Abstract

Abstract: Mamanda Kutai was a traditional theatre which owned by Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur. Now, Kutai Kartanegara just has one group of Mamanda Kutai, namely Mamanda Panji Berseri. Typically of Mamanda Kutai, there is Ladon (pantun that we humming) first of the show. This research aims to know the characterization text (theme-rheme ) musically from Ladon. The study used a qualitative approach analysis descriptive. This research uses Linguistic Functional Systemic (LFS) approach and musicology. Pantun that made become lyrics, Ladon have Theme and rheme. The Pantun have four-line and every line have four words. Ladon was sung by adding some words to follow the central melody. The structure or arrangement of the word sung (Ladon) is different from the original Pantun. In structure, musical use the musicology approach to variable or characteristic melody.   Abstrak: Mamanda Kutai merupakan teater tradisional yang dimiliki oleh Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur. Saat ini, Kutai Kartanegara tinggal memiliki satu kelompok Mamanda Kutai, yaitu Mamanda Panji Berseri. Ciri khas Mamanda Kutai, yaitu adanya Ladon (pantun yang disenandungkan) pada awal pertunjukannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik teks (tema-rema) dan musikal pada Ladon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Linguistik Fungsional Sistemik (LFS) dan Musikologi. Pantun yang dijadikan lirik Ladon memiliki tema dan rema. Pantun tersebut memiliki empat baris dan setiap barisnya memiliki empat kata. Ladon dinyanyikan dengan menambahkan beberapa kata mengikuti melodi utama. Struktur atau urutan kata dinyanyikan (Ladon) berbeda dengan bentuk pantun aslinya. Secara struktur musikal menggunakan pendekatan Musikologi mengenai variabel atau karakteristik nada.

Abstract

Abstract: Education is one of the efforts to optimize human potential. One of the educational efforts to optimize students' potential is through music education. This research aims to see if teachers can utilize their culture and art (traditional music) as a form of education. Teachers must understand and apply educational ideology in supporting creativity in art education, especially traditional music. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Education as an enculturation channel in the philosophy of education has at least three important roles: education as cultural conservation, education as cultural regression, and education as a cultural transition. Teachers or educators can be creative by correlating their cultural ownership with the three important roles of education. Through the education unit level curriculum (KTSP), the government has begun to provide space for the development of Indonesian arts (culture) education, which has been marginalized from the younger generation's lives.   Abstrak: Pendidikan menjadi salah satu usaha untuk mengoptimalkan potensi manusia. Salah satu upaya pendidikan untuk mengoptimalkan potensi siswa adalah melalui pendidikan seni musik. Tujuan penelitian ini diharapkan guru mampu memaksimalkan kebudayaan dan seni (musik tradisi) yang dimiliki  sebagai sarana pendidikan  Guru harus mampu memahami dan menerapkan ideologi pendidikan dalam menunjang kreativitas pada pendidikan seni, khususnya musik tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pendidikan sebagai saluran enkulturasi dalam filsafat pendidikan setidaknya memiliki tiga peranan penting, yaitu: education as cultural conserveation, education as cultural regression, dan education as cultural transition. Guru atau pendidik bisa berkreasi dengan mengkorelasikan kepemilikan budaya yang dimilikinya dengan ketiga peran penting dari pendidikan. Melalui kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan (KTSP), pemerintah mulai memberikan ruang bagi pengembangan pendidikan seni (kebudayaan) nusantara yang selama ini termarginalkan dari kehidupan generasi muda

Abstract

East Kalimantan is a province rich in natural resources and the diversity of its traditional arts. The diversity of traditional art forms, particularly traditional music, can be observed in the Outback, Coastal, and Palace Music (Kedaton Kutai)—which is still being maintained—of course, cannot be separated from the continuity and changes that accompany it. This study aims to form a collective awareness of the community through a space of contemplation on the sustainable preservation of traditional music with the importance of involving practitioners, artists, communities, cultural observers, academics, and the government as a strengthening of the sustainable literacy movement. Strengthening literacy in traditional music includes documentation, archiving, and recording of WBTB, cultural dissemination, and regeneration processes. This research uses a qualitative approach through case studies. The study results indicate that literacy strengthening in IKN East Kalimantan related to development policies and culture must go hand in hand so that the continuity and change of arts and culture are more dynamic. Kalimantan Timur merupakan provinsi yang kaya akan sumber daya alam maupun keragaman seni tradisinya. Keragaman bentuk kesenian tradisi, khususnya musik tradisi, dapat diamati pada musik Pedalaman, Pesisir, dan musik Istana (Kedaton Kutai)—yang hingga kini masih terus dipertahankan—tentu tidak terlepas dengan adanya kontinuitas dan perubahan yang menyertainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan membentuk kesadaran kolektif masyarakat melalui ruang kontemplasi terhadap pelestarian musik tradisi yang berkelanjutan dengan pentingnya melibatkan praktisi, seniman, masyarakat, budayawan, akademisi dan pemerintah, sebagai penguatan gerakan literasi berkelanjutan. Penguatan literasi pada musik tradisi di antaranya: pendokumentasian, pengarsipan, dan pencatatan WBTB, diseminasi budaya dan proses regenerasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan literasi di IKN Kalimantan Timur terkait kebijakan pembangunan dan kebudayaan harus berjalan seiring, agar kontinuitas dan perubahan seni dan budaya di IKN lebih dinamis.

Abstract

Bedandeng is one of the traditional vocals found in the Kutai tribe in Tenggarong District and is sung while working (in the fields) and putting children to sleep. Currently, many young people from the Kutai tribe are not familiar with the Bedandeng song because it is rarely performed, so they do not know its musical characteristics and the context in which it is spoken. Bedandeng song research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive analysis approach to determine musical forms and (non-musical) speech contexts. There are four Bedandeng lyrics which adjust the function, place, and activities of the singer (wailing, advising, and putting the child to sleep). The four lyrics of Bedandeng have musical characteristics by Jean Ferris which include phrases (antecedents and consequents), melodies (C – D – Eb – F – G – Ab), themes (adjusting the place and activities of the singer), scale (C scale Original Minor), and uses melismatic and syllabic concepts in each of its lyrics. Context of speech is also found in Bedandeng's fourth lyrics, namely culture, situation, social, and ideology. The songs in the four Bedandeng lyrics have a linearity that is related to the musical characteristics and speech context (oral tradition) in the lyrics conveyed by the singer.
