Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to determine the suitability of the principals’ performance in carrying out managerial tasks with the established standards, including performance in: (1) leading the school in the context of the utilization of school resources optimally, (2) managing changes and development of the school towards an effective learning organization, (3) creating a culture and school climate which are conducive and innovative, and (4) utilizing the advancement of ICT in learning and school management. The approach and evaluation model chosen in this study was a goal-based evaluation model which was combined with evaluation model that were generally developed in several government institutions. The research method was qualitative. The data were collected by using observation, interview, and documents. The results of the research showed that: (1) the performance of the principals in leading the school were in good category, (2) the performance of the principals in managing change and school development were in good category, (3) the performance of the principal in creating a culture and school climate were in good category, and (4) the performance of the principal in the use of ICT in teaching and school management were in enough category. The conclusion of the research was, of the four aspects of the performance of principals evaluated, three of them showed the achievement of performance was good category, and one aspect was in enough category. However, in each aspect in the evaluation there were still some performance criteria that have not been achieved well, or there were still in the enough category.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesesuaian antara prinsip-prinsip kinerja yang digunakan dalam menunaikan tugas managerial dengan standar kinerja yang telah ditetapkan, meliputi: (1) upaya memajukan sekolah dalam konteks pemanfaatan sumber-sumber sekolah secara optimal; (2) mengelola perubahan-perubahan dan pengembangan sekolah menuju organisasi belajar yang efektif; (3) menciptakan budaya dan suasana sekolah yang kondusif dan inovatif; (4) penggunaan ICT dalam pembelajaran dan manajemen sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan evaluasi sebagai dengan model goal based yang secara umum dikembangkan sebagai model mengevaluasi lembaga-lembaga pemerintahan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan: (1) kinerja kepemimpinan di sekolah sudah dalam kategori baik, (2) prinsip-prinsip kinerja dalam mengelola perubahan dan pengembangan sekolah dalam kategori baik, (3) prinsip-prinsip kinerja dalam menciptakan budaya dan suasana sekolah dalam kategori baik, (4) prinsip-prinsip kinerja dalam menggunakan ICT pembelajaran serta pengelolaan sekolah dalam kategori baik. Kesimpulannya adalah, dari empat aspek prinsip kinerja yang dievaluasi, tiga diantaranya dalam kategori baik dan satu diantaranya kategori cukup.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze rewards, punishments, and their implications for improving the performance of educators at Darul Huffaz Islamic Boarding School Pesawaran - Lampung. This study uses a qualitative case study approach, where the researcher uses interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain valid and accurate data. The study results show that appreciation in an organization is essential because it appreciates those who have tried to change the way they work. Sanctions can weaken behavior and reduce the frequency of subsequent behavior, usually consisting of requesting an unintended consequence. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods in research and interview techniques. Based on the data obtained from the implementation of reward and punishment and its implications for improving the performance of educators at the Darul Huffaz Islamic boarding school Pesawaran - Lampung, it can be concluded that the implementation of reward, and punishment for educators at the Darul Huffaz Islamic boarding school Pesawaran - Lampung is appropriate and the implications can improve performance educators at the Darul Huffaz Islamic boarding school Pesawaran – Lampung.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of job descriptions for boarding school administrators and their implications for performance discipline. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used in this study was carried out in stages, namely data reduction, data display, and verification and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the application of job descriptions at the Riyadus Shalihin Islamic Boarding School in Bandar Lampung has not been carried out properly. This situation is seen from the following indicators as job assistance, job summary, duties and responsibilities, authority, work standards, working conditions, and job specifications.

Abstract

Human resource management will achieve effective and optimal results when carried out using appropriate and good procedures, one of which is planning. The purpose of human resource management is to organize and manage high-quality, reliable, qualified, productive, and professional human resources. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection is conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research involves data reduction, followed by presentation in the form of descriptions, and verification through drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of planning and recruitment of employees in the implementation of human resource management for educational personnel at SMA IT Ar Raihan in Bandar Lampung City is carried out by first evaluating the number of educational personnel needed at SMA Ar-Raihan Bandar Lampung. Once the number is determined, announcements are made through various mass media, including newspapers.

