoring at Levels 3 and 4, and addressing workload issues to support professional growth. Continuous professional development is crucial for improving educational quality and advancing lecturer competencies at Christian HEI

Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Adapun tahapantahapan dalam kegiatan ini adalah Pembekalan, pre test, pelatihan, penugasan/pendampingan, post test, evaluasi dan penutup. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan selama lima hari pertemuan, dimana pada hari pertama pembukaan, hari kedua dan ketiga kegiatan pembekalan, hari keempat dan kelima dilanjutkan kegiatan inti yaitu pelatidan dan pendampingan pembuatan kelas virtual interaktif berbasis media social facebook, penugasan dan post test. Abstract

The Maranggap tradition in Batak Toba society carries deep social and traditional medical values. This ethnographic qualitative research examines the changes and continuities of Maranggap in the face of Christian influences and modernization, as well as their impact on collective identity and social cohesion. The study was conducted over six months (January–June 2024) in Humbang Hasundutan, Sidikkalang, Girsang Sipangan Bolon, and Tanah Jawa. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with customary leaders, religious figures, and community members, as well as participatory observation. Thematic analysis was used to identify key patterns and themes. Findings reveal that in Girsang Sipangan Bolon and Tanah Jawa, Maranggap has been replaced by Christian-style thanksgiving rituals, while in Humbang Hasundutan and Sidikkalang, it is still practiced with modifications. Christian influences are reflected in the use of prayers, hymns, and new interpretations of traditional elements. Modernization has led to changes in food offerings, event organization through digital platforms, and a decline in the role of traditional birth attendants due to medical regulations. However, traditional health practices—such as marbara (smoke healing) and the use of betel leaves, turmeric, and ginger—remain relevant. The integration of traditional and modern medical knowledge is growing, and technology aids in preserving and disseminating Maranggap’s health-related wisdom. This study highlights how traditional values adapt within shifting religious and contemporary contexts, and the ongoing challenge of sustaining cultural identity in a transforming society.
