Abstract

Digital literacy is a necessary skill for students to enter the 21st century education era. The research aimed to provide an electronic module of Animalia material to train digital literacy for class X high school students which is valid and practical. This research refers to the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate) without disseminate. The validity of the e-module was measured based on the feasibility of contents, the feasibility of presentation and the suitability of the E-Module with the characteristics of the module and digital literacy indicators by education experts and material experts. The practicality of the E-Module was measured based on a readability test utilizing the fry graph, implementation at the limited trial, as well as the response of Biology teachers and class X High School students to E-Modul Animalia. Descriptive-quantitative analysis was applied to the data. The results showed that the Animalia E-Module was very valid, with an overall score of 100%. E-Modules can be deemed practical with the results of the readability test according to the student’s grade level, namely level 10, the findings of the observation of learning implementation yielded a score of 100 %, signifying that the Animalia E-Module is being utilized very effectively in addition to the acquisition of results from teachers’ and students’ responses comprising 96% and 95%, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Animalia E-Module is very valid, practical and feasible for use in learning. Keyword: Online learning, evaluation content, Animalia

Abstract

The six indicators of the Pancasila learner profile are noble character, independence, critical reasoning, creativity, mutual cooperation, and global diversity. The independent indicator is one that can be trained in biology learning. The benefit of being independent in learning was that students could understand their weaknesses and strengths. In the Merdeka Curriculum, class X is required to study biodiversity. An appropriate method is needed so that learning outcomes are achieved. One method that can be used to increase students' self-regulated learning is to implement blended learning using Canvas as a learning management system. This study aimed to produce learning tools in the form of the flow of learning objectives, teaching modules, and LKPD and describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of blended learning tools for biodiversity material to increase students' self-regulated learning. The research method used is research and development. The development stage was carried out at the UNESA Biology Department and then tested on a limited basis at Hang Tuah 2 Sidoarjo High School. Validity was measured based on the validator's assessment, practicality based on teacher and student responses to learning activities, and effectiveness based on student responses, and observations of self-regulated learning. The validation results show that the learning device is very valid with an average score of 4. Based on the teacher's response, the learning device received a response of 99% in the very good category, and then learning based on student responses was 98.6%. The self-regulated learning of students after participating in learning was 93% in the very high category. So that learning devices are proven to be valid, practical, and effective for use in blended learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the gastropod diversity in the Gembolo River, Pungging District, Mojokerto Regency. The sampling method used was manual collection (hand picking) at three observation stations, and species identification was conducted based on morphological characteristics. The results showed that five gastropod species belonging to four families were found in the Gembolo River. The diversity index value of 1.06 indicates a moderate level of diversity. The dominance index value of 0.42 suggests that no single species dominates the gastropod community. In conclusion, the gastropod diversity in the Gembolo River is categorized as moderate, with no dominant species observed. Keywords: Biodiversity, Gastropods, Freshwater Snails, Morphometry

Abstract

This study aims to describe the presence of Pomacea canaliculata in Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, and to identify its morphological and morphometric characteristics. The method used was purposive sampling, with specimens collected from three different locations: Saman Hudi River, Kepatihan Village rice fields, and Kenongo Village rice fields. Morphological observations included shell coiling direction, shell shape and color, aperture shape, umbilicus type, and operculum type. Morphometric measurements covered shell height and width, tentacle length, body whorl height, and aperture height and width. The results showed that Pomacea canaliculata shells are round, with yellowish-brown to dark brown coloration and spiral line patterns following the coiling direction. The aperture is oval to elongated crescent-shaped, slightly widened at the base, with a slit-type umbilicus, and a corneous operculum with concentric rings and a subcentral nucleus. Based on morphometric analysis using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), the largest Pomacea canaliculata individuals were found in Kepatihan Village rice fields, while the smallest were found in Saman Hudi River. Differences in morphology and morphometry among locations indicate significant environmental influences, including habitat conditions and natural selection. Abstract

Donax clams are important in taxonomic studies because they have many variations. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the morphological variations and the abundance of Donax clams; to analyze the habitat profiles of Donax clams at Tengket Bangkalan Madura Beach. The sample of clams were taken by belt transect method. The habitat profile was studied based on the substrate type, water acidity, substrate acidity, salinity and the temperature of water. The data was analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. The results showed that in Beach Tengket Madura found Donax faba which had 15 types. The most abundant variety was creamy with brown spots on the ventral and purplish white with brown spots. The profile of the habitat of D. faba in Tengket Beach was medium sandy substrate with water pH 6.7 and substrate pH 7, salinity 32.6-32.8‰, and temperature 32ᵒC.
