Abstract

This Study aims to describe role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a Library Service Media began to be carried out by the Diniyyah Lampung Institute of Technology and Science (INSTIDLA) as a form of adjustment to the development and needs of students in the current era of Society 5.0. This study aims to determine the influence of information and communication technology on INSTIDLA library services. This research uses a qualitative method with an analytical descriptive approach where the role of ICT is explained comprehensively in the INSTIDLA Library as a Library Service Media. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. The object of this study is instidla's library and social media services. INSTIDLA Library Services is a combination of manual services and information and communication technology (ICT) based services that support library professionalism in improving INSTIDLA library services. The result of this study is a significant influence between the development of ICT and library services through social media, including helping and facilitating the work of library staff, attracting visitors to the library, and facilitating the communication of librarians with library visitors and finally, the library information base via social media

Abstract

Applying artificial intelligence (AI) in digital libraries can enhance operational efficiency and facilitate the implementation of green library concepts. This study aims to explore the potential of AI technology to optimize digital library services and support environmentally friendly principles. The data were gathered through a literature review and an observational study of the implementation of AI in various libraries. The qualitative descriptive approach was used to investigate how AI affects the automation of processes like cataloging and information retrieval and implementing chatbots for user interaction. The study's findings demonstrate that AI, encompassing natural language processing (NLP) search systems and chatbots, enhances the speed and accuracy of services while reducing reliance on printed materials and energy consumption. Furthermore, AI reduces carbon footprints by minimizing the physical storage space and energy consumption required for operations. The findings of this study indicate that the integration of AI in digital libraries not only enhances the efficiency of services but also supports environmental sustainability, making them more environmentally friendly and effective.

Abstract

By using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) paradigm, EUCS is a model or method used to measure the level of user satisfaction with an information system by considering several indicators such as content, accuracy, format, ease and timeliness. This study attempts to assess the level of user satisfaction with Valery , a virtual resource library at the Bandar Lampung University Library that has a unique voice feature that makes it interesting to study. By using quantitative techniques, this study is descriptive. In this study, 88 participants were surveyed. Information was collected using a survey using a Likert scale. This study uses the mean and grand mean formulas for data analysis. Finally, the evaluation findings are presented on an interval scale. By using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model, the Bandar Lampung University Library evaluated Valery , a virtual resource library, and found that users were generally satisfied with its system with an average score of 4.51. By using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model, Valery  (Virtual Resources Library) of Bandar Lampung University Library received a "Very High" rating in the interval range from 4.20 to 5.0. Suggestions and input for further research are: first, it is expected to conduct research with the same theme but with different perception indicators in order to expand again regarding research and the use of the Valery  application, for example reading access by other users: second, the phenomenon of the number of students is inversely proportional to the number of Valery  digital collections and inversely proportional to the number of users who have installed Valery
