Abstract

The environment is something that exists around life or organisms. A clean environment means no disease, less flooding, fresh, clean air, and so on. The increase in the number of building construction and the number of vehicles indirectly affects the increase in air temperature in the environment. This results in air pollution so that green open spaces are increasingly under pressure. One of the negative impacts of this is global warming and climate change. The way to reduce the effects of global warming and climate change is to increase number of trees through planting. This community service activity is green open space training by planting Red Shoot Trees in Payacut Village, District. Peusangan District. Bireuen. This activity aimed to reduce the causes of flooding, reduce air pollution, and create a green and healthy environment. Community service activities were carried out through 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and reporting. The method of implementing activities was through lectures (question and answer) and demonstrations. The results of PKM activities were: 1) community understanding and awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, 2) increasing community motivation to care for the environment by participating in tree planting activities, and 3) creating a community that cares about greening the environment and a healthy environment through tree planting activities. Abstract

Maternity waiting home (MWH) is a home built in the compound or near to health facilities that provides standard medical and emergency obstetric care services. MWH is considered to be a key strategy to "bridge the geographical gap" in obstetric care between rural areas with poor access to equipped facilities, and urban areas where the services are available. This study aimed to systematically review the utilization of MWH to improve access to health service. The method of finding articles in this study was in the period 2014 to 2018, free full text, human species, and scholarly journals which were then identified using an electronic database from Pubmed, Proquest and Onesearch. Three articles were carried out with thematic analysis to identify the main points. Factors associated with the utilization of MWH included (1) Distance; (2) Complication during pregnancy; and (3) Income. Barrier in the utilization of MWH were (1) Inadequate number of room and postpartum bed; (2) Lack of water and sanitation facilities; and (3) Unavailable electricity. Partnership between health workers in rural facilities, stronger role of stakeholders, and a broader health system, were expected to increase the utilization of MWH.

Patients with hypertension and diabetes in Indonesia tend to increase every year. Diet and activity patterns are one of the factors causing the disease in addition to heredity. This study aims to determine the level of sugar and blood pressure in workers in open and closed spaces. The sampling technique uses quota sampling, namely 100 respondents who work in open spaces and 100 respondents who work in closed spaces. The instrument used to measure blood pressure is a digital tension meter and to measure blood sugar levels using an easy touch glucometer, both measurements are taken on the same day for each respondent. Data collection was carried out for approximately 3 months, from August to November 2024 in Bireuen Regency. The results of the study were obtained by univariate and bivariate data analysis, univariate results obtained the majority of respondents' age in closed rooms 38-52 years (50%), open spaces 39-53 years (51%). The history of hypertension of respondents in the closed room has no history (78%), open space has no history (68%). There was no history of diabetes in the closed room (68%), no history in the open room (82%), the frequency distribution of respondents' pressure in the closed room (84%) was normal, in the open room (74%) was normal. The results of the examination of blood sugar levels of respondents in the closed room were normal (94%), in the open room normal (77%). The results of bivariate analysis with SPSS through Independent T test for blood pressure of workers in closed and open spaces there is no significant difference with a value of 0.072 (>0.05), and there is a significant difference between blood sugar levels of workers in closed spaces and workers in open spaces with a value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: the majority of blood pressure and blood sugar levels are within normal limits and there are differences in blood sugar levels between workers in closed spaces and workers in open spaces.