Abstract

School financing management is the whole process of trying to obtain and utilize all funds in schools. Seek as many financial sources and sources as possible to obtain funds from financial sources. Based on the results of the survey, the authors were able to identify problems which included: financial planning (budgeting), implementation (accounting) and auditing (auditing) had not been carried out properly. This study uses a qualitative method. Sources of data in this study consisted of the head of the Madrasah, Chair of the Committee, TU, treasurer, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, teachers. Collecting data in this study using interview techniques, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions which were then described descriptively. By implementing financing management through financial management functions, namely financial planning (budgeting), implementation (accounting), inspection (auditing). The implementation of financing management through financial management functions at MTs Bahrul Ulum Krawang Sari Natar has been running as it should. Through this research, the authors recommend that parties related to financial planning (budgeting) be able to increase the number of educational infrastructure in the form of office/study buildings and inventory.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze in depth the management of Islamic boarding schools in the formation of the entrepreneurial character of the independent students of the Salafiyah Baitul Kirom Islamic Boarding School, South Lampung, starting from the formation strategy, efforts, and forms of entrepreneur education. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis uses an interactive model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) The strategy for forming the independent character of santri entrepreneurs is first, by learning by doing (learning while working) or direct practice, second, there is entrepreneurial management by caregivers which includes training, mentoring and evaluation (2) Efforts in the formation of the character of the independence of the santri entrepreneur by forming initiative skills, overcoming obstacles and problems, self-confidence, doing business without the help of others and being responsible, (3) The character education program for the independence of the santri entrepreneur includes the business of clothing convection, laundry, oyster mushroom cultivation, fishery, cooperatives (canteens), mineral water depots and agriculture.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the extent of Himpaudi organization's effectiveness in improving the quality of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in the city of Bandar Lampung. Using a qualitative approach, this study focuses on a narrative and case study approach. The primary data sources were obtained through interviews with Himpaudi leaders, management members, and relevant PAUD officials in the Bandar Lampung sub-district. Data collection techniques included observation, structured interviews, and document collection. The data analysis process involves data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the gathered information. The research findings reveal that Himpaudi faces challenges in enhancing the quality of PAUD in Bandar Lampung. Despite external support, there are weaknesses in the organization's structure and implementation. Other challenges include ineffective coordination and varying levels of member participation. Although Himpaudi's policies and management are functioning well, there is a need for more internal evaluation and oversight. Furthermore, there are challenges in Himpaudi's PAUD development strategy, particularly concerning expansion, quality improvement, and deeper involvement of the community and partners.

Abstract

This research discusses character education management at the Integrated Curriculum Islamic Elementary School (SDIKT) Robbi Rodhiya in Bandar Lampung City. Character education is an essential part of the educational process to shape a generation with noble morals and ethics. This study aims to evaluate the planning, organization, implementation, and supervision of character education at SDIKT Robbi Rodhiya. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that character education management at SDIKT Robbi Rodhiya prioritizes the role of teachers in instilling character values in students. The character education process involves various aspects, including curriculum, training, and mentoring. Character education planning at this school has been well integrated into the curriculum, while character education organization involves all school components. The implementation of character education includes various activities such as scouting, religious studies, and sports. Character education supervision is carried out through monitoring by teachers and the school community. The results of this research can serve as a reference for other schools in developing effective and sustainable character education management.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of school committee synergy in building a pattern of cooperation between business institutions and SDN 1 Penengahan Bandar Lampung City. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques and procedures were obtained from observation sheets, field notes, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis was carried out in four stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusing drawing or verificatioThe purpose of this study was to determine the role of school committee synergy in building a pattern of cooperation between business institutions and SDN 1 Penengahan Bandar Lampung City. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. KAI in partnership and community development programs; 2) The synergistic role of the school committee as a mediator in building cooperation between PT KAI and SDN 1 Penengahan Bandar Lampung City is very important in realizing partnership and community development programsn. The results of this study indicate that 1) the school committee has developed a pattern of cooperation between SDN 1 Penengahan Bandar Lampung City and CSR from PT. KAI in partnership and community development programs; 2) The synergistic role of the school committee as a mediator in building cooperation between PT KAI and SDN 1 Penengahan Bandar Lampung City is very important in realizing partnership and community development programs.
