Abstract

The Industry 4.0 is a change in the perspective of how to view an industry based on the resources owned, to operate according to needs. The sponge iron industry is a raw material industry to support the steel industry which is intended as material for shipbuilding and combat vehicles used by the Indonesian National Millitary. It is necessary to plan and design a sponge iron plant with an Industrial 4.0 model. The implementation of the Industry 4.0 model aims to optimize the operational needs of the plant, especially the sponge iron plant, which is relatively rare in Indonesia. The concept of a factory layout (cellular layout, modular layout), the concept of lean manufacturing, as well as the concepts and principles of the smart factory (Cyber-Physical Systems) are concepts that will be applied in the planning and design of the Industrial 4.0 sponge iron plant layout. In order to produce an optimal layout, a simulation model using FlexSim 2018 Software and layout optimization is used the Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique (CRAFT) algorithm with the help of CRAFT Software Integrated Microsoft Excel 2019.

Abstract

The number of iron sand reserves is mostly spread in the coastal waters of Indonesia, from the coast of Sumatra, the southern of Java to Bali, the beaches of Sulawesi, beaches in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and the northern coast of Papua. Total reserves for ore are 173,810,612 tons and metal as much as 25,412,652.62 tons. But its utilization was not optimal because PT. Krakatau Steel, and PT. Krakatau Posco has produced steel plates only 24,000 to 36,000 tons per year. While the need for steel plates for the shipping industry each year requires 900,000 tons per year. With the need for raw material for steel plates in the form of iron sponges with Fe ≥ 60%, PT. Krakatau Steel is still imported from abroad. The proof is PT. Krakatau Steel before and during the year 2000 still imported Iron Ore Pellets from the countries of Sweden, Chille and Brazil for 3,500,000 tons per year. This condition is the cause of the national steel industry unable to compete with the foreign steel industry because imported raw materials are subject to import duties. This is an opportunity to build a steel raw material company because all this time the steel raw material industry in Indonesia has only two companies. This condition encourages the manufacture of iron sponges, with the process of making iron sponges with technology adapted to installed production capacity. This study analysed the manufacture of iron sponges using Cipatujah iron sand, as raw material for the manufacture of iron sponges, with the results obtained in the form of iron sponges with the highest levels of Fe ≥60.44%. This can be used for the purposes of raw materials for steel making PT. Krakatau Steel (PT. KS), because so far PT. KS claims that Fe <60% local sponge iron products. This can encourage the independence of steel raw materials, which impacts on the independence of the defence industry. But the government must also protect and prioritize steel raw materials for national production for national steel production. With the national government steel industry, the consortium of vendors supplying raw material (iron sponge) to maintain the quality and supply of continuous sponge iron.Keywords: iron sand, iron pellet, iron sponge

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the revision of Law Number 34 of 2004 and the issue of the return of ABRI's dual function and civil supremacy in the context of Indonesian democracy and reform. The mixed methods approach with SEM PLS-4 and NVivo 12 analysis is used to achieve that goal. The results of the analysis using NVivo 12 showed that ABRI's dwifunction would not return and civil supremacy was maintained because, legally, the TNI remained focused on its role as a tool of national defense. The civil government, through the Parliament and public supervision, has full authority to oversee the TNI so that the TNI still maintains its tested neutrality. The results of the SEM PLS-4 analysis show that the TNI Law's political variable on the issue of ABRI's dual function and civilian supremacy has a statistically significant effect, with a T-statistic value of 5.073 and P-value of 0.000 and a large effect on the model (F-square 0.489). The contribution of this research is to provide an understanding of the importance of a balance between freedom of opinion, politics, and the interests of national defense as a system that supports each other in the post-reform era, as well as in facing the challenges of reform and hybrid warfare towards Indonesia Gold Indonesia 2045. The limitations of this study lie in a limited time, which affects the depth of analysis and data scope so as to limit the perfection of the results of the research as a whole.

Abstract

Kevlar-Polyethylene (UHMWPE) composite materials have become a focus in the defense industry to improve the durability of ballistic armor, especially against high-caliber weapons. Kevlar is known for its high tensile strength and resistance to penetration and heat, while UHMWPE offers elasticity and effective energy absorption. The combination of these two materials creates a composite that is not only lightweight, but also able to withstand projectile penetration better through energy dispersion and absorption mechanisms. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Kevlar-Polyethylene composites in providing ballistic protection for high-caliber weapons. The results show that the use of this composite significantly improves ballistic protection performance compared to conventional materials, due to its synergistic properties. In addition, this composite shows good resistance to extreme environments, thereby increasing service life and efficiency in defense applications.

Abstract

This study analyzes the strategic role of quality-based marketing models in enhancing the competitiveness of kombucha products, with a specific focus on Rumah SCOBY DBA, produced by the Yayasan Dharma Bintang Akademia. By integrating Total Quality Management (TQM), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC), the research explores how quality-driven frameworks contribute to marketing effectiveness, consumer trust, brand positioning, and sustainable performance in the functional beverage industry. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with conceptual analysis, the study systematically examined publications from 2015 to 2025 across leading academic databases, focusing on themes of quality management, functional beverage marketing, kombucha production, consumer behavior, and digital strategies. The findings reveal that product quality—characterized by fermentation stability, microbiological safety, and nutritional consistency—serves as the primary driver of consumer purchase intention. Process quality, through standardized SOPs, hygiene protocols, and traceability systems, reinforces credibility, while service quality, including transparent labeling, health education, and digital engagement, strengthens brand trust. Integrating TQM principles into marketing fosters consumer loyalty, differentiates brands in competitive markets, and supports long-term sustainability. This study provides practical guidance for producers, community-based enterprises, and policymakers to adopt quality-driven marketing models, offering a novel conceptual framework tailored to kombucha products and mapping future research directions in functional beverage innovation.

Abstract

The North Natuna Sea has high strategic and economic importance because it is an important trade route and has abundant fishery resources. However, the region is prone to illegal fishing and border violations. In 2020-2022, there were 162 violations, while 2023 recorded 14 warship contacts. The Indonesian Navy has organized security operations with warships and maritime patrol aircraft. However, budget constraints are a major obstacle. Autonomous vehicles are a potential solution due to their lower cost, high efficiency, and advanced monitoring capabilities. This research aims to determine the priorities and criteria of Autonomous vehicles suitable for patrolling the North Natuna Sea. This research uses a quantitative method with Analytic Network Process (ANP) to analyze the relationship between system elements. The data was analyzed with a Multi Criteria Decision Making approach using Super Decision version 3.10 software to generate objective decisions. The main criteria included Performance, Operational, Maintenance, and Cost. The ANP model allows the evaluation of interrelated factors, determining the priority of Autonomous Vehicles in patrolling the North Natuna Sea. The results showed that the main criteria in the selection of Autonomous Vehicles for patrolling in the North Natuna Sea were Performance (0.441), followed by Cost (0.267), Operational (0.181), and Maintenance (0.111). At the sub-criteria level, Endurance has the highest priority (0.151), followed by Acquisition Cost (0.118) and Range (0.098). For vehicle alternatives, UAV ranked first (0.509), followed by AUV (0.281), UCAV (0.136), and USV (0.074). These results show that UAV is the best choice for maritime patrol based on the factors of performance, cost, and operational range.
